Seriously. I'm not talking about royals in the 1500s. I'm not talking about the Tudors. They are crazy NOW. (Or am I the only royal watcher here?)
Blair's big mistake was to underestimate the Grimaldis, and to think Louis was this total sap who was head over heels for her and would forgive every single thing that she did. She just had to have her princess fantasy...
Well, she's got it now!

@Define Like -- my prediction is that both Dan and Chuck will try to save her from the princess trap in their own ways. (Dan goes first, starting the last few minutes of this ep. There will be Dair, shipmates.)
Now, Dan is a darling, and I'm probably one of the Chair fans who likes him more than most on our ship (always have, always will), but if Louis is intending to truly make Blair pay, sh*t just went WAY above Brooklyn's pay grade. Are you guys TRULY familiar with European royal families? They make America's 1% seem normal and well-adjusted.
Princess Blair Grimaldi better be glad that she's the object of a billionaire's affections, and that Beatrice likes her. If she tries to play hardball with the Grimaldis now that she's a princess, after everything she's pulled? They can easily make her disappear. (Boy, oh boy, this has just gotten SO much more interesting!)

many people are saying that blair only called dan because he was close and that chuck was far away.....well im sorry but my reply to that is....what about serena? there is a reason blair didnt turn to serena....i mean they both had all those sweet moments together and serena even offered to ditch the wedding and run away with blair!!!! so for blair to call dan in the end when it was crunch time tells us something i think.
i think the writers have begun to close the lid on chair...to me all chair interactions especially from blair seem to moving on from their relationship. I mean how boring would it be if we got another ....'chair back on after running around in circles then off again' episode.
also i really hope bate has some sort of storyline soon. i was looking back at the episode titles and out of the four main characters nate is the only one to not have his name in a title. blair, serena and dan have their names used loads of times!!!

And seriously, people. The Grimaldis are some ice COLD royal mfers. They could match the Basses for evil any day of the week. Folks, this is going to be more fun than the Chair vs. Dair wars. So much more fun!
The best things to happen to this ep were Louis growing a personality and a motive... and Georgina blowing everything up. Now, the Queen B of Constance is TRAPPED. (You guys think a royal divorce is simple? In a CATHOLIC nation like Monaco? Really?)
What's more, Jack Bass will be back very soon. YES!
I am in GG heaven. I actually like the drama and intrigues. I'm sorry that my shipmates and the Dair fans didn't get their fluffy dreams come true tonight, but this is a soap. A soap that just got more interesting.

Even though Blair kind of deserved what was coming to her in this episode, I still want Chuck to swoop in as her Dark night to save her from the nightmare that is Prince Louis. Even thought she called Dan, I still think that this episode proved that Chuck is Blair's #1 - always has been and always will be.
Oh yeah and Serena/Blair interaction and Serena's attempt to run away with Blair... we need more friendship scenes like this. Their friendship has been the heart of this show (or at least should have been like it once was) and they need to come back to this. None of this bullshit of Dan being Blair's BF.
Again, great episode. Almost helped me to forget the spoilers I heard of DB kissing in 5x18.

Serena and Dan... I love it! They were the main protagonists of the show to begin with and it makes sense to bring them back together. I remember looking forward to their scenes together during the first season and really rooting for them to "make it". This was even before 1x07 when Chair became my number one fave.
I look forward to how the writers are going to play this out now that the two of them have been through what they have and can look back with 20/20 on their failed past relationship.
I also just have to say, LOVE LOVE LOVE that Eleanor Waldorf is a MAJOR CHAIR shipper and brought the two together tonight.

I felt for Chuck's character this episode. However, part of me feels like he deserves to be going through this bullshit to get Blair back BECAUSE of all the shit he has put her through in the past. I agree that she was no saint either but selling her for a hotel wins over anything she has ever done to him IMO. I think his fighting for her will all be worth it in the end. (I am at least hoping!) I think it is telling when not only is over half the GG fanbase pro-CHAIR but most of the characters in the show are pro-CHAIR as well - by most I mean all but Dan and Louis. I know the writers can do whatever they want but I honestly think they are too smart (esp. judging from tonight's great episode!!) to just throw away the insane amount of chemistry between their two best actors.

I thought this episode was awesome, despite the fact that the standards to compare it to thus far this season have not been stellar.
Chuck and Blair are never over. Leighton and Ed's acting never cease to amaze me. I honestly think that they have the best chemistry of any two actors I have ever watched on TV. You would think that all that onscreen chemistry would somehow explode to offscreen. They need to win some sort of "best chemistry" award.

This was the BEST ep of the season! I take back every word of protest and doubt. I regret abusing the writers. Truly, for the first time in a long time, I felt as if I was watching "the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite." GG at its soapy best -- kudos to Stephanie Savage and Josh Safran for keeping me at the edge of my seat! I'll definitely be back for 101.
Looking forward to the roundtable and this week's recaps!

The thing is it has nothing to do with her actions vs. her words...she has made it clear she is sticking to her "pact" if she had called Chuck in her time of need she would have feared another accident or something. Dan is the back up....for what..we will soon see but not the chosen one.

I suppose this debate is going to about whether "Actions speak louder than words" or "Words are louder than Actions?"
Is it true that no matter what happens Chuck and Blair will reunite as well as Dan and Blair? Or is it that the "Sliding Doors" effect will open another avenue? Personally, I have no idea but you have to respect the actions that the fictitious characters have taken. Just desserts to all that end in misery.

I increasing feel like watching this show is a waste of my time. They have such great actors playing characters in their 20s. Could you write something compelling and at least somewhat realistic instead of offering a night time soap opera. At least on the original 90210 there was an actual progression in regards to the lives of the characters. This show is spinning its wheels. It's the OC all over again. Great actors, great setup, after the first couple of seasons it goes nowhere.

Blouis,Dair and this God pact are just obstacles on the road to TRUE love. As the writers said Chuck and Blair will NEVER be over and after all they've been through ,they deserve to be together and in the end I know they will be.

Chuck and Blair better get together ASAP. I mean, could they love each other more?? I'm glad they had screen time and that it's obvious that she loves him and he loves her. It's just stupid that she wouldn't run away with him. I think blair has turned into a bit of a lunatic. She used to be the best character, but now she is just not in touch with reality at all (and neither is this show. it used to be somewhat realistic!!) As for the Georgina=Gossip Girl thing, I didn't even care that much. I didn't gasp, if that's what the writers thought would happen...I just want Chuck and Blair to be together!! Poor Chuck. Blair needs snap out of it.
I have to say as crazy and I don't know how but I loved this episode It was fresh and the real Charley not wanting Nate was just fantastic but as for this story of Nate I was like he knows all about her but he doesn't know her name Charley Rhodes and he knows she is from Florida but not know she is Serena's cousin!!! and then I remember OK I get it, Its Nate he is Dumbo again LOL
