Jane Lynch and Mark Salling Respond to Glee Casting News, Graduation

at .

The cast of Glee will look very different on season four. But at least two of our favorite characters won't be going anywhere: Sue Sylvester and Noah "Puck" Puckerman.

In response to the announcement that Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer will all be exiting the series in 2012, Jane Lynch and Mark Salling recently spoke out on the shocking development.

Unhappy Singers

"[Creator Ryan Murphy] rarely makes bad calls," Lynch said. "But I think it's kind of cool that they will graduate. And I also think it's kind of cool that the teachers get to stay."

Salling, meanwhile, told E! News he had "no idea" the casting move was coming: "I'm just grateful to be there and have a job and be around as long as they need me to be and want me."

Could he see any of the exiting actors starring in a spin-off, an idea gaining momentum among fans?

"I'm not a writer, but I can see that being a possibility," Salling said. "I think that's a good idea."
