Castle and Beckett to Move "One Step Closer" This Monday

Set your DVR to "Save Until I Delete" status for this Monday's Castle episode, fans. It's an episode not to be missed.

Titled "Kill Shot" and previewed in this video, the episode will center around a sniper on the loose in NYC, an eerie call back for Beckett to the events from May's finale in which she was gunned down.

"It brings up dormant issues of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for her," Stana Katic told me this morning. "It's something she's never experienced before because she's always so in control and, in this case, she doesn't have a clear handle on what to do."

Referring to the arc as a "great exploration" for herself as an actress and a "great progression" for Beckett as a character, Katic also offered hope to all loyal members of Team Caskett.

"Beckett will take one step closer to investing in this relationship with Castle," the star said, acknowledging that her detective feels the same way as her partner, but has been unable to be honest with him due to issues related to her mother's murder.

"It's been a season of secrets," Katic said. "Both sides are trying to protect the other, but if they were just open, they could probably solve this crazy relationship mystery the same way they solve every other mystery together."

See, people. There's a lesson here: honesty rules.

The resolution to Monday's heavy installment will be "sweet," Katic promises, but she can't say just how far of a step Beckett will take toward Castle. There's only this intriguing tease:

"She'll be close to saying 'I invest in you. I choose you. Even if I can't solve this entirely right now, I am going to fully dive in with you.'"

It's a plunge Castle fans have been waiting for seasons to take. Visit TV Fanatic as soon as the episode concludes for a detailed review.
