Ricky Gervais to Run It Back as Golden Globes Host

NBC has finally made an intelligent programing decision. Sort of.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced today that Ricky Gervais will return as host of the Golden Globe Awards in 2012, despite a controversial (read: hilarious) stint at the helm this past January.

The event will air on the Peacock on January 15.

It already sounds like little will change for the creator of The Office, who Tweeted this afternoon that Oscar host Billy Crystal agreed to “not use any of my Holocaust or pedophile material."
