The way I see it, the writers have to start each season assuming it will be the show's last, so they have to leave all the characters into a situation by the last episode where they can either fulfill fan's dreams and put Blair and Chuck and Dan and Serena together if the show isn't renewed, or have a viable way to keep them apart another season if it is. That's incredibly difficult!

if blair really is pregnant it obvious must be chuck unless she slept with louis and we were not told... perhaps louis belts chuck/ or dan does / when they find out that chuck slept with blair re: rumour why chuck is banged up. i love blair - i just wish she would stop running back to chuck who has a funny way of showing how much he loves her.

I'm sorry but WHY does Dair have to happen? In my opinion they have such a 'bounce of each other' relationship in terms of giving each other crap and greif and they're both witty. If they were to have sex or be in a relationship it would lose that 'sarcastic' friendship that they have already. Why do all members of the show have to have sex or kiss one another and be in a relationship? Dan and Blair won't be endgame and to be honest, I like them as friends and I'd hate to see them lose the friendship they have if they were to go further. To be honest, when I saw season 4 and all the scenes with Dan and Blair, I never thought of them as going further than friends like alot of other people did and were upset that they hadn't. All I saw was two people finding comfort in one another just as friends, I never saw anything romantic, it was just cute and nice to see. So I hope that the producers keep them as good friends, but for once can't we just see a really good friendship that doens't tur

I was quite dissapointed after looking at this photo and I would be quite dissapointed if the Chair/Dair/Blouis triangle was a main storyline in season five.
Undeniably, Chair have the most chemistry. Both Chuck and Blair are incredibly complex characters that are both the protagonists and antagonists of the show, and this creates some really intense dynamics. However, Chuck and Blair have been the central storyline for four seasons now, and (I say this in shame) but I'm kind of over the drama. Don't get me wrong I would love Chair for endgame, but right now I feel they need a break. Four seasons is a long time to watch that intense, dark and very painful love and i would like to watch something lighter for a while: Dair
Dan and Blair's relationship certainly dosen't have the epic quality that Chair does, but I really enjoy all their scenes! They're fun and they bring out that witty side of Blair I miss from seasons 1 and 2 while Blair was at Constance.

Chuck and Blair need to be together in season 5. I`ve explained so many times to other people that yes, Chuck has hurt Blair but she only loves him. I hate it when dair fans are like `blair`s a strong woman with dan` Haven`t they realised Blair is a strong woman on her own? And giving chances is good because you eventually realise the mistakes you`re making.
i think chuck and blair should get back together coz for me they make the show the rest are boring. And its time they had some Happiness coz blair and a prince come on what on earth are the writers thinking!!!

I still like C&B because the actors work well together BUT the writers need to redeem Chuck before I could seriously root for them. The writing has been pretty atrocious all around, with story lines being dropped with no conclusion and what not. If they're going to play this as a toxic relationship then the writers need to go for it 100%. Right now everything is so half-assed. why throw in stuff like the whole hotel/Uncle Jack plot line in S4 & the punch in 4.20 only to never address these events?? It's really frustrating. If the writers start to redeem Chuck, I hope they make it a long arc (I'd love for them to honestly address his alcoholism)--but I have little faith at this point.
I actually think adding Dan into the mix is interesting and creates a dynamic that hasn't been seen before/can keep C+B from being repetitive. I want to root for Dair but do find them sinfully boring when it's just them.
Sorry for the long, possibly incoherent rant. I'll keep watching becau

They're getting back together guys. Hugo Becker is a GUEST star, and has said to be leaving somewhere in the first half of the season. Dair is just plain boring and if it "comes back" (it was never there to begin with) the writers are screwed.

OK, just to clear things up - Chuck did NOT try to woo Blair in the season 4 finale. He took her out for a drink to get her mind off of an extremely traumatic event. As I recall, BLAIR was the one who threw herself at Chuck at that random kid's bar mitzvah. When Blair lamented her rash indiscretion and the fear that she and Louis were over, what was Chuck's response? Distance. Letting Blair decide what she wants. BLAIR was the one who advocated for their relationship, calling it "l'amour fou" and "a great love". Chuck even acknowledged that he didn't make her happy. So, my interpretation of these events are that Chuck let Blair make her own decisions. When Chuck did make Blair's decision for her, it was to give her away to the prince. Your articles are fun to read, TVFanatic, but accuracy should not be sacrificed merely for upbeat writing.

Besides, there are more obstacles than Chuck; like Louis' Mom & sister who don't care for Blair. Since we don't know for sure if it's Blair who's pregnant, I am thinking maybe her bulimia will come back. It always happens when you feel everything in your world is out of your control, but you feel you can control the bulimia. I can see that reoccurring in Blair through this whole process. Anyhow, I am looking forward to seeing what is in store for Blair and Chuck this season.

Say it isn't so. I honestly cannot stand Chair! Its beyond me why anyone would ship them. They tend to bring out the worst in each other and I don't feel that they make each other grow as people but whatever. Personal opinion and all that.
Though it will annoy me if they break Blair and Louis up. I mean marriage isn't some sort of joke. You can't say yes one minute and then do a 180 and say no. Marriage is a lifelong commitment and by portraying it as something that has no value it is sending the wrong message out to the younger generation. Call me old fashioned but I believe that marriage is a sacred thing.
