I'm really excepting of all your opinions. However, I'm really glad none of you are writing this show. Leave the brainstorming to the professionals. And as for the Bible hugger.... I'm a Christian so I appreciate your values, but maybe someone as sensitive to certain subject matters as you shouldn't be watching this particular tv show. Note the tv ratings that the FCC provides and choose your content accordingly.

I don't like that brother-sister romance. That idea will vanish Dexter's natural instinct and annoy almost the whole 12-13 episodes. Like in the season 5, Dexter was too busy taking care of Lumen, Astor, etc so I hadn't really see Dexter the way he really is when the season (suddenly) ended. Maybe what I want is more episodes in season 7, so we will be able to watch a detailed season. Dexter is a neat person, so we need a neat scenario.

I disagree with ER totally. Society will never accept incest. And who gives a damn what 2 actors think. Homosexuallity should be illegal in all states. Read your bibles people. Incest and homosexuallity are both sins.

I cannot believe the writers dont see the big problem with Deb and Dexter getting together. It is completly ignorant to ignore the fact that they are BROTHER AND SISTER!! They were broght up as brother and sister it makes absolutely no diference if they are not blood related. Ask any one adopted with siblings.

Not a fan of Debra at all, hoping Dexter tells her to get lost. Maybe he can "take care" of her in typical Dexter fashion.

I am against Deb and Dexter having a relationship. Not because of the incest potential (I mean seriously they are not blood related) but because I think Deb is absolutely annoying. However, I think this would be a wonderful storyline if Dexter didn't return her feelings. Dexter killed Brian because he needed to protect Deb. I think it would be awesome and ironic if Deb became absolutely obsessed with Dexter and went crazy after learning his secret AND being rejected by him, forcing Dexter to "deal" with the problem. If they are going to go this route for an end game they need to make Deb go completely psychotic stalker obsessed crazy for Dexter. We already know that potential is there. After all she's been through, there is no way she is going to be able to keep her sanity. She needs to make a complete 180 and become the "big bad" of season 7.

1st of all, it's not incest for Deb and Dex. 2nd, I think if people have become broad minded enough to accept homosexuality, it's only a matter of time before real incest becomes as acceptable in society, wrong as that may be. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt say they'll marry only if ANY 2 people in the US can marry....the western world and their interpretation of freedom can encompass anything given enough time.

I didnt like the whole Deb story line and the therapist putting that into her head. I love that Dex has been her safe place and she can count on him. Don't like the twist at all. As far as her seeing the riutal killing.. I think he is going to ocnfess that he had Harrison and was using him as the lamb sacrifice and that's what made him do it. I think he may admit to just this one.. Who knows..DOn't mess up the brother sis relationship....let her be with Quinn again..He wasnt that bad

I think it should be fine for both. Deb can take care of Harrison like no other. If they do get togethr either one of them would have to die. Doubt if they'll ever get married on the show. But doubt it if Dex can feel the same for Deb. Its one hell of a season ender season 6. Dying to catch season 7

It's ok if they get together. That might be the only way he can keep her quiet...she does have a big foul mouth. LUV HER! Another thing is Michael C. Hall is getting tired of playing Dexter. They can't continue w/o him. He was/is perfect! I kind of hope he changes his mind tho I know Dexter can't go on forever.

I agree with Jereth, Dexter could not love Deb back. BUT in one episode Dex does say if he could have feelings he would have them for Deb. That would be weird. The people who play Dex & Deb get together on screen after divorcing? Huh?

I think Deb and Dex having a sexual relationship is a great idea. I don't see what's so gross about it at all. They're NOT RELATED BY BLOOD. I mean, what is grosser; Dexter cutting up human bodies into pieces and dumping them in the ocean or Dex and Deb getting together???? Seriously people, stop being so self-righteous and feigning shock. Instead revisit the lessons ur parents taught you when you were kids.
Killing people = BAD.

I am adopted and have known my whole life. In no way shape or form would I have a relationship with my sister. Even though we are not blood related. That is disgusting! So no! No way Dexter and Deb are going to have a relationship!

I beleive that Dexter and Deb should have a relationship because how is she going to keep the secret. Keep it in the family.

I am sure that Dexter loves Deb but he is terrified that she might know the truth about him. He is a psycopath and hiding this fact is his top priority he does not even dare talk to her about important things. But now that Deb found out his secret and may even accept him and they can talk freely now about anything and their future cooperation will require a strong commitment to each other.

January 19th, 2012 1:34 AM
I don't see anything wrong with the Deb/ Dexter relationship. They aren't blood relatives and if you look at Debs past relationships they all are leading up to him anyway- her love does make sense. She either dates men that are like Dexter (Lundy, Brian) or men that are opposite of him (Quin and Anton) and she seems to purposefully sabotage those relationships.
I also think its amusing that so many people find this "incestuous" plot line immoral, considering the basis of the show is about a serial killer.

Hey! sometimes brothers and sisters get in love, it happens, we don't see it, but happens anyway. This is a show that want to question morality, we are cool with the fact that Dexter is a Killer, but not cool with the fact that siblings can be romantically in love...
How the writers arranged these events.. well a bit rushed IMHO, but that happens a lot on tv shows I think...

I strongly believe that the writers don't really believe in the brother-sister relationship enough, because if they did, they wouldn't have done a storyline in which Debra is in "love" with her brother. It's implying being in true love is a reason to accept what he's doing. Not because he's your brother and he's the most valuable thing in the world to you, because he's simply family and always there for you in a way that he's meant to be.
