Football... dodgeball... synchronized swimming?!?

Glee is set to introduce another sport to William McKinley High School, as sources confirm to TV Line that Chord Overstreet will make his return to the Fox show in January as a member of the synchronized swimming team. To what end? To win back Mercedes, of course.

With Sam jumping into the pool, viewers will also meet a handful of new characters. Among them:

• Coach Roz Washington.
• Team members Webber, Vinny and Charles, described in casting notes as a nerdy girl, a nerdy boy and a handsome African-American boy, respectively.
