Monday nights episode won its timeslot for the 11th week in a row. Numbers were down of course (as were most shows) because it was a rerun but it still won over other networks that were not showing reruns. CBS lineup on monday has been consistently winning every week.

H50 is going to be just fine and eventually lori will be gone. I have accepted that she may be here the whole season but I really do not see her here long term. I will watch for the other four and patiently wait for the higher ups to make the right move and go back to the formula that worked for season 1. I do believe we will have many more seasons of this show to enjoy. The only concern I would have as fans is how long will Alex want to do television cause he is one hot commodity right now. As long as he stays on as the lead we should have no worries!!! I have decided to just sit back and enjoy the show. I do believe lori will either be killed off or will be taken off the task force by the governor. Either wa

@Mike - I totally agree with your comment. I'd forgotten how funny last season's shows could be and "cringe factor" is a great way to put it.

I saw the preview and it looks like tonight's episode is gonna be a good one! It was also really cool to watch the old repeat last night. The core four getting it done with all the suspense, excitement, humor and chemistry that made the first season so watchable. This season is becoming more of a chore to watch due to the "cringe factor" when a certain someone constantly appears on the screen. I'll certainly feel bad for the other four if CBS doesn't buy into another season. It's a shame because it can be fixed so easily...

If you skip through the Lori scenes what do you have left? She is everywhere, you got about 10 min. I watch TV to be entertained and if someone ruins my entertainment at some point as much as I love the core 4 I just can't watch any more. Last year I looked forward to every ep now I dread it. I have the DVD of last year and that's becoming hard to watch as it reminds of what was and what could be with one simple change, get rid of Lori.

    Message for martinelli:

I don't HATE Lori,I dislike her because she screwed up the whole show.
I desire to ignore her and focus on the amazing 4 core characters so badly, but it's just impossible coz that girl jumped in and out almost everywhere.Everytime I was enjoying the 4 core characters' scenes then she showed up which ruined my good mood.
Let me put it in this way:there's a yummy-yummy soup for you,but all of a sudden you see a fly in the bowl, how could you expect yourself to eat it?
    So you see!Am I understood?

  11. Plain Jane

@martinelli, I would love to ignore her, but I can't. She's ruined the show, possibly beyond repair. I'm not giving up until she's gone.

    At least there's a season one repeat tonight! : - ))

I just went back and read the review again and I don't want Jenna to rest in peace. She is responsible for at least 4 murders, the witness against Wo Fat, the 2 cops, the Japanese fighter pilot and possibly Laura Hills.

Loved this episode. Saw online somewhere they had to cut 15 - 20 minutes out so it fit the tv format. I would bet a lot of our complaints or questions may have been answered in those cut minutes. Would love to see them. In the meantime, it is not a reality show ( and I use the term "reality" loosely) but an hour to showcase both a beautiful island with some beautiful and very talented people solving crimes. I enjoy the bromance, the humor, the guest stars and the plot twists. In my ideal world, the advertisers would get less than the current 15 minutes per hour so we could see more of the show.

I'm so glad I purchased all of last season on DVD. Now I can enjoy all of the REAL actors and good plots as much as I want. This new season has its moments but leaves much to be desired. When what's her name pops up, I feel like I'm looking at a blank white wall talks a lot and doesn't really say anything...

    Message for the "Lori haters"

Guys, there are four amazing actors besides her in the show. Ignore her and enjoy the performance of the others. As it seems, she will be part of Five-O no matter what we think or how we feel.

@Loretto. You are right on the money with that. Lenkov was throwing us the proverbial finger with some of those Lori scenes. I dont believe theres any meaning to the hug for instance, it was merely thrown in to annoy.

I think thats actually a good sign that shes on her way out. Hes probably been prevailed upon to write out his own creation by network bosses and now hes a little miffed and intent on making sure that he takes her out with as much irritation to us as possible. So buckle up people, the next few episodes are going to be rough!

@angry50fan: But it's interesting how it's apparently alright for a small group of Lori-lovers to tweet repetitively about how they think she's so wonderful (still not explaining *why*, so far as I can see) but it's not alright for people who are less keen to express their opinions.

Let's just say I'm not impressed...

  18. angry50fan

@azziria: yeah,I'v been following PL's tweeter, and there was one responding to the negative comments he'd received. He thought those negative comments were all sent by the same persons over and over again. He did not and will not give a shit about fans' feelings, which is such a letdown. And I don't think he'd like to listen to our honest voices about the show.Sorry for H50!

  19. azziria

Lenkov *has* to support his character choice and his actress, I wouldn't expect any different of him (just as I would expect my boss to back me up to our clients, however things were going behind the scenes). However, what has upset him is that he's continuing to get the same negative reactions to the character posted over and over again - to which I say, so long as the same things continue to be wrong, and so long as people are getting no clue or feedback as to whether their comments and concerns are being heard, then of course he's going to get the same comments over and over. A lot of fans are very frustrated right now.

Personally I would like to see Lori written out because in my opinion she doesn't bring anything to the show. Her character is two-dimensional, I have no idea who she is, what she likes or what she does, I'm not seeing either her profiling skills or her connection with the Governor, and I'm fed up with her being perfect. A flaw or two might make her more likeable.

Just a thought re Lori: I've been reading that Lenkov has had some choice words for the anti-Lori folks, of which I am one. Dont know if that's true - haven't read his tweets - but it may be that the final scenes (Lori with Max's movie night and the hug in 2:10) may be his "in your face" response to the criticism. The more the complaints against his possible wish to keep her going (the actress or the character - maybe both), the more he may wish to highlight her outside of an episode's momentum. Or, I may be completely off.

@Mike...yes your right, I was talking about epi 2.9 which has over 11 million viewers. The ratings for 2.10 just came out and they did go down a bit. They posted on CBS site that 2.10 still had more viewers then last epi of season 1. H50 has won its time slot at 10 P.M. for the last ten weeks for the key demographic of 18-49 yr old. This was just posted at CBS also.

I am quite sure ratings will go up when a certain character is gone. Fans are getting impatient. They just posted the name of epi 2.13 on CBS site as well and Lori is listed as being in it. This should be her last epi but it does not seem that it will be.

  22. Mike

    Amazingalex,

    Just so you know:
    Episode 02-10: Monday, 11/21/11
2.8 in the demo (-15% week-to-week change) with 10.59 million

@M, can't imagine Kono and Steve together (I like him with Catherine), but Lori gone? We can agree on that!
