Following what many consider to be its best episode of the season, Ringer has become the first new drama to receive a full-season order of episodes. The CW made the announcement this afternoon.

Ringer was viewed by 1.7 million households last night, a slight uptick from previous outings. And star Kris Polaha told us that next Tuesday's installment will be equally buzz-worthy!

Sitcoms New Girl (Fox) Up All Night, Whitney (NBC)and 2 Broke Girls (CBS) have also been renewed for full first seasons.

UPDATE: The network has also now announced full season pick-ups for Hart of Dixie and The Secret Circle. Says Mark Pedowitz, President of The CW:

“We believe in the creative strength of these dramas, and by giving them back nine orders we can give our audience the chance to enjoy complete seasons of all three of them. With compelling storylines, engaging characters and tremendous buzz, we firmly believe that Hart of Dixie, Ringer and The Secret Circle can become signature series for The CW, the kind of top-notch shows that are synonymous with our brand.”
