TV Ratings Report: How to Lose Your Lead-In Audience

at . Comments

CBS conquered all on yet another popular Thursday evening, although Kevin Dillon and the series debut of How to Be a Gentleman couldn't capitalize on its massive lead-in of over 14 million Big Bang Theory viewers.

The new sitcom held on to just over half of that audience, as detailed below in our full rundown...

8 p.m.
The Vampire Diaries: 2.7 million
Charlie's Angels: 7.2 million
Community: 4 million/Parks and Recreation: 4.3 million
The Big Bang Theory: 14.6 million/How to Be a Gentleman: 9 million
The X Factor: 12 million

9 p.m.
Person of Interest: 12.4 million
The Office: 6.6 million
The X Factor: 12 million
Grey's Anatomy: 10 million
The Secret Circle: 2.1

10 p.m.
The Mentalist: 12.7 million
Prime Suspect: 5.6 million
Private Practice: 7.9 million

Wow. This is an all time low for Private Practice. Hopefully Benjamin Bratt's addition to the cast brings in more viewers.
As for Grey's Anatomy, I think it will hold that ratings as an average, as the abortion topic has had a lot of backlash to it and people have stopped watching.

I cannot understand a universe in which Big Bang gets better ratings than Community. How does something like that happen?
Who is watching this new Charlie's Angels? Are they watching it under pain of death?

wooo! the big bang keeps on getting higher!! although last night's episode was very disappointing to me!

if you take the ratings from TV by the numbers at least do it right, look how messed up it is. Vampires Diaries first in line ? Grey's the fourth ?
