Chuck's not going to die in the car crash, it's more likely that Blair will lose the baby because of it :(

I didn't enjoy this episode very much. Aside from those moments between Chuck and Blair, I felt like there were no significant contributions to the over-all storyline of the show. All I look forward to now is seeing Chuck and Blair together again.
The Ivy/Charlie storyline brought in some intrigue and temporary nerves on whether or not she'll be outed. But when you look at it from a logistical point of view, it's kind of hard to out this character and her deceptions seeing as how the actress is signed on for the rest of the season. And I couldn't imagine her still being a regular despite being outed. So, the story is pretty intriguing to watch but you kind of know where it goes.
Nate and Dan were a bore for me. It felt like their individual storylines were just for the sake of showing their characters and filling in time.

if they kill chuck i think the chair fans will murder the writers - @ Ana Michel
that would be seriously stupid. plus they already tried that at the end of season 3. in saying that - i really hope this is the last season.

What kind of message do you expect from Gossip Girl. I mean lets look at the Serena and Blair dynamic, how unhealthy and wrong is that. And I don't meant the way they treat each other but the whole idea that no matter how hard Blair works she will never succeed but Serena will walk down a street and get what she wants? There are a lot of things about the show that are not good for young girls to see but they do it anyways.

hello guys,
I have seen the spolier of 5x10, and I think they will kill chuck. In the car accident, that's why Lily was crying.
If you look at the episodes 11,12,13, are not in any scene chuck and blair. omg, do you believe that something will make to chuck? I can not believe it, as well, I stopped watching the show.

I loved the Chuck and Blair scenes in the episode. I loved that he told her she didn't drag him into the dark but that losing her and him become dark and desperate. I loved that he called her the lightest thing that came into his life and how he described that losing her was the worst thing in his life (Blair means so much to Chuck the romantic in me totally swooned). In terms of character I also loved that Chuck made it clear that he changed for himself I feel that is really important with growth.
Looking at the previews for the next episode I'm filled with an odd mix of excited and dread. I'm excited because it looks like there will be great Chair scenes but dread because there is a car accident so I'm willing to bet a lot of money that it ends up pushing them apart...again. Thus my hiatus of GG will go longer then it really will show wise as I only watch for Chuck and Blair.

Can I just say that Blair freaking rocked tonight!!!! Or more specifically Leighton did :worship: I loved the therapy scene it was like everything great about CB all boiled in one, funny, witty, with a touch of heart and angst. CB were powerful tonight...although Ed felt a little flat performance wise in a few bits and pieces but overall they were superb.
I even didnt mind the Dan stuff because I kept picturing the writers going through the same ordeal with all us GG fans and couldnt help but find it kinda amusing  I think its nice to see that the writers and the fandom can just take a step back occassionally and make fun of themselves and not take things too seriously.
Overall the episode wasn't perfect, some parts dragged but things seem to be moving forward at a much better pace then the start of the season and the storylines are becoming more interesting and intense as each episode moves on....its making me really really excited about the next lot of episodes coming up a

Side note: What ever happened to Lily's trial? The storyline seems to have been dumped and has had NO mention since episode 2 (or 3). I'd actually like to see Lily rot in prison for a while. Change the layout of the season.
As for the promo - HELL YEAH! DAIR SCENE!

"I can't imagine the day I won't"
The best thing about this episode was the great Chair scenes I love the new Chuck.
I didn't mind the Charlie stuff, she actually appreciates the clueless Rhodes family - I kinda hope she is never outed
Max needs to get lost, he claims to have loved her but he switched at the first sight of money.
Now the real question is what the hell happened to the real Charlie Rhodes??? Maybe she's Gossip Girl, lol

I found this to be an interesting episode for the fact that it focused on Ivy. She - along with Dan, Blair and Dorota - are the most interesting characters and the only ones worth watching.
Every other character bores me to the depths of hell. I don't mean to diss the show, but when you ruin characters with boring and typical storylines for that character, they stay ruined!

I don't get why people think the Dair path is ridiculous. The Chuck/Blair relationship was great in the beginning, but their relationship became so unhealthy, that I'd rather Blair end up alone or with someone like Dan. I'm sure that the writers are aware that a large portion of the viewers of this show are young girls. An ending that rewards Chucks emotionally abusive behavior towards Blair would send a terrible message to young viewers. It's ironic that Blair, who was meant to be this powerful woman, becomes the antithesis of feminism when she dates people like Louis, who tries to control her, or Chuck, who tries to pimp her. Seriously, this show is one bad actress short of a Lifetime movie!
In contrast, when Blair is around Dan, we finally get a glimpse of the strong independent women that she wants to be. So I guess, this is why I still prefer to live in "Dairyland", as one Chair fan said!

I liked this episode surprisingly, even if it was centered on the Rhodes too much. Charlie is a badass and a schemer but I do wonder if she has other reasons to remain there. Not that I don't want her (lol) but there should be another point in her character, wouldn't it?
I also loved the Chuck and Blair scenes. Chuck telling her that she was the lightest thing that happened in his life made me so happy. This is proof that Chuck and Blair love each other's dark and light. Falling in love with her made him better and gave his life a meaning. Hopefully they'll be reunited soon even if I think the car crash will make both rethink about this decision... :(

was anyone else completely aroused by Working Nate this week? more of that please! there's no denying the kid is damn fine in a suit and a few brain cells to match.
also, i don't want to be abused but i'm really sick of the chair bashing. do people not see that the characters are growing together and apart? one of the very few things chuck has been honest about with himself is his irrevocable love for blair waldorf. I don't like when past relationships (eva and raina) are dragged into the scheme of things just to prove a point. was he truly inlove with those other girls? probably not. we all now the one true love chuck bass has ever had is blair waldorf, and he even told us himself tonight. all this 'chuck's love for blair isn't special' is like saying dan can't be inlove with blair because he's been inlove with hundreds of girls on the show.
anyway, loved chair this week, next week looks so interesting i cant WAIT!!!
but to be honest i hope max BURRIES Ivy as soon as possible

Ivy took up too much of this episode and it was pretty darn boring. And Wow i didnt expect there to a full on Chair so soon. I like them but they should have their own storylines. @bimboboop whoa, you said everything I wanted to say and more, in a very clear and concise post! what made Chair exciting in S1, S2, and even a little in S3 is gone. after Chuck declared his affections for Eva and Raina in S4 his one and only love for Blair didn't seem as special. add temper, anger, and abusive tendencies...and it just became too much.
my biggest problem is even when Chair aren't together....they're together. there's no break. the characters aren't allowed to step away from each other to grow. Blair is supposed to be getting married to Louis, and yet she finds a reason to go see Chuck at the drop of a hat. it defies logic. these characters were conceived as much smarter than this.

Also, when I say "He witnesses the whole accident orquestated by LOUIS, but without him knowing that BLAIR was also on the limo. So... the promos show a great episode. But TOO predictable.
DAN will listen to BLAIR whine about her uncertainty. There's a party and DAN will kidnap CHUCK into a room, then he will bring a blindfolded BLAIR so CHAIR can work things out. DAN just wants BLAIR to be happy it seems, and he sees that with CHUCK.
By the way, BLAIR came to this party with LOUIS who, when BLAIR is away, will talk to SERENA about "wanting Blair back". SERENA, being the endeless fountain if dumbness she is, will say probably something like "Oh, but Chuck the love of her life", triggering into LOUIS' mind that he has to get rid of CHUCK so that BLAIR can be his. He calls someone on the phone, perhaps some bikers?...
CHUCK and BLAIR will sneak out of the party and get on CHUCK's limo (*so vintage GG*) then we'll see the whole CHAIR interaction blah blah. On the other side NATE will want the trughfull scoop on the royal wedding, so he will find BLAIR leaving with CHUCK and decides to follow them. He witn
