Gossip Girl Photo Preview: "Riding in Town Cars With Boys"

at . Comments

"Riding in Town Cars With Boys" is Gossip Girl's last installment of 2011.

The next three Mondays are all new episodes: "All the Pretty Sources" November 21, "Rhodes to Perdition" November 28, and then this one, which executive producer Josh Safran says you do not want to miss (as if he would say otherwise, or there's any chance we'd miss it). He describes the hour as "a tense one" to say the least.

Details are scarce right now, but our photo gallery below hints at some very interesting developments. Here are a couple of CW promotional shots in particular that will surely get people talking ...

Nice to Meet You, I'm Chuck Bass ...
Dan Blindfolds Blair

Dan blindfolding Blair into a candlelit room ... and Chuck taking her hand, possibly in that same room? What do you make of that? Clearly one or more Blair suitors not named Louis remain in the picture.

Between these images and the set photos of Blair's wedding dress, speculation is running rampant about how this fairy tale will play itself out. We hope you'll share your predictions and thoughts below.

Whatever helps you Chair-shippers sleep at night....

@Kookakicha- It's presumptuous for YOU to place the blame of Blair's scheming antics on Chuck. It would be completely OOC for her to act otherwise. We all know that Blair Waldorf gets worked up when she actually gives a shit. When she gets worked up, she does what she knows best-scheme. Blair went to wild lengths because she knows she still loves Chuck, but maybe the reason why she isn't scheming or acting out with Dan is because she doesn't feel so hot about him. And while his efforts were admirable, she's bored... and he ruined her pants (sorry, Chair reference). In my honest opinion, I don't believe for a second that Blair wouldn't jump at the opportunity to sneak around with Chuck if she were to ever get together with Dan. This exact scenario happened in season 2 with Nate.

It's presumptuous to say that characters will remain the same. Growth of characters ACTUALLY can happen. And it did when we see how Blair has changed from the first season.
People do grow and if the show wants to retain the little appeal it has, it should pay respect to its characters and respect the way they have gone. I think that the writers, at one point really wanted to show Blair as a grown up but then suddenly gave us this episode where she goes back to her scheming old self (and suspiciously, it had to do with Chuck's presence).
You know something else? If you think Blair can never change, then why are most Chair fans pining for a more mature Chuck? Chair cannot work if both Blair and Chuck don't change. It was proven many times before. So if anything, the whole "Blair will never change" argument is stupid because she also hurt Chuck (although considerably less).
The thing is, it's just not good for some Chair fans to admit that a more mature Blair can want something else than Chuck Bass.So it's better to state that she will never change with certainty (although nobody here is a GG writer) and that only Chuck Bass can understand her. If I remember well, those two did not work for a reason. And to say Dan has not changed is also ridiculous. The Dan who is in love with Blair knows every side of her, the bad and the good. He also knows that she is pregnant with a baby who is potentially not Louis'. Did he judge her? No he helped her out through it and I think that says a lot about how he has changed. With Serena he would have shunned this. Even his new friendship with Chuck shows that Dan has changed a lot! It is pretty evident to me.

CB please...

Dan and Serena are GROSS!

The DAIR scenes are the most touching. They are my favorite in all of GG history. A writer from Brooklyn and a beautiful weathly socialite who love the same things. They are simply AWESOME together. I shipped Chair until last season, but I have no desire for Blair to return to Chuck now that I have noticed how fantastic Dan and Blair are together. DAIR!!!

That Dan Serena still better be of him apologizing for being an ass. Can't see why she would even bother if it isn't.

I couldn't agree more with @CHAIR and @Helene. Blair will always scheme and Dan will always be judgmental. The way everything went down with Serena and his book proved that. Just like how Blair went ahead with her scheme concerning Chuck despite Serena's warning. Some people just are who they are. It's rediculous for us to think otherwise. That's precisely why Chuck and Blair mesh- because they accept each other. Both characters have acknowledged this. Beyond that, Dan and Blair will never work because it's hard to believe that Blair would settle for less. Chuck is the greatest love of Blair's life, yet she left him for a fairytale with Louis. Unless Dan has something else to offer, his "love" surely can not outbid Chuck's.

Dair are so amazing together!! and haters gonna hate, Dair all the way :)

@TinaTrina Just because the candles are lit on the table NEXT TO THE DOOR doesn't mean that the candles have to be lit in the table NEXT TO THE COUCH. It would be beyond pathetic for Dan to profess his feelings for Blair in Chuck's hotel using Chuck's tie to blindfold her. She'll probably just realize that she wants to be with Chuck again lol. Maybe Dan will get the hint this time. He deserves to be alone after how he treated Serena a few episodes back.

Gossip Girl Season 5 Episode 10 Quotes

Lily: Just because Carol made a mockery of her own debut does not mean Charlie should be cheated out of the experience.
Rufus: Yeah, she hired Karen Finley to go in her place and when Carol's name was called, Karen walks out wearing nothing but chocolate and a pillbox hat.
Lily: Now I'm a Karen Finley fan, but it was a bit much. We were barred from the Plaza for years.

Apologies have been made and the security breach fixed. But two weeks later, still not one tip. Apparently no on can hold a grudge like an Upper East Sider. And no one can lie like one either.
