I enjoyed the episode. It was well paced and intriguing. Although EJ redeemed herself a bit,she still managed to show how self-serving she was by running off and leaving Tony in the alley without even bothering to take a few seconds to check if he was still alive. I agree that see was an unnecessary character overall.
Loved the end scene. It was the first time they were honest with each other. I hope Ziva says no but she has been written so inconsistently lately that she may say otherwise.
    Thanks for a great review.

PCN nice review my god michael put a sock in it get use to it most fans love ziva and those who dont thats ok but they dont keep spreading vomit all over the sites.

Ziva need to learn that the jobs comes first always I darn she give up on Ray when it was HER who told tony "Order are Orders' but you know Ziva she a self center bully

Your one (or two!) word descroptions say it all. What a wonderful episode! Stratton is a great villain, EJ, while I'm glad she's gone, served an almighty purpose it seems and Gibbs was yet again proving himself the fearless leader. And, of course, the wonderful, genuine moment at the end between Tony and Ziva, the first of many more to come I hope.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts - always enjoy the roundtables, it's great to read different takes on the episode :)

I think Stratton/Cole will be back. That was too good a set up to waste.
Loved the TIVA moment at the end, and really the little bits all through the episode. "We don't want you to get hurt. Again."
Got to liking EJ better. It's like she had some growing up to do too.
Always love Gibbs and Abby together, and Tim and Abby together too. Those are great relationships. Missed Jimmy and Vance though.

As a mother and grandmother, if Ziva says yes to Ray, who is terribly husband material if I ever saw it, I will have an almost uncontrollable urge to grab her shoulders, shake her and say "Wake UP GIRL!"

I know how you feel AJA I remember when Gibbs would let Tony and Kate do all the dirty work

  7. AJA

If Ziva accepts Ray's proposal it's just setting up another Ziva drama for when he dies or betrays her. I don't want Tiva, but I sure don't want more Ziva soap opera. Has anyone else noticed how Gibbs and Ziva are the only ones who ever get the danger and action scenes this season? Tony never does. I was pleasantly surprised that McGee actually got to be in on the action scene in Housekeeping. I wonder if the writers just want Gibbs and Ziva to be considered the shows undisputed hero types now. I miss Tony getting to be the hero. It's become kind of predictable and disappointing that Ziva and Gibbs always handle the showdown with their super moves and are the only ones who are written in the action scenes.

  8. Michael

So I wonder if the Phantom Eight will be a part of Jimmy wedding

I think that this was a very well written episode action, drama, and Romance all balled up into one episode I loved that we didn't really know if Tony and EJ were blown up it was very intense. I also loved the Tiva scene at the end. I loved you could see the suddel disappointment when he heard CIRay was coming back. My Tiva fan side says DONT SAY YES ZIVA and my writer side says this could be fun to play with even maybe turn CIRay into a spy or have him confronted by Tony I mean he wouldn't be happy about this or he would pretend he was happy so much you can do with a love triangle that adds so much more drama

    1. Epically Awesome!
2.the entire episode rocked. The peek into serious, open, and vulnerable Tiva was nice.Whether you want them together or not the chemistry and deep friendship displayed was delightful.
    3. No. EJ always seemed irrelevant.
4.I dont know.I can see the return of Stratton.
5.Who doesnt love GAbby time? Gotta go with where was vance?
6.Yes and no.She'll say yes but will never make it close to the altar.

Okay Round Table, I think the Phantom 8 story line might well continue, I still do not trust the new SECNAV, although it was cool that Gibbs 'made' him do something. Like some others, what happened to the dog and Vance EJ, meh, she came - she went. Intense Tony/Ziva moment was okay, but I hope they remain flirty coworkers, team members, friends, back-ups and whatever else passes for close and family on NCIS and never lovers. I loved the Gibbs/Abby moment, they are wonderful every time. The crux of the matter, Gibbs murdered the Mexican drug dealer to avenge his wife and child, he went ROGUE 100%, that this news was known by Stratton was not a surprise, the Phantom Eight probably know how many fillings Gibbs has too. We love and admire Gibbs, but he is a cowboy and often participates and approves of rogue actions, you know, like the time he allowed the Muslim to kill the man who killed his son and let him go without a word? So let's not pretend that our hero Gibbs is snow white.

I Liked and this is the best this season and one of the best Tony ones we seen in a long time. I think it was EJ last episode. I want to know where Vance was, I want to know what happened to the dog. and I think Ziva will get caught up in the moment and accept Rays proposal but she will see that she not in love with Ray and realize shes in love with someone else.

I don't think NCIS has jump the shark it still is one of the best show on tv.

May I suggest you get a life? It's a t.v. show = everyone who watches sees each scene/episode character differently. You do not hold the definite on any aspect.

And if you haven't enjoyed the show since Ziva's arrival, why on earth are you still watching? Please don't say you're hoping it will improve - after nearly 7 seasons that's just dim.

Thought it was a good episode - funny, entertaining and am hoping Stratton's not done. The end scene with Tony & Ziva was wonderfully written & wonderfully played.

Frankly, to me this show sucked the big one. I kept waiting for something to happen and all I saw was Tony sparing with EJ (gag me). I hope this show was the last time we have to see or hear from her.

I didn't understand the killing an innocent man comment. I think that thread will be picked up. I have heard and read about promises to get more story lines of the characters' personal lives. Just think, next week ( or maybe the next, whenever 200 airs) Mike Franks and Gibbs' wife and daughter. Don't you think Mexico will pop up some how?

I am still hoping for a return of Jean - she and Tony were great together. He might be able to help her deal with the lies her father told her growing up. Ziva is too Type A for Tony.

  17. Mikaylah

This was a great episode. I agree that E.J. really redeemed herself in many ways, and although I wasn't always a fan of the character, I wouldn't mind seeing her in the future. On a temporary basis, of course.

The moment at the end with Tony and Ziva was amazing. So much chemistry. You could tell even Ziva regretted that her phone rang. I can maybe see Ziva accepting Ray's proposal, but definitely not getting married to him. I know that TPTB will probably not put Ziva and Tony together until the end, which is sad because it makes me wish that the show would end. I'm not asking for much, just progress. The end scene was a step in the right direction.

As far as Gibb's killing the man who killed his wife and daughter, I'd say anyone would let him off. And I too hope that the Mexico story line is over.

Doesn't it always seem that whenever a female lead character in a series gets a boyfriend from outside the team, the boyfriend turns out to be a bad guy (or he sometimes gets killed helping the team or sacrificing himself for the team)? It would be nice if Ray had a more original fate. I'd think NCIS can come up with a new twist if any show can ...

  19. Michael

Not according to Season 7 Finale also something eles I would like to point out

Tony and Ziva faded away shortly after she excluded him from a team party and was completely gone after her Mossad spy boyfriend, who had been ordered repeatedly to leave the country, was killed in self-defense by Tony. Then there was Ziva knocking her so-called partner/future lover onto the ground while they were in Israel and digging her pistol in his injured shoulder. Let's also not forget her demand to Gibbs to get rid of Tony if he wanted Ziva back. Yep, they're meant to be together. If you like abusive relationships

  20. R

For no good reason? Really? For Gibbs he had a VERY good reason. That was a dumb comment.

  21. janet

one of the best episodes this season it had a bit of everything we need more episodes like this.by the way gibbs didnt kill an innocent man in mexico anyone would of done the same but i hope the mexican story is over.maybe ziva will get caught up in the moment and accept rays proposal but something will happen along the way and the ray story will be over.

  22. Michael

Let see Jumping the Shark comes to mind making EJ weak and a 16 year old girl comes to mind REALLY the only good thing about Housekeeping what finding out that someone eles Know that Gibbs Kill a man for no good reason
