Johnny boy I can't wait for your final remarks when this show folds and you see who the real love is for. Is anyone mature in college? They've both learned a lot from their experiences since, if thats experience than they better go back to school and learn right from wrong.

"...she told him if they had been going together it would only have lasted a WEEK. Does that seem like there is a deep love going on?"
Hello? Is anyone mature in college? They've both learned a lot from their experiences since. Alicia has learned, for example, that she married the wrong guy, since he was a rat who lied to and cheated on her whenever he could, even as she was waiting faithfully for him at home. She took a very long time to kick the bum out. She should have done it two years ago.
"...deep down she still has love and affection for Peter which will come out in the end"
She USED TO, and all it got her was betrayed, degraded, and humiliated in public. Those days are gone. On the contrary, she has NOW realized what a dirty rotten bum Peter was to her, all through their marriage. He's history now. And good riddance, too.

Does anyone remember the late night cell call from Will to ALicia talking about the college days ? If I recall they never dated in college but she did know about him, also in their conversation she told him if they had been going together it would only have lasted a WEEK.
Does that seem like thewre is a deep love going on? She is playing a game because Peter accused her of doing it with Will, deep down she still has love and affection for Peter which will come out in the end.

What a quality show! What chemistry between Alicia and Will! I so agree with Blu's comments and realize that Alicia can risk her heart with Will only when she mentally believes she can trust giving her heart to him. So we give time....Will will come through. He likes to win and he's experienced enough as a bachelor to know Alicia is the love of his life. Alicia needs time to grow stronger and feel secure in her decisions about/within her relationships. Our writers show us in their court case developments they are cognizant of the importance of human goodness and values enabling happiness in today's stressing environs. Thank you writers.

QUOTE: I understand why Alicia no longer loves her husband. The moral of this story isn't Alicia is a bad wife but that Peter was a bad husband, says who? The writers are doing a fair job trying to pull the bad card out now but in the end she is going to realize that Peter has been very much up forward with the family and she is the one who has been hiding and lying to everyone.
We have yet to see the downfall of Will and the firm and when the big secret gets out about Alicia and Will, sparks will fly and they will be high.

I LOVED THIS EP!!! For me this was vintage The Good Wife. I love the direction the writers are taking with Will. everyone predicted he would have played Alicia but instead we see him as the vulnerable one. that's great writing to me. Do the unexpected.
I watch this show for Will and Alicia and beyond the legal stuff, for me, The Good Wife may as well be called Will and Alicia. The writers are doing a good job with this couple.
The whole situation is very complex and one I would never want to be in but I understand why Alicia no longer loves her husband. The moral of this story isn't Alicia is a bad wife but that Peter was a bad husband who is now facing the consequences of his wrong actions. The heart is a terrible thing to mess with so husbands love your wives and don't create an environment that will bring death to your marriage cause sometimes, as in Peter's case, the consequences won't favour you.

I guess everyone still thinks this is a real life affair, the bottom line is just as the title is THE GOOD WIFE. Will can say all he wants about love and Alicia will not respond as down the line reality will set in that she crossed the line with herself and is hurting her family very much. We have yet seen any of the black past of Will that will blow them apart also the SA office will be investigating Lockhart&Gardiner and blow them apart.
The bottom line is coming to an end Alicia will be begging Peter for his forgiveness for all the wrongdoings she did to him which was the same as what he did.
Just because she decided to throw Peter out over the Kalinda deal years ago was not what you would call a separation, so what she has been doing is pure adultry. We have yet to hear what the real story was as to why Kalinda changed her name and was let go from her SA job, that doesn't sound like a one night stand to me. More like a coverup from her past involving a crime she had a big p

I completely agree, Maria! And I feel like at this point, Alicia being seriously involved with someone would just ruin the progression she's made. It would be great to see Alicia on her own...no Peter, no Will...but maybe with someone new, eventually!

Well, what I really think is that Will has deeply fallen in love with Alicia, but she doesn´t feel the same...
I mean, of course she likes him, cares him, and is having a good time with him, but after her problematic marriage I think she doesn't want to talk about love and a "formal" relationship anymore.
She has finally taken the reins of her own life, and she knows everybody needs love and affection (and, of course, sex) but not a formal relatioship anymore.
And I'm sorry, because I think Will has found out the "hidden" Will he had inside, he's betting all he has... But that's life: sometimes you win, sometime you lose.
Anyway I like Alicia, but I like the new Will, I do believe him.
He's in love, and he knows and is afraid of it!

Just wanted to say that Celeste is one of the most vile women I have seen on TV. It is like she grew up, raised by a buch of drunk men who taught her that she had to be "one of the guys" if she wanted to win. She is horrible. They have this character looking like she just downed a fifth and fell out of a bed to face the day! Yuck! She has one more episode scheduled. I want her gone.

This was a strong episode despite the fact that we could guess the real shooter(the "eyewitness") early on. Also my husband pointed out that the innocent bystander, who was arrested at the scene, was not given a gunshot residue test, which would have showed that he had not recently fired a gun.
if the police had done that routine test, they would have turned their attention elsewhere, maybe tested the "eyewitness" as well, and caught him in a lie. Also, don't most convenience stores these days have a video camera?

I agree with most of the comments. Like to see Alicia doing her "lawyer thing". She's a good lawyer and she's gaining more confidence in every episode. Liked that Will slipped the "love you" because I believe he does love Alicia. And, she loves him, too, but has a lot more to loose, especially her chaildren.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like Celeste. She's really over the top. If she stays I think they need to tone her down some. Why the awkward questioning of Will and Peter? What is she trying to prove?
I also think that this show handles race issues realistically. Black attorney defending white suspect. I didn't catch that the black eyewitness was really the killer. nice touch, because he was looking all "Poindexter-sh) with his glasses and the white guy was looking all scruffy. Good job, writers.
Also, writers, don't make Eli a whiney baby. I like him when he's edgy.
Like that Diane is bringing legal aid in house, again, didn't see that one.

Loved the show last night - but I do dislike Celeste intensely - she is quite nasty in a passive aggressive way. I think Diane's actions were believeable - she was conflicted from the time she sat down in the Legal Aid office - as always, loved the scenes with Eli - he is sharp and acerbic but still quite likeable. And Alicia and Will - fantastic!

I really liked the legal case in this episode. I HATE Celeste, I think she needs to leave NOW. Eli Gold is starting to irritate me in this season. Loved the scene with Will and Alicia on the telephone. I think deep down she loves Will, but because she was hurt with Peter and also you need to remember that Will has had past relationships with different women, so she is going to find it difficult to trust or fall in love with anyone for now. Really loved the scene at the end with Diane and Will supporting legal aid and bringing them in-house, so glad that is going to upset Eli.

Is it intentional that the DA office is portrayed in such a vile and disgusting manner? Cary deserves to be in jail for corruption and impeding justice - such dishonesty and ruthlessness has no place on the 'right' side of the law. And Peter is a felon - how can he be DA? This is a great show and I enjoy it a lot, but I'm tired of the liberal whining and the snarky characters, like Lisa Edelson plays

i loved this episode! way better than last week. the case was good and how they showed it was good (even though i figured out the killer in the first 10 min of the show) i liked how they went about it though.
the will/peter/celeste situations was awkward. there is tension between peter and will and i think peter wants to get to the bottom like about alicia and will. i think it will destroy lockhart/gardner once he does. i dont like celeste she really needs to go.

I loved the episode. This show is just phenemonal writing all around, all the time. They aren't afraid to push the envelope and they always pull off some of the most unthinkable things in an intelligent, ambiguous, non-offensive way. Truly hard to do. For example, I loved the case. I liked the refreshing turn of events where we knew for certain that they man was innocent. It made it all the more intense as you silently prayed that it wouldn't be *that* case where she loses and it kind of kills you inside. I loved that they brought up the issues of eye witness account and chose to reverse the racial aspect of it. If you've seen one forty year old, you've seen them all. When it comes down to it, yeah equally as plausible that the generic description could apply to just about anyone.I loved that. A great episode. I loved the Will declaration of love and really hoping eventually Alicia feels the same way. I think if anything, she will break his heart long before he does the same to her. The scene with Will/Peter/Celeste was absolutely hysterical.
I like Celeste's character and think it brings an interesting dynamic to the show. Despite her really not being a likeable person so far.
Enjoyed seeing Diane's soft side and the case as well. Really, over all, a wonderful episode.

It was wondering to see Diane go back to her optimistic, idealistic roots and give room to Legal Aid. It was also wonderful to see the hilarious Peter/Will/Celeste scene. I definitely would like her as a recurring character - much like Jackie and the irritating gay brother - because her propensity and enjoyment of stirring the pot is a delight to watch. It was great to see Lisa Edelstein move further away from Cuddy this week, growing into her character as Celeste (in my opinion).
The declaration of love from Will was perfect. It illustrated his growing feelings perfectly and emphasised Alicia's hesitation over the same show and the conversation juxtaposed the two different things Will and Alicia want from each other. It's not just me that thinks this is Alicia's belated teen rebellion, as her brother implied, is it? I definitely get a sense that Will is falling for her but her? Not so much.
Loved the Diane/Will moments - whether as antagonists, workers or friends, the two always
