I totally think that the ambulance is gonna get hit by a car or something, because it's in the middle of the road and it's dark/rainy.

In tonights promo for this episode it looks, to me, like Mer is upset and jumps in the ambulance to help Alex with the peds case because she wants to get a break from Dereck or the frustrating conversation they are having. It sounds like Dereck has said something akin to "we can always have another baby"........I know these promos are always dramatic, but the look on Christina's face at the end? Had to rewind and play twice..

When I first saw the life-threatening spoiler, I was thinking that they would be stuck in the other hospital tending to the sick newborn, because some rare disease broke out there. But, now that I think about it, I'm guessing they will be in a car accident and mer will be really messed up and alex will have to try to save her. that's why teddy is called away on another case, which is mer's life

Alex will kiss Meredith. He's been in love with Meredith for a time now, it's obvious, and he's been there for her a lot more than Derek, lately. I am not saying she returns his feeling, but it's been building for something like this.

there was supposedly a lot of crying by all at the table read for this episode that was tweeted by JCap a few weeks ago :-)
So hopefully it was because adoption was successful.
Shonda tweeted today that this episode has a "crazy cliffhanger"...

I feel that by the hiatus MerDer and Zola's adoption will be resolved, it can't keep hanging around until next year surely? The twins who play Zola must be how many months old by now??

super excited to see mer and alex work together. i really enjoy that the 5th years have to have a certain number of hours in other specialties because we get to see them interact with characters they dont normally do...like last week with callie and cristina. rock stars!!! i hope mer and alex are okay, but jcaps tweets said some of the members cried during this table read, so im bracing myself for an emotion packed hour ending with a huge cliff hanger

Also wondering why Mer is going to the other hospital since she was back in general surgery in epi 8, so why a peads case?
Derek does look very protective in these pics and it's going to suck having to wait til after hiatus to find out.

@Vickie- When I saw this pic I said the same thing! Last time she wore that coat she almost drowned, and now the spoilers say something else is going to happen! Ughh, stupid coat!

I'm worried what will happen to Mer and Alex.
Glad Derek is back to his McDreamy self. He looks protective in the pics and is carrying her medical bag. Maybe he is worried since the last time we saw her in that jacket, she almost drowned.

I wonder if Mer will go with Alex because it's an infant, and she's been on vagina squad? Or because they find out they didn't get Zola, and she's upset, so she goes with Alex to get away from a jerky Derek.
If MerDer don't get Zola, think maybe they'll get this "sick infant"?

The 5th years need to have a certain number of hours in each specialty which is probably why Meredith is on peds. Meredith and Alex will get into a car crash. Called it.

Why is Meredith going out of the hospital for a peads case. Shouldn't it be Arizona? Mer has never been involved in peads. When the writers do stuff like this it makes them lose credibility. Alex being there makes sense. Mer?. Nope
