Delena is actually a great example how a true couple should be formed, with time, and with passions trough friendship, with truth and lies till you get yourselves to a point of understanding! I don't hate Stelena, BUT they just jumped into their relationship because they had a crush on eachother. Stefan loved and still loves Katherine but he keeps denying it like Elena does with Damon. Delena's chemistry is killing me, everytime they look at eachother it's like they are shy or something, especially Elena, it shows how much she's in denial... well, i guess her denial won't last long now that they're almost everytime together, it makes it harder for her to deny her feelings, i'm pretty sure she'll just jump at him some day, that's gonna be a very hot and unexpected moment between them))))
I'm so much more proud being in Team Delena now that they won.

Let's not try to discuss on which brother is the worst. They both are. Stefan ate Elena's ancestors, bit her, wiped off an entire village (probably with babies) and he's a ripper that enjoys killing ; Damon killed Jeremy, killed random people in the Pilot, killed the girl in 2x12. They both have their flaws. Find something else, less childish and pointless.
Now good article. DE's not a teen couple though. Damon&Elena's relationship is real, it has a long build-up, isn't rushed like SE who got together in two episodes without knowing each other, they're both deep and complex individuals, and they bring out the best in each other. While SE is rushed, based on an "epic' conversation we never saw, they stagnated since S1 at point 1, they fell in love with an illusion of their partners, their relationship is based on lies and half-truths, and they bring out the worst in each other. Very clear to me that this contrast was intentional. A story wouldn't have any impact with SE. Any goo

OMG "Rose" broke my heart. :( After he finally admitted his feelings he compelled her to forget. I swear, I started liking delena when he saved her that night under the car. I started to really love them when he told her this. They break my heart because they tug at my heart, Stelena never did that. Delena is my Pacey and Joey all over again. Dawson and Joey were soulmates and were cute like Stelena. Pacey and Joey couldn't live without each other. Ah I have to watch some delena clips on youtube

I've never seen two characters burn the screen with their heat like this before. They don't need to say a word, you can't take your eyes off 'em. The intensity is suffocating. You can read quotes all day long but what makes delena epic is watching them on screen. Delena Cooking together is more sexy then a stelena sex scene.

I love Damon because he is REAL and wears his heart on his sleeve. Damon is perfect for his imperfections, he's not cookie cutter and doesn't try to be. I love that Elena is getting an edge because she is changing and some of that is due to Damon. She is becoming a woman and Damon is gonna be right there no matter what. Damon has changed for the better and she is the reason. Those two have come a long way since season one and I'm excuted for more. Life isn't a sprint its a marathon and these two might just get to the end together :)

Season 1 was about Damon chasing his brothers girlfriend. Season 2 was Damon crying and crying about his brothers girlfriend. Season 3 more Damon. I loved this show when Damon was tough, when he wasn't chasing elena. and I loved the romance between Stefan and Elena. So far because it's way way to much the Damon and Elena romance I haven't like it.
@Leta first of all, this isn't a thread, it's an article where everyone is free to comment too, second i have accepted a long time ago that delena will happen and i got over it ;) and the rest of your comment? That is YOUR opinion, and i and a lot of others have a different opinion. I will never deny their chemistry because i'm not blind, i just stated that Damon has done a lot of sick things to her FAMILY and FRIENDS and that is why I can't see the epicness of course you are free to feel the epicness.

@leta:as far as am concerned it's only jonathan gilbert that stefan killed (bt he even survived it was later that he died)and elena doesn't even knw him,so it won't matter to her,wat abt damon dat killed her father,her mother and even turned her into a vampire,her brother,r u saying dis means nothing to her?and i agree stefan is nt angel bt neither is damon it's u guys dat r trying to make him look like a pure soul,that he is only acting the way he was coz he has never been loved,he always get hurt,does that excuse all his murderous stuff,i knw stefan is a worse vampire than damon and he(damon)may nt be a ripper but he kills as well.

I agree, I've never loved a couple more than Delena. But you are very brave making them your pick. I have never come across a more bitter, nasty fan base than TVD. Some people act like spoilt brats when things aren't going their way, and they bash and personally insult actors, writers, fans etc over a fictional TV program about Vampires. Not healthy.

Delena will have their time, get over it. Its a tv show and I enjoy Delena but since you bring up Stefan....he's cute but boring. Elena and him had no fire, no romantic chemistry. @bella:i'll always had ur back and agree with every u said,yeah he has hurt all of her frnds nd relatives and dat's nt suppose to be a way to treat the loved one's of the woman u love,bt unlike stefan he's always been kind to them especially caroline,he even agree to take jenna's place for the sacrifise rituals coz he didn't want elena to lose her aunt,he got into the tomb to save jeremy's life frm katherine knowing very well that he can't come out,he saved bonnie's life several times,stefan has done alot of good things to elena that u can't even compare them to that of damon.

Nice argument for DE, I like the pairing but not wild about it. There's something about Elena that's off putting to me. I feel that she has yet to match Damon's fire, but she's slowly getting there. I don't want a sweet love story, that belongs to SE and we already saw it and it's done. I want a passionate, dark, desperate and frenzy kind of love. It might not last, but it will be extremely exciting to watch.

Great article girl. I'm still a Tyler Lockwood groupie, but you brought up some very good points :) That scene in "Rose" made me tear up. And when he tells her in "The Reckoning" that he'll never leave her, I loved it.

I'm sorry there is nothing Epic about this none teen couple. There relationship along with Stefan has caused nothing but death and chaos all around them! It's has caused two brothers that onced loved each other befored they turnered to have no chance of ever having that brotherly love ever again. They fight for a girl who said a few months ago she didn't want to become a vampire and said she didn't no what love really is! But yet she's been quoted saying I know I love you Stefan? I'm sorry it's not like these people couldn't have made better decisions that could of lead to less people dying. But instead they all think about there own selfish need for there love of Elena. You know what Epic is? Its when innocent people are thrown together through unfortunate circumstances and had no choice or decision leading to those circumstances. They have struggles that they don't understand but fight through it together and that are there for each other in the face of death. IMO use missed the mark

No i do not agree. The article forgot to mention the part were he snapped her brothers neck right in front of her with her begging him not too. And that is just ONE of the things why this couple is disturbing. Forgive me for not seeing anything epic in delena.

Well written, very thoughtful and compelling! Delena hasn't even gotten together and its all we talk about. I just found out my sister who's double my age watches the show and ADORES delena also. I didn't even know she watched shows like this, for anyone to say Delena isn't falling in love now is just blinded by ship. I don't ship but I do see where the show is taking us, Elena will fall in love with Damon. Its true that its already begun but will be slow moving. Stelena is young love, Delena is the kind that moves mountains. They both love her but one can't live without her, one already is.
I've been debating with myself whether I was team Delena or Stelena. I enjoy both couples for different reasons.
But that article... holy crap. You should become a lawer.
I'm officialy on team Delena now (even though I might like more their friendship relationship than a love relationship).
