The Vampire Diaries Round Table: "Disturbing Behavior"

at .

So... all THAT happened on The Vampire Diaries last night.

Katherine made her presence felt, Stefan was outed for still loving Elena, Damon sort of killed Alaric and Anna communicated with Jeremy from beyond. With so many happenings, there's no time to waste for Round Table panelists Matt Richenthal, Steve Marsi, Dan Forcella and Eric Hocberger. Let's get right to it!

-------------------------------------------

What was your favorite scene from the episode?
Matt: Rebekah's speech to Stefan about how, deep inside, Klaus is actually jealous of him due to Stefan's devotion to family. Leave it to The Vampire Diaries to craft a layered, sensitive villain, even as he slurps the blood from one innocent victim after another.

Steve: Rebecca seeing through Stefan's probing questions and outing him to Klaus. The tension of not knowing how this dangerous loose cannon is going to react, and how much he instinctively knows in a situation like that, makes for intense scenes. Forwood foreplay is always enjoyable too.

Dan: Caroline using all of her vamp powers to come and save her daddy from big bad Damon. It was nice to see her take control of the situation like that.

Eric: I have to 100% agree with Dan. So bad ass to see Caroline stand up to Damon. I'm stronger. I'm angrier!

Is this the last we've seen of Bill Forbes?
Matt: No way. If THIS RUMOR is true, even Caroline's narrow-minded father wouldn't miss the birth of his grandchild. Errr, grand-hybrid.

Steve: That would be hella weak if so. They introduce Caroline's gay, vampire-torturing dad, who is impervious to their compulsion, only for him to have a change of heart, hop in the car and peace out? I'm a believer that the show needs fewer characters, not more, but still. Seems like wasted potential here.

Dan: Absolutely not. Vampire Bill... sorry, wrong show... I mean vampire-hating Bill, will be back to cause trouble for our friends at some point. We know better than to write anyone off in this show, let alone the formerly horn-rimmed glasses wearing Jack Coleman.

Eric: Absolutely not. He's going to be the Uncle John of season three, Heroes connection and all! Hopefully he'll come back with some new tricks and not just be a snack box for Damon.

Are you on Team Anna or Team Bonnie?
Matt: Team Anna. She may be an apparition, but there's nothing temporary or phony about Jeremy's feelings for this lonely ghost. Janna forever! Literally!

Steve: Team Matty. Where was he last night? Clearly not smoking up with Jeremy, so maybe he had a double shift at work? Brutal. To answer your question, I forgot Bonnie was on the show until last night, and am intrigued by Anna's otherworldly presence, so I'll go with the ghost.

Dan: Team Caroline as always, but if I'm choosing between these two, it's Bonnie and it's not even close.

Eric: What happened to Team Vicki!? But if you're leaving me with those two, I'll stick on Team Bonnie. Witches are so much sexier than ghosts. Plus, you'll look way less crazy when you take them out on a date.

Should Alaric forgive Damon for temporarily snapping his neck?
Matt: Yes, but not for waking him up with that girlie drink! What was that made with, lemonade?!? The guy just had his neck snapped. Does that not deserve a scotch?

Steve: Should Matt Richenthal forgive Damon for repeatedly calling him Ric? The answer to both questions is a reluctant yes. When it's bound to happen again and you can't stop it, just accept it and move on guys.

Dan: On a serious note, yes. Unlike a few of the other times Damon has killed someone and then claimed he knew the victim was wearing a special ring, this time it was obvious that he knew Ric would be coming back to life. Let him take his aggression out of once in a while. It will help in the long run.

Eric: Yes, but only because it's my favorite bromance on the show. Far more fun than that fake Stefan-Klaus one.

What sight should Stefan take Klaus to see first in Mystic Falls?
Matt: How is there any answer to this question aside from The Grill? I didn't know there were any tourist spots in town aside from The Grill.

Steve: The football field. A little ripper reminiscing about the time Damon slaughtered the coach, followed by some Friday night gridiron action? Talk about your quintessential taste of Americana and/or human flesh.

Dan: The Salvatore's prison basement.

Eric: What Matt said. I was just shocked the truck didn't simply pull up to The Grill.
