by at . Comments

TNT has pronounced the death of HawthoRNe.

The Jada Pinkett Smith-anchored drama averaged 3.3 million viewers this summer, placing it below Memphis Beat (4.3 million), Leverage (4.8 million) and Franklin & Bash (3.9 million). As a result, the network has released the following statement:

HawthoRNe Pic

“TNT has decided not to order a fourth season of HawthoRNe. TNT truly appreciates the tremendous dedication of everyone involved in HawthoRNe. The series gave TNT the opportunity to work with many outstanding people, including Jada Pinkett Smith and the rest of the show’s talented cast, crew, producers and writers. We wish everyone involved with HawthoRNe nothing but the best.”

Bring Hawthorne back because it inspires everyone who watches it so why do rates matter?

Wow!!! I really loved Hawthorn!! It will surely be missed!!!

Hawthorne was a great show. It brought flavor and excitement. The actors are great and I wish them well. I agree that the ending was not so good. I will miss Hawthorne.

I enjoyed this show. I hope all of the actors from Hawthorne rebound quickly.

Hawthorne yes...Hopefully "Memphis Beat" season three..A series that is good and probably will get better..Excellent cast/writers..Unique, with a growing fan base..

Caren, I agree that this season was a mess. But they should have gave it a season 4 and done better writing.. Plus Candy and the male nurse wasn't even on this season!

It's too bad that this show is ending. I enjoyed the first two seasons very much. However, this past season was just not that great. The writing was a bit off from past seasons and didn't seem to flow as well.
