Never read the books but from watch the show, I think Dakota Fanning would be a good Carrie.

None of these. Their hair is way too nice to be that stressed-out mess SJP has. And as to a Fashion Icon? That always cracked me up. I lived in the City for years and NO ONE would have taken Carrie Bradshaw seriously. No one.

i think blake lively is the girl for carrie!!! she is the new sarah jessica parker as long as fashion trends are concerned and carrie is a fashion icon!

They should cast a relatively unknown cast like what ABC Family did with Pretty Little Liars.

diana agron would be good as carrie, but shes doing Glee.
i think a new face would be perfect for all characters!
I think they should cast someone unknown. Someone fress off the bus. If they use an already known actress, all we'll be thinking is "Look at ___ playing Carrie."
Since its a teenage Carrie, she doesn't have to live up to the Sarah Jessica Parker version. People change as the get older, so Carrie needs room to grow, otherwise there's really no point in a prequel series.

Don't give a damn, as long as it doesnt replace the Vampire Diaries.
Its a prequel, I guess the other girls are not there at season 1, maybe on other season and as for Carrie Elizabeth Olsen looks great, they look a little and she haves the same laugh and well it well be a fresh face.

Yay I have this book and I'm obsssed with sex and the city! I hope it isn't Blake Lively or any Disney star, I want a fresh face! And a good actress, remeber this girl will grow up to be the Carrie we all love, she can't be ruined!

This will not work. The Gossip Girl spinoff prequel never materialized. We know what happens to all of the characters so it's difficult to become too emotionally invested in the characters. I will say that if it's inevitable that they will film something then I think they should go for unknowns to play the parts.

Emma Watson to play Miranda and Ashley Tisdale to play Samantha!
Mackenzie Rosman could be a choice for Charlote.

it's a big legacy to follow! And I really don't know if it's going to work with the great popularity! So the script and cast must be TOP! Diana Agron would be a nice choice for Carry I loved her in IamNumber4! Emma Roberts was nice in valentines day!
You do realize that the next actress will have to have Sarah Jessica Parker's overall look? Not just any twenty-something actress will do. She'll also have to have the feel that Sarah Jessica Parker brought to the Carrie.

Unless this show is MA and is exactly what the original is like, but played by characters that are teenagers, I don't think I'll be interested at all.
