Emma was sent away from the Fairy Tale Land when she was a baby; remember her father put her in the wardrobe? How could she be anybody from the Fair tale land; as she was only a baby and then sent to the real world. Make sense?

I think emma is the blue fairy from pinnoccio. She always knows when someone is lying. It kind of fits, especially if henry is pinnoccio.

Well I really think Emma isn't for Little Red Riding Hood because Ruby is, But there might be a chance Emma is sleeping beauty.

I was thinking maybe Emma could be goldie locks? in one of the episodes when Graham offers her a donut she says he is lucky he bought a "bear" claw? Goldie locks is a bit of a loner. But I am still seeing how that would connect with her being able to tell if someone is telling the truth and her like finding people.
i am really enjoying the show....but sad that Graham is gone! bummer!

I believe Emma is sleeping beauty because in the original version of the tale Sleeping Beauty was raped by a married prince. Emma could have been raped at some point and thus we have Henry. However, in the story there were two children born. A son and a daughter. Dawn and Day or Aurora and Jour (? not sure on the spelling).
When Emma kissed the huntsman he began to "wake up" to who he really was. Like any new mom I believe she kissed Henry before she gave him up for adoption . . . so he never went under the spell of the witch and was able to find Emma.
Sounds to me that Emma is going to have to go around kissing everyone to wake them up. Should be rather funny.

I think Emma might be Alice from Alice in Wonderland. In episode 1, when Emma drives her car into the sign, the book flips to page and pauses for a moment on a page that looks like the caterpillar from Alice and Wonderland and then turns to a page about Snow White. In episode 2 or 3, the evil queen is told that Emma had a troubled child hood. Alice was always looking for the white rabbit...Emma is good at finding people. This is just a speculation.

I think Ruby is the wolf from Red riding hood but i have no idea who Emma swan is. she can't be Aurora / sleeping beauty since Rigina was given a spell from Maleficent who used it on sleeping beauty. Emma could be the red riding hood but i want something better for her. she is royalty after all:))) but with her skills to tell when somebody is lying she is on track of being red riding hood:))

Im pretty sure Ruby is little red riding hood, she is always wearing red and she had that wolf trinket from her red car she lent to the pregnant lady. The way she dresses is a little racy for the little red riding hood look but they put spins on all of the stories so you never know?

I, think Emma,is going to turn out to be, Sleeping beauty! They have shown Snow White, Cinderella, so Sleeping Beauty is my guess.
Like this sooo much more than Grimm! I am therefore sure this won't last and the dreadful Grimm will be with us forever!

All the red that Emma has been wearing also made me think of little red riding hood, however I think the girl at the Inn is red riding hood-she had that red scarf over her head, and the older woman could have been her grandmother from the fairy tale. Because Emma is supposed to be Snow White's daughter, she doesn't have to be an existing fairy tale, in fact in makes more sense that she wouldn't be, and neither would her son.

I thought this would be a waste of time. I started watching it because I didn't feel like studying and this seemed like a show I wouldn't get attached to. How wrong was I.
I think first episode was really good. It let me waiting for the next one, which is not very common on my, liking 1sts episodes. So I think is worth to give it a try :)
ABC, you have never disappointed me (except when you cancelled Off The Map) so, bring it on!

We've had pretty much zero fantasy/sci-fiction series being produced other than on the Sci-fi network so it's definitely brave for ABC to give it a go. Having the producers of Lost seems to help; let's hope they don't create an over-elaborate plot.
Who is Emma Swan? Ans: I don't know, but the 'Red Jacket' reminds me of a modern little red riding hood.

Snow white seems very modern day cynical, wow, this is definitely a new take on the fairy tale world, very good, very refreshing.
