90210 Season Premiere Scoop: Update on Nilver, Porn Business

by at . Comments

We've heard plenty about various characters on season four of 90210: Adrianna will try to redeem herself, Dixon will be involved in the music business, Naomi will meet a love interest and a rival at California University.

But what about Navid? Michael Steger offered the following update to Entertainment Weekly:

"I'm at the helm of this studio and I've transformed this porn business into a legitimate business, but it's come with some repercussion. It's a 19-year-old kid running a production company. And his father's past is sort of haunting him as the show moves on."

Growing Tight

Navid and Silver will also be living together.

90210 returns with new episodes on Tuesday, September 13.

@ Aries93: critics prefer season's 2 and 3, but fans clearly prefer season 1. A lot of people on these forums think that Rebecca Sinclair ruined this show. A lot of people feel sorry for Patti Carr and Lara Olsen because it's their job to try and salvage the mess that Rebecca's made.

Aries93

@Nikki: I think these new showrunners will actually repair the damage that awful Rebecca Sinclair woman has done with these characters and horrible storylines that drag on for unnecessary periods of time. Hopefully it attracts new viewers, as I hope this shows goes on for at least season 7 or 8. I know that's pushing it, but I'd like to see how these characters do after college and how they go in their twenties.

@Mark DeFields: I actually love Adrianna to be honest. I just got bored of her constant selfish behaviour towards her friends and her inability to see that she and Navid were becoming distant.
I did however love how she tampered with Silver's meds, her cunning behavior to break up Navid and Silver, her constant lies to stay famous, etc.
Granted, the writers could have done the stardom thing better to see how it can take complete control over you and your personality, but I was satisfied towards the end.
It's just stupid that Navid broke up with Adrianna because she was too involved with fame, yet, when she didn't care towards the end of the season when she lost it and tried to get him back. Hopefully, her trying to redeem herself helps him see the light.
I'm quite frankly annoyed that Silver keeps choosing guys over friends. She got with Teddy even after what he had done to Adrianna in season 2. She eventually choose to pursue Navid in season 3, while he was still with Adrianna. AND, if Ethan were still in the show, she probably would have went for him in season two, regardless how Naomi or Annie would have felt.

Aries, there were also a lot of problems with seasons 2 and 3, though. Dixon's gambling habit was done in two episodes...same with Adrianna's relapse. Liam beating up Jasper kinda got dropped. The hit and run storyline was a mess with really bad follow-up. I'm going to give the new showrunners the benefit of the doubt. Also, I'm pretty sure we haven't seen the last of Lannie or Navade, and there's spoilers to back it up, but it's pretty clear they're also dealing with different dynamics while Navid/Annie/Liam/Ade find themselves. If they give people hope, they'll keep watching.

Aries93

@Nikki: Just about every show has a drop in ratings after hiatus. Have a look for yourself. It's nothing against the show. But critics have praised seasons 2 and 3, compared to one. Season one never concluded storylines at all. For example: Harry's son, Naomi's mum going to France, Tabitha abruptly leaving, etc. The only good things that came out of season one were: Silver's bipolar, Navid and Adrianna's relationship, Silver and Dixon's relationship and the show no longer giving Shenae Grimes center. But to me, the thing about couples on TV shows, you always have a chance of them getting back together. Especially with new showrunners. They like to dabble and put things back the way they were with couples. So hopefully we see some improvement with Adrianna and Navid, Liam and Annie OR Liam and Naomi and Silver and Dixon.

@ Aries93: I'm well aware of how much people hate Adrianna, and how many of you wished that she committed suicide. I fail to understand why everyone wants Ade gone and yet nobody wants Navid and Silver gone. Unfortunately, that's the way it is. Personally, I think that Ade's by far the most interesting character on this show, whether she's likeable or not. Up until now, I never gave a crap about Liam and Dixon. But now that they'll be interacting with Ade, I'm finally becoming interested in both of them. And Jessica Lowndes is the only reason why I never claim that this show has bad acting.

You might want to look up the ratings because they were really good at the beginnings of season 2 and 3, and then they dropped after both hiatuses. Season 1 was huge and it was under different showrunners. So yes, I don't blame the new showrunners for playing around with a few things. You don't think people were pissed when Liomi or Navade got creamed? LOL. Every fan has gone through that. Trust me.

Aries93

@Nikki: I don't really think that you can say they were rated low, as seasons 2 and 3 have been praised as being much better than one. Granted, the ratings are not high, but there is an equal stance on both Liam and Annie and Liam and Naomi.
But Mark DeFields, people have had enough of the way Adrianna acted last season. If you read the review for the season 3 finale, a lot of commenters wished for her to jump off that cliff. And honestly, I wished she did too. I was quite frankly sick of Adrianna. So if she dare considered getting with Liam, I'd be pretty frickin' pissed.

Mark, I am clear. I'm also clear that Sixon, Navade, and Liomi were popular as well and they broke up. I'm also clear that we have some new showrunners and why wouldn't they try to do some different things? It's not like the ratings are HUGE. In fact, when Lannie was together, they were pretty low. I don't think they're awful but I don't blame them for switching it up if they do. I'll be supportive of any couple I like. Sorry. The show doesn't start and end with Lannie fans. I know some Liomi fans that stopped watching when Lannie got together. I think that's too narrow-minded a thought process to cater to one group of fans.

Aries93

@Nikki: I have to agree with Mark DeFields. People with want Liam and Annie, or Liam and Naomi. As interesting as it would be to see Adrianna and Liam get it on, it won't happen. Yeah, Liam has be known to push the bounds to get with someone, but I don't see him trying with Adrianna. I can see them both merely being good friends due to their horrible childhoods, family lives, etc.
I strongly believe that putting Liam and Adrianna together, when there has never ever been a single moment with these two on screen would just be awkward as hell, as the fans have never seen chemistry between them, nor have I ever seen talk about these two getting together.
