Two and a Half Men Season Premiere Spoilers: A Funeral for Charlie

at . Comments

All will be revealed on September 19.

So states the latest Two and a Half Men promotional photo, but it sounds like we might not need to wait that long for major intel on the season nine premiere. According to Deadline Hollywood, the sitcom WILL, indeed, kill off Charlie Sheen's Charlie Harper.

As a result, the episode will center around this character's funeral.

Alan Moves Out

Look for various girlfriends from Charlie's past to show up for the service, and for his house to go up for sale. Potential buyers that will make cameos will include real-life celebrities, largely comprised of stars from Chuck Lorre's other programs.

Among them? Ashton Kutcher.

The premiere storyline will then be continued on the second episode, by the end of which Kutcher will have purchased the home and moved in.

Why didn't they listen to me? Ashton should win the house in a poker game with Charlie and Charlie leaves town with or without Rose. Much more possibilities as the family think they have inherited the house (Charlie has told Alan repeatedly he gets it, mortgaged to the hilt) and then Ashton shows up. How Alan persuades him to allow him to continue to mooch ought to be good for several episodes but I agree with the poster who observed that the interaction between brothers is very different than between 2 guys unrelated by blood. No one but a brother would have put up with Alan's mooching all these years. They're going to have to do some fancy footwork to keep this show from failing.

It would appear that Lorre wants to be sure Charlie never returns even for a guest appearnce (unless as a ghost). I am very disappointed that Ashton will be purchasing Charlie's home. I would have prefered that the house was left to Alan or even his mother who would coninue to let Alan live there. Then Alan, needing a roommate could have had Ashton moved in. I love the cast and will give it a try.

I give a try. what's sad is Ashton is a good Actor and I like him but hes taking a place of an actor who was there for 8 seasons. Ashton is taking in the 9Th season. but It worked on cheers when Kirsti Alley took over after Shelly Long left in the 5Th season and it lasted 6 years after. so it's possible that Ashton can make the show work. we want and see

I am going to watch the show, but it will not be the same. I do like Ashton Kutcher as a actor and i understand he is not replacing Charlie but coming in as a new character. Killing the Charlie character makes it clear he will never come back. What made 2 1/2 men funny was the interaction between Charlie and Alan. Two brothers fighting but supporting each other. I am looking forward to season 9 but my expectations are not to high. But you can't judge what you didn't see .

Maybe the show will get better see if your a REAL fan of the show you watch it no matter what

well the ratings will be spectacular for these two episodes after that...It will drop..People are interested in Charlie Harper's fate not some lame Ashton Kutcher character (and i quite like the guy, well at least he is handsome but he doesn't play in Charlie Sheen's league) so RIP Charlie Harper and RIP Two and a Half Men
p.s: looking forward to see Anger Management.
