ABC Confirms Conclusion of Desperate Housewives
At its press tour session in front of the Television Critics Association today, ABC confirmed the rumor that got started late last week: Desperate Housewives will come to an end after season eight.
“It’s an iconic show and we’re extremely proud of it,” said network president Paul Lee. “I just wanted to make sure it had its victory lap.”
Creator Marc Cherry was in on the decision and said informing the cast was "bittersweet and lovely." He added:
“I wanted to go out when the network still saw us as a viable show and a force to contend with. We felt from a creative standpoint that this was the right time. I feel so good about it.”
Will you miss Desperate Housewives?

I wonder what happened with kayla, tom's older daughter? I must say that her dissapearence from tom's life is so unreal, I mean, after season 4, they never even mention her! I hope she returns for this final season!

I love that show, and will miss it but its time for it to go off the air while there is sitll some creative left! It started to get bad when they did that 5 year jump (thats when they jump that dam shark!! If they would have played those 5 years out, who would have gotten 3 more years I would say! Its true, "Ever good thing must come to an end"
