If Ashton "men" writers think his running around naked and in a towel makes for a successful show then new writers are needed, not new cast.
Charlie should be on this show, we love the rest of the cast especially Berta and Rose, but not so much Ashton..He is creepy looking in that long hair and beard. He should go back to commercials.

Show is not the same for us either, not as funny without Charlie, he was 2.5 Men because he was himself. Dead or alive we hope Charlie returns. We miss Rose, all the show had to do was bring Herb over to live at Charlie's so he could live the "good life" he always spoke of and for CBS and Chuck L. and Charlie to make up and move forward with the show. Ashton brings nothing to this show as far as we are concerned..Thank God For reruns and DVD's. Thank you My65 for keeping 2.5 Men on reruns...

Like most of the posts here, we were big fans of the show, quite often just refering to it as 'Charlie', but the wife & I agreed with something Charlie Sheen said in an interview over the summer, that it (the show) was becoming a bit "stale", that said, and its not meant as a defense for Ashton Kutcher, but just as a nature-of-the-beast type of thing, no show lasts forever, not M*A*SH, not Father Knows Best, even Leave it to Beaver was on EVERY network before it finally bid farewell, a polite way of saying that it'd been cancelled twice. That said, this season was mighta/sorta 'one foot in the grave, the other on a bannana peel' from the get-go, perhaps Charlie Sheen sensed that and, "crazy-like-a-fox", found that orchestrating the whole flameout/lawsuit deal was a combo-platter exit-strategy/final-windfall, from a deal that was heading for a fall irregardless. No fan of Sheen personally but a fan of his character in 2.5 Men. Berta is a great character also. Something is not in sync with the chemistry, dialog, actor's movements in the scenes. It just isn't funny to watch. I watch the old rerun's and always find new line's that I missed in the previous 100 times I have seen the rerun. Sorry, even Cryer has lost his edge and delivery. "Where have all the flowers gone?"

Should clarify, I was never a fan of Charlie as a person. As a comedic actor, he was awesome and had perfect chemistry with the rest of the cast.

Who on Earth told this guy he could act?? Was never really a fan of Charlie either but this guy is truly bad!, and he's taking the rest of the great cast down with the show. Smooth move Lorre..

I have never been a huge fan of Ashton K. He is cute, but very young and a baby face to say the least. I think he is overrated to say the least. I have always loved 2.5 Men! My husband and I are faithful watchers. We love Charlie Sheen even when his life was becoming out of control, he still was professional and his shows continued to make us laugh out loud! He is so talented and draws chemistry with his co-stars! I was a fan to Spin City with Michael J. Fox and didn't think Charlie could replace Fox, but he was FANTASTIC! Charlie is talented and I may not agree to his personal life, who cares????? As long as he does his job right!!! BRING HIM BACK! The house is sad and I hate how they have made Charlie a broke, uncaring loser......NOT TRUE in past episodes......Not sure I will continue to watch this show any longer......feel very "hum drum" about it now.....

The scripts this season are so bad, I can only assume the writers believe 2 1/2 is the age demographic of the the show's audience!

The show has no central focus anymore. Chuck, you could make an entire episode before with Jon and Charlie alone. Charlie made all the actors extraordinary and it had chemistry. Now everyone is trying to be the lead, and no one is succeeding. Kill the show or wake up Charlie. Episode two was it for me after years of enjoyment. You pumped up the new season and its sucks. If you want to make your fans dance, pump up Charlies return and im in. I know Sheen messed up and I understand why you had to do what you did. Now fix it.

Waited for 2nd episode in order to have a more complete opinion. Unfortunately, this Tuesday I laughed even less than the previous one. I am going to give this show a couple of more episodes to persuade me but things are not looking so good. Chuck, please bring Charlie back!

Both my husband and I (who watch TAHM reruns EVERY night) are extremely turned off to the new show. We gave the premier a thumbs-down but wanted to give it another shot. Two whole hand full of fingers down! What's up the suggested nudity and why do they have to show naked men hugging? Ugh! Why have Walden and Alan wake up on top of each other naked and then mention his "morning wood". Is this another excuse of shoving gay rights down the poor shameful heterosexual viewing audience? Looks like it! It's really ridiculous and not at all funny. What's the point of having the teenage kid walk in on a nude stranger hugging his father? We don't get it at all. And then they give us some really ordinary ex-wife of Walden. She's no doll! They've lost us! And to have the mother playing some old sex starved hag...geeaaaaddd! Feggadabadit!!

Two and a Half Men now sucks, it will be canceled after this season. I love how people "like" the show because Charlie is no longer on the show. I also find it funny when people comment their daughters love the show, well my son hates it now. The plot and writing are horrible.

Lorre needs to be like Sheen - get over it. Years ago, the series "Dallas" made the same mistake - try it again - Make it a bad dream and wake up. Without Sheen, the show is done.

I love these “free” review forums, they’re extremely useful. The expensive Nielsen ratings only give me, (oops… I mean... you) a vague idea for how many TV sets are tuned in to any particular channel at any given time.
Look for some ideas found here in upcoming episodes.

I agree with everyone here. It’s now obvious the show had problems unrelated to Charlie Sheen’s personal life. I agree with Charlie Sheen when he said he showed up and delivered his lines, although he started looking “under the weather” latley. I’m old enough to remember my shock when they “SECRETLY” changed Darren’s on Bewitched. CBS & Chuck Lorre should have done the same thing here instead of getting greedy trying to cash in on all the contract hype just for the new opening season ratings. Now they don’t have the writing to back it up.

Second show had no laughs what so ever. I cracked a smile at the end with Berta saying skinny dipping was her idea. Kucher's character is whiny and annoying. Can't watch it much longer. They should have cast someone else and had a different story line. It should have been a half brother they didn't know about who showed up at the funeral. There would have been endless story threads that could have played off of it. This whole plot is dumb and ridiculous.

Show went the wrong direction with Kutcher. Seems they are trying to replace Charlie when they should have used Jon to "teach" Kutcher about life, ladies and everything else the show is about. Kutcher has had the same girl since HS and Jon has all of the experience with Charlie. Would have made for a perfect sitcom to watch Jon trying to teach Kutcher about everything. Jon is a hapless man as it is...could you imagine two going through the same!
