This was a deflating and pathetic episode.
Firstly, I am resolved to the fact that Blair as in Blair waldorf is merely a shadow of her old self. The feisty, sexy, bitchy snob and Queen B has become what GG had said she was: "weak", "fantastical", "shallow", "non-powerful", and fickle. I mourn the loss of Blair Waldorf.
Dan/Serena - was that them or was that Blake/Penn? I believe that was Blake. That heartfelt speech came out of no where, what in the last 17 episodes instigated that crap?
Chuck was old Chuck and then oops, we must remember that the writers are "re-inventing" him and "redeeming" him.
And as for Nate's huge story line this season, did I miss something?

In conclusion, this episode was disappointing.

@taz Chuck's mum told him that she's not his mother but really she is and I know right we want Scott.

Btw as if Dan wrote his whole UES life in just one book, just having one book might not even cover like half of the first year when Serena came back.

Omg loving Louis even more, his becoming a sneaky little prince I tell you and who is the girl in the photo? At first k was like is that her(Diana) and that person was really gossip girl but than I was like wait she looks to old to be gossip girl but I swear that's her in The photo and than I thought it might be Chuck's mum but I was like hello we already met Chuck's mum. I swear who is that girl? And how did Chuck know what type of job Nate is working for? Sooooo confuessed.

This season seems like it's the last but I swear I hope it isn't :( they can have more storylines now that they're leaving teenage Life and entering adulthood :)

    Loved DERENA!
Liked how Louis layed down who was the man!
    Time for Derena 4.0 ;)

This episode was kinda slow but at least Derena and Chair will be happening soon.

The baby is of Louis, Blair will lost her baby, Louis will disappear from the scene after discovering the betrayal of his beloved, Blair will collect the shards of his shattered (silly)dreams, Chuck will wipe away the tears of Blair and they will live happily ever after.
Ok authors, Give us a happy ending for each pair and please end up Gossip Girl with this season.
So many things are absurd, but you have no stories to tell us.

i love this episode. this may not be as good as last week's but still it was good. i love the dan and serena's scenes. it was purely heartbreaking. the review was right, how many times do we see serena put herself in such a vulnerable position . i think that the reason why she acts the ways she has is because of the same reason chuck acts the way he is it is that they don't want to get their hearts broken and also because they don't know how to handle difficult situations since they lived a comfortable life and their parents aren't there to guide them. i think she is also growing up. the way she apologized to blair about being jealous was a grown up thing to do. i was impressed by blake's acting here i think if given the right material she can really pull off that kind of acting. the emotion she gave during the dan and serena scene was great.

i love how blair and serena interacted in this episode. i wish more interaction between them. i am intrigued as to why diana burned a picture

besides all the above what happened to Scott and when will he be returning? and where is chuck's "mother"....??????

    @ALF-
I, without a doubt, agree with you on the whole Royals point. They are basically wallpaper and have drilled my eyes out trying to watch them act. I'm mostly directing this at Louis since he looks like he was hand picked from Monaco's Most Boring Bachelor with two facial expressions and one hella annoying accent. Seriously, I find it impossible for the writers to expect us to invest in this so called "love triangle" when it's clear that Louis is nothing to Blair but an asswipe.

I thought the episode was a little boring because all the characters were with guest stars. But I really loved the Dan and Serena scenes. They have so much history and deep emotion. Even though Serena hasn't treated Dan right she loves him in a way she never loved Nate, Carter or anyone else. I felt so bad for her but I think this story will be good for her in the end. I'm also so happy Chuck is getting therapy. He needs it! I loved seeing Cyrus too. There's never enough CYRUS!

PS: I liked the scene between Eleanor and Blair, but that doesn't count. You can always assume that a MOTHER/DAUGHTER interaction will end in tears. And both of them are great at their parts so...

This just prooves me that GG episodes with ZERO DAIR INTERACTION are just... boring.

I did not like the SERENA/DAN microstory line, I did not like the whole IVY/NATE/DIANA scene either less the DIANA/BEATRICE/LOUIS/BLAIR/ELEANOR/THE OTHER FRENCH WOMAN fiasco.

All over the place, all boring and since WHEN is Serena's boss such a bitch? Didn't she admire Serena's HARD WORK? And for just ONE mistake she's all over her head? MAKES NO SENSE. AT ALL. Just like DERENA.

Ugh, let's just NO LIVE IN THE PAST, shall we?

Chuck going to a shrink that he started by wanted to GET INTO HER PANTS? So obvious. OLD CHUCK, YET AGAIN. He's all grown up until you flip a candy out of your pocket, and then he goes like a starving chubby kid all over your face, trying to take the lollipop from your hand.

The only good thing was the picture burning, that's when I started liking the episode. Too bad it was only the last 90 seconds of the show.

Oh well... good luck next time GG Writers. You'll ne

What an amazing episode. Though the beginning was just like any other GG episode, the last few minutes reminded of what GG used to be in season 1. With the whole royal family plot and Louis' reaction to it I was beginning to feel sorry for him because we all know that the baby is most likely Chuck's and Blair is going to leave him in the end. But at the end when he had the test results and called the psychologist... I wouldnt be surprised if he was the one who sent her after Chuck. Really want to know what he is thinking. If the baby is his, then does he really need to worry about Chuck? Its obvious Chair are over. But if the baby is Chuck's then why did he not let Blair know that she has been found out? Maybe he will have his own hidden agenda.

As for the pic of Diana in Bart's file, after the mention of Chuck's mother out of no where...Seems like it should be significant...

@Andie- Sorry for the misunderstanding. I f'love Cyrus too and I didn't mean to be literal with the use of his catchphrase. I have had "enough" of this season's round of guest stars- Ivy, the Grimaldis- and for some reason Cyrus was in my head when I tried to write that sentiment down. Basically I'm a whole lot of weird.

More familial interaction outside of The Royals would be very much welcome.

  14. pty

@ ALF: lol at your comment about the scene with the 3 GG boys, I loved it!

    @Alf-
I don't even know why I feel the need to defend myself but if you would read my comment clearly and in its entirety, it states CYRUS as the person I want to see more of. He is
Blair's father figure and hasnt done a single spiteful thing to anyone. Plus, the dude's wisecracks arent hurting anyone. Please, do enlighten me with why you think he's all wrong for the show.

  17. ALF

Wtf was that? This was my least favorite episode of the season so far- so ridiculous yet flat, uneven and outright boring at parts. My thoughts are as jumbled as the episode itself.

Literally every main cast member was paired with a guest star or guest stars this week for a substantial amount of time: Serena with her boss (who is at least entertaining), Nate with Ivy/Diane, Blair with The Royals, Dan with his agent and Chuck with the psychiatrist. "Not enough!"? No. It's too the f&*k much. Cut these people out and don't repeat the mistake of Thorpes past- the best scenes of this show come from main cast interaction.

Blair/Louis: Blair is being weighed down the most by guest stars. I couldn't care less about the whole plot. The royal family is the worst. None of them can act. I know that it must be difficult to act in a second language but understanding why these people are awkward to watch doesn't make it any less awkward to watch them.

The scene with Blair and Eleanor wa

  18. Andie

    @Mac-

Yes, one episode of Cyrus is "not enough!!"

  19. Mac

If they are redeeming chuck make it stick this time. Louis you've grown into a character instead of an idea, Bravo. First thing I thought when Diana burned the picture CHUCKS MOM. Wrong but whatever. First thought. Besides they look kinda similar. I got a fever and the only prescription is MORE CYRUS

  20. Julia

I think the scene where Serena tells Blair that Blair was the star of Dan's book was put in there to set up Serena feeling hurt when she finds out Dan really does have feelings for Blair. Not for Dair to be some big love story. I think playing up Serena's feelings dooms Dair. They might "happen" but we all know the real OTP of the show is Serena and Blair so any guy that comes between them will end up alone. Just like Nate didn't win either Serena or Blair at the end of S1 I think the same will be true of Dan. I really hate that because I think Dan and Serena were such a sweet couple. I hope they get a comeback.

I'm loving what the writers are doing with Chuck this season. Cannot wait until he's revealed to be the real baby daddy. Hopefully he's really grown and is ready to support Blair and be the man she deserves.

I'm still not into Ivy's story. I wish I could care. I think she has nice chemistry with Nate though. It would be nice to see Nate get a girl that loves him

  21. Mac

seriously I ship Dair and half of that is cause they make such a good pair the other half is because Serena is so god awful. Sleep with a con man? Check. Teacher? Check. Ex-con. CHECK. The writers want us to believe that Serena still held a torch for the guy after all that. Jesus you think writing a book and being around waldorf would make Dan a little less of a romantic pushover. At this point all I want from the series is Dan not to be with Serena , chuck and Blair endgame don't care but derena? I'd take anyone literally anyone over that terrible bordering on incestuous match. And yes as much as they're not siblings they share one.

  22. pty

@ Kookakicha: you are not the only one, she did had chemistry with Carter. And as for Dan and Serena, I see this is a matter of personal opinion and perception, for me is not an issue but for you it is, I guess I understand better your POV about it than others. I don't know what the writers are going to do with Dan, it just occurred to me that it is also possible that he doesn't have a love interest for now, like Chuck, so he too can focuss in his personal growth. I don't know if this will be the case, but it is one of many possibilities.

i didnt like this episode, honestly because it was boring to hell.

-Blair: i like the mom and daughter hug, but i need to see some mom action on Blair (maybe a funny scene with Dan)

-Louis: i kind of like him, but hes out to something, i think his not the dad but hes gonna change the results and make Blair think hes the daddy (after all she didnt open nothing)

-Chuck: how can we always end up saying: oooo poor chuck, well he deserves it, an Blair better not get with him afterl all he has done to her, thats not love, come on.

-Serena and Dan: please!!! she was like ¨ooohh Dan you are the love of my life¨ jajajaja and Dan was like: ¨ooo what ever¨. Its clear that Dan doesnt feel that way about her.

    Nate: who its Nate?

we need new stuff here; Blair and Dan were fresh and funny, they have chemestry, and they dont need to play dirty games to have something nice(like chuck and blair use to do).Im so over Chuck and Blair. I think Dan and Blair story has a big chance.

  24. GossipGirlPH

CHAIR forevs, but I don't want to see any more DERENA. They have been boring everyone since season 1, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

  25. Helena

The only thing that was ever interesting about Dan and serena's relationship was when Blair was making fun of them.
