Some interesting theory's about the Mystery Man. The writer of the book could definitely have him recurring and looking for new ways to add to the story. But if he wrote the story he has to know more then we think. As far as I'm concerned Eion Bailey could just stand there and add to the show. One of the few actors who can say so little and mean so much by his facial expressions and eyes!!

Looks like I'm in good company. I was thinking last nite he could be the author of the 'storybook'! Love that we finally got to see RED in her 'riding hood'.
We have been addicted to the show since the first minute of the first show! Totally love it, but it seems to go by so quickly....guess that's a good sign, tho! Hope to see it continue for many seasons to come ♥

How about Henry from the future who writes the book and goes back to place it in Henry's hands. Too far-fetched?

I am not sure who the mystery man is but maybe he is a Grimm but I like the idea of him being Rumple's son since my husband and I were wondering where he was. Yes my husband and I are addicted to "Once Upon A Time", I suppose because we grew up with these fairy tales not like the new generation, like our grandson's! Love the show and Regina is someone we all love to hate!

I agree with guest star that the mystery man could be the person who wrote Henry's book. We don't know much about that book other than Snow/Mary Margaret gave it to Henry, but how did she get it in the first place? Did the book exist in Fairytale world?
Overall it was a great filler episode. I was disappointed that there was so little conversation with the mystery man. Are they going to stretch that out all the rest of the season now? I was also hoping that Catherine was pregnant by someone else (that she hooked up with while Dave was in the coma), and that would be the end of them but I guess it's not going to end that quickly. I don't think the kiss seen round Storybrooke will be the end of them so soon.
Can't wait till next week, this is probably the magic mirror episode we've heard talk about.

That was a really good episode and I loved how it focused on Snow White/Prince Charming (James) and Mary Margaret/David! It was about time these two got the spotlight again and the stories in both worlds were great. :)
As for that mystery man, obviously there's more to him than an inspired writer lugging around a typewriter. I'm actually really intrigued by @SecretClone's theory! That would be cool. Imagine the writer of Henry's storybook and his ability to write the rest of their stories. It's cool but it might be a little early for something like that. Let's see!

Has anyone thought maybe he could be the writer of the storybrook book? I got the feeling that that's why the characters have Such a familiar sense to him. And that may be why he can go into storybrook to begin with

I think its quite obvious...he is Henry's dad. Emma just doesn't remember him cuz well...we'll find out...
This episode was awesome!!! And it caused me so many mixed feelings...
I was really surpised to see The Stranger opening the mystery box so soon and without hesitation...I agree that since he's a writer he is probably the one who wrote Henry's Book, but him being a ''Grimm'' doesn't nescessarily exclude the possibility of him being Rumple's son also.Afterall, i expect Rumple's son to be a key character.
Snow's story was soooo heartbreaking. Why wouldn't she listen to Grumpy!??! When i saw her lying in bed so peacefull i was like ''Yeah...We're scr**wed.''
But the final kissing scene was incredible! Why did they have to show Regina! That totally ruined the mood! They could've shown her in the next episode!

I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooo obsessed with this show already!
Snow is absolutely my favourite too and also love that James just calls her Snow.....
Also I think the stranger might be one of the Grimm brothers since he declared himself a writer after showing off his typewriter.....and also agree he might be the storyteller who created this story.....
This was a sad episode but it had a happy ending... just the episode. I was expecting a backlash or something on the kiss. And OMG she looked Amazingly beautiful at the bedroom scene when grumpy tells her the wedding is off...
I think that the mystery man is the one who wrote the book, Henry's book about the curse and Storybrook

I had a thought about Mystery Dude last week that tonight seemed to strengthen a bit... since he seemingly came from outside of Storybrooke, maybe he's not a fairytale character at all, but rather, somehow, the writer/creator of Henry's book. He did mention how Storybrooke inspires him... and if he does turn out to be the writer, It'll be very cool to see how a "storyteller" force fits into this world!... Well then, looks like I'm addicted.
