Kal Penn to Romance Robin on How I Met Your Mother
Kal Penn is headed back to the small screen.
The actor famously left House for the White House a couple years ago, as his character was killed off that Fox hit in order for the actor to take on a job in the Obama administration.
But the President will have to miss Penn's services briefly in the fall when he guest stars for multiple episodes on How I Met Your Mother.
According to TV Line, Penn will come on board as Kevin, a potential love interest for Robin.
Not much else is known about the role, but the casting reunites Penn with Neil Patrick Harris, who likely owes his rebounded career to his hilarious turn as a version of himself in the Harold & Kumar films.

I just remembered that John Cho was on the first or second season of HIMYM, which means that both "Harold and Kumar" have or will be been on the show... Funny as hell; hope Kal Penn gets an arch-type personality to his medical school persona from House & Harold.

Obviously it's hard for some to separate reality from media fiction, but it appears to me after meeting him, that Mr. Penn is far more serious than the characters he portrays and has done good work. http://bit.ly/oj6upw

so barney and robin don't get married? does this mean barney marries nora? and what about the other guy that was intrested in robin at the clothing store and they met again at a bar where ted said that he and robin were going to get married?
