Glee to Return with a Proposal, a Proposition and Sam Shirtless

by at . Comments

I vehemently disliked this week's Glee Christmas special for one major reason: too many songs, not enough plot. And don't even get me started on the ignoring of past plots, such as Rachel's religion and Santana's family situation. Grrrr...

But the show appears to have some major storylines brewing, at least according to its promo for next month's return episode. It will be titled "Yes/No" and it will feature the following developments:

  • Will proposes to Emma.
  • Becky propositions Artie.
  • Finn considers enlisting in the Army.
  • Sam joins the synchronized swimming team.

I think Sam doing synchronized swimming will be hysterical. I hope so after watching that xmas show I don't know for sure. Artie and Becky sat on a tree. Like a nursery rhyme. I think this could be funny as heck. Another hope so. Yea, I read somewhere Rachel sings to Finn a very emotional song-tying to Finn's decision about the Army. Wow, this will be the drama. Finchel was the only part of the xmas show that was any kind of funny. They were the only part of it worth watching but I saw it on DVR to see the end- the star present. I thought that was sweet. Well, can't wait for Jan 17. Enjoy your holidays.

I agree with you Matt about the Xmas episode. It was absolutely awful. I did something that I have never done before and that was turn the channel on my most favorite show. I had enough after enduring that crap for 30 mins. The xmas special I watched for about 10 mins and thought WTF is this? Moving on away from that bad memory. Looks like there will be good story lines. Will and Emma I have missed terribly-so glad they are finally being on screen. IMO they are a very intrinsic to the show. Finn why is he in a jewerly store for one and Oh, No, not the army. But this will be the start of Finn's big story arc for the rest of the season. What the heck do I want to do? And am I good enough to follow Rachel? What will Rachel and Kurt decide on if NYADA doesn't work out? Thanks for the news. Your very good at reviews.

I think the Santana family situation may have been put on hold because the only family member who was upset was grandmom whereas Santana had said her parents still loved her just same. While I know she love her grandmother loads, I don't think that it key important to discuss it and quite frankly I do not care for her grandmother's accepting her or not because as long as her parents supports her I think Santana will be able to weather the storm well.

one of the bridesmaids from the scene wore a Princess Beatrice's hat from the William Kate wedding!

Will is going to propose to Emma? Am I the only one who forgot they were even dating. I don't recall Will/Emma having ten minutes of screen time, alone or together. Except for the episode where Will met Emma's parents. I actaully kind of miss them.

does anyone have any spoilers on what will happen to Rory?

i think that what they did for the holidays was very cute and classic. you don't need plot twists and drama ALL THE TIME, one episode dedicated solely to the message of the holidays isn't so bad.

I agree with you that they should have paid more attention to the part where Rachel is Jewish but if you listen you can hear her say Happy Hanukkah to the people walking by in the final scene.

Glee Quotes

You know, a great big fat person once stood on this stage and told a group of a dozen or so nerds in hideous disco outfits that glee, by its very definition, is about opening yourself up to joy. Now it's no secret that for a long time I thought that was a load of hooey. As far as I could see the glee club was nothing but a place where a bunch of cowardly losers go to sing their troubles away and delude themselves into thinking that they live in a world that cares one iota about their hopes and dreams, totally divorced from the harsh reality that in the real world there's not much more to hope for than disappointment, heartbreak, and failure. And you know what. I was exactly right. Thats exactly what glee club is. But I was wrong about the cowardly part. What I finally realized, now that I'm well into my late thirties, it takes a lot of bravery to look around you and see the world not as it is but as it should be. A world where the quarterback becomes best friends with the gay kid, and the girl with the big nose ends up on Broadway. Finding the courage to open up your heart and sing about it. That's what glee club is. And for the longest time I thought that was silly, and now I think it's just about the bravest thing that anyone could do.

[to Finn] You know, I don't really know what's going to happen between us, but I know that you used to be the guy that would make me feel like the most special girl in the whole world, and it doesn't feel that way anymore. Now it just feels sad and confusing. And the worst part is that it doesn't even feel that bad anymore.
