Mariska Hargitay to Stick Around Law & Order: SVU
Forget those talk about Jennifer Love Hewitt and even that chatter about Mariska Hargitay only appearing on 13 episodes of Law & Order: SVU next season.
NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt made it clear at the Television Critics Association press tour today: the actress is not going anywhere. She'll play as prominent a role on season 13 as ever before.
"There were some rumors of her dropping down, and bringing in new cast members. But Mariska is there in every single episode, and it's my goal to see that continues past this season," Greenblatt said.
As for Christopher Meloni's exit, Greenblatt simply said there's "not a big sort of shocker" - i.e. a death - planned.
Law & Order: SVU returns with new episodes on September 21.

My God! Michael's comment is horrible. Mariska selfish because it wants to be closer to family. It is her right. It just proves how much she is female. Mariska sexist? Absolutely not. Olivia Benson is a dedicated cop, accustomed to seeing men raping women. You know Michael, that every three minutes a woman is raped in North America. It is unfortunate that there are men with this mindset. Mariska Hargitay is my favorite actress is my hero. It is people like her that make the world a little better. Mariska is fantastic in every way.

I love Mariska Hargitay. Great actress, great woman, an amazing person. I very much regret the departure of Meloni. Thankfully, Mariska continues. When she left I do not see more SVU. What is your problem with Mariska? The only sexist here is you. Olivia Benson is a woman committed to her work and her ideal of helping the victims of sexual abuse. Olivia Benson is a professional, competent and tough because the work demands. Do you think it should be sweet and tender in dealing with murderers and rapists? But Olivia knows how to be feminine and kind when your job requires. And she is just beautiful, verdadediro a sight for sore eyes. Your problem is personal and I think you should suffer from sexual dysfunction.

Mariska is beautiful, talented and loved by thousands of people worldwide. And HGFM and Michael, two bitter resentful, who are always talking bad about Mariska, will die with his mouth full of ants.

Too bad they didn't lose her instead of him. Too bad she isn't going to be on fewer episodes. But good news that they are rethinking promoting her. That is such a unrealistic thing to try doing.
