Glee Cast Shake-Up: Darren Criss, Harry Shum to Return; Chord Overstreet Out!
Glee delivered both good news and bad news for fans yesterday:
Darren Criss (Blaine) and Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) have been upgraded to series regulars for season three. However, Chord Overstreet will NOT return as Sam.
“well its been a good yr too bad its over, time for summer and starting fresh," Overstreet - who could still appear occasionally - Tweeted after the news was announced.
Ashley Fink, who recurred on season two as Lauren, will return next year. But she has not received the same upgrade as Criss and Shrum.

*sighs* That is sad. Letting go of Chord Overstreet after showing in the season finale that his character, Sam, and Mercedes were dating. Why? Why must they do that and get rid of other key characters so soon?

For your info "FINN" that Asian kid is Harry Shum Jr and he brings moves to Glee which doesnt have dancers to groove the show.. Harry Shum Jr aka.. Mr. Chang rocks.. So dont go being all racist and try to appreciate talent

all 3 of them should be series regulars! i love darren criss, he's worked hard (from starkid to Glee) as for Harry shum Jnr I've seen him in Step Up 2 and 3 and he's an AMAZING dancer and quite a good singer. I love them both. As for Chord, I like his voice and the sweetness his character brings; but i think the storylines with him haven't been very good. I wish he and quinn were still together - i absolutely despised the fact that quinn and finn cheated on their GF/BF to be with each other considering how mad they each were when they found out they had been cheated on before. Still i guess this is a drama after all.

I am so FREAKING mad!!!! I am very upset that the asian kid has to stay!!! I am very glad that Darren is staying but not the other!!!!! I mean Chord has only been on the show for 1 year!!!!! And didn't Kyle and Mercedes just start dating in the season finale???????? I mean really??!!!!! At this point i just think this is stupid and ridicolus!!!!!!!!

I wish they'd kept Chord Overstreet and let Darren Criss go. And Max Adler should totally be a regular, he's amazing.

Yay for Harry Shum Jr. and Darren Criss becoming regulars.
Now, the news about Chord is just plain shocking. I meant, right after they're giving hints for Sam-Cedes. It's just mean.
Btw, I can't see why everyone is so upset about Ashley being back. She's hilarious although I'm totally not into 'Pizes', I think it's a little forced. But she can stay and become a girl with a bad attitude. Just not in Glee Club.

OK, enough with trashing Ashley. No one deserves to be declared "ugly" bigfan. Did you not see Born This Way episode? Lighten up. The real disappointment is for Mercedes. It looked so promising for her and Sam following the crush of Nationals loss. Just hope Ryan and the gang of new writers can provide something to hold our attention. I am a true Gleek and if this is the last season, then leave us with great memories; not conflicted emotions about what McKinley's graduating class of 2012 would and could accomplish in the future.

I'm so disappointed that Sam will leave. He is such a good character and actually a nice guy. And you just had that moment with Mercedes in the finale.
