I didn't think it was as good as the premiere. A lot of it felt flat. Can all the French people just die already? The scenes between Louis and his sister were really painful to watch. Between Ivy in California and Louis and his family/Diane in NY, guest stars took up way too much time in this episode. Lest us not repeat season 4, writers! I do think Diane could be a great villain though and I will admit that the priest/Louis sister kiss made me laugh for a good 5 minutes.
The good:
-Serena... is coming back to NY! We need S and B back together again. Please bring B out of isolation! I love the character but she is SO boring surrounded by all the French people. Even though S will by in the city, I hope she continues to be career driven (ditto with Nate).
-The Blair/Dan and Chuck/Dan scenes. I liked that Chuck was in character without being a complete ass to Dan and Dan, similarly, was in character with his judgements but not in a harsh way. "Even you don't irritate me", the Cha

The best thing about this episode for me were the Chuck/Dan Blair/Dan scenes. I love Dan. I think that him and Blair have a really strong connection that some Chair fans tend to ignore. Dair are the reason I started watching GG and the reason I continue.

I also find it hilarious that Dan is an option in this poll. If nothing else, this episode showed pretty concretely that even Dan knows he's not an option.
The Dan/Blair stuff was alright, obviously platonic (nothing about "watching a girl puke because she's pregnant with someone else's baby" says "epic love" to me), so I didn't hate it. I do hate the suggestion that he's Blair's only friend at the moment, which- well, is simply inaccurate. But they've separated her from all her other friends to force it to be true, so... whatever.
The Chuck/Dan scenes were much better. I appreciated that Dan's impression of Chuck was both judgmental and wrong (that he was trying to hurt himself to get Blair's attention), and that he managed to get himself punched in the face in the process. Long time coming, that punch. Chuck's jabs about Serena were hilarious- "unlike Serena, when I reject you, I mean it" and his ownage of Dan in the "who did Blair last make out with" pissing contest was price

The awkward moment when the recap points out that Dan couldn't possibly be the father and still he's an option in the poll. Is is some sort of a consolation prize?
Anyway, the episode was downright dull. Serena was off somewhere doing something with a character most of us still consider a guest star. Nate was off somewhere else doing a guest star. Dan was everywhere because who isn't friends with Dan these days? Ugh! Blair was off to every toilet in New York vomiting her guts out. And Chuck was off somewhere paying dudes to beat him up. How very NOT interesting.
Surprisingly enough, the only scenes I enjoyed were those between Chuck and Dan. Watching Chuck Bass owning Humphrey is always a treat. Other than those moments, the show lacked emotion and spark. The most ironic part of all this, I could only feel for the guy who didn't feel anything. Go figure!
They seriously need to step it up and go back to the core relationships that this show used to be about. Is it so hard to giv

I enjoyed the episode overall, but the lack of Serena/Blair and Blair/Chuck was a real downer for me. I hope that is all resolved in the next episode, because I'm going to be tired of that PDQ.

I loved tonights episode too. Dan and Blair had such great chemistry (loved the bathroom scene). Louis' little sister, though she kind of came out of nowhere, was perfect! She makes a great villian! What a twisted, twisted family! I can't wait for Blair to take her down (if she can, if she's pregnant with Chuck's baby she's kind of in the wrong). Quite frankly though I don't WANT Blair to marry Louis for many reasons but the main one is Louis deserves better. And I for one enjoyed the Charlie/Serena storyline!

chuck and blair, blair and chuck.they should be together i don't know why the writers keep messing them up.they are endgame.
I actually thought this episode was much better than the premiere, I was intrigued throughout, loved duck, loved Beatrice, loved stoner Nate, and most certainly loved the best thing about this episode, Dair

I would not want to be around when Louis finally cracks. Does anyone else find Louis to be borderline psychotic?

How is Dan even an OPTION here? Dair fans I'm sorry but- they never hooked up. The way Dan was comforting her made that SUPER clear- or he would have considered himself as a possible father. The baby is so obviously Chuck's. This season will be his maturing into being a father for Blair's baby. And if it WAS Louis', it would be his struggles with the girl he loves having another man's child. But it won't be that, because Louis isn't a main character...
