The only really good parts were Elijah returning and Tyler fighting for freedom. I truly hope this is it for Stefan and Elena and in truth hope Damon wakes up and becomes a man again instead of some old man drooling over a teenager! This love triangle is as boring as the the Twilight triangle, follow the book and kill off Elena it opens up the opportunity for so many more storylines. Get rid of Torey, this girl can't act, she truly gives me the creeps-kill her off fast! The only good thing about VD are the scenes where they all come together to fight a bigger enemy.

@Lauren I do agree with you that she felt like she couldn't move forward with her relationship with Damon until she was able to begin to let Stefan go. I guess I'm just a fan of Stefan so I didn't like the way it went down. I always hope that during their scenes together that they'll find their way back to each other and that's why I hated that she hurt him like that.

I am slightly baffled by something. I see that some people are actually wondering what kiss Elena referred to when she told Stefan. I don't understand how she could possibly mean the one on Damon's death bed. She has been tormented by the porch kiss since it happened. Not sleeping, not being able to be around Damon... feeling guilty. Obviously that was the kiss that she had to tell Stefan about. The other kiss was a goodbye kiss. It was because Damon was someone she cared about deeply and he loved her. She would not have any guilt about that one and not have to tell Stefan in some moment of honesty. She would, however, have to tell Stefan about the one on the porch because she felt something and it was a real kiss between two people who both wanted it.

I think that Elena is not so much sticking a knife in Stefan, but that she is being brutally honest. I think that she can't go forward with her feelings for Damon until she releases herself from Stefan. When she had him there in that moment, she told him that they kissed because she needs to prepare him for what might come next. I am sure that when she stood on the porch with Damon and said that she couldn't, she really felt that at the time, but then when she was alone with Stefan, she realized that she had to be honest with him that something is happening between her and Damon. I still don't think that it matters that she said she kissed Damon. It is the wording of it all and honestly, she did kiss him. Just because he started the kiss does not mean that she did not kiss him. I don't think she is being brutal to Stefan by telling him that. She is telling him the truth to prepare him. To spare his feelings if he has any left for her at all, which she knows he does.

This episode made me realized how much of a Stelena fan I am. I never really cared for these "wars" but this episode made it clear that Stefan and Elena are soulmates.
I think that Meredith will steal Rick's ring and try to use it, but the ring won't work and she will die

I just want to make it clear that I never wanted Elena to deceive Stefan by making it seem like Damon was to blame for the kiss. I wanted Stefan to know the truth. I said right from the start that I give Elena props for owning up to her changing feelings but SHE was the one that sort of deceived Stefan by making it seem like she initiated the kiss. She had just finished saying how she wanted Stefan to know what happened & then when she FINALLY had his full attention... she told him a half truth. I know that a couple of you were saying that she didn't want to place the blame on Damon because she really DID want to kiss him. But if you're telling the WHOLE TRUTH, she owed it to Stefan to say. "Damon kissed me & I kissed him back" or "Damon kissed me & I didn't stop it" To stick the knife into Stefan by making it seem like she was the one who pulled Damon into a kiss was wrong. And I hated that he never found out how it really went down. That's all that I was saying.

Elijah is back !!!
Easily making this the best episode of the season.
Scrupulous Kiss : The Good - The kiss that was hidden was finally given it's rightful place. Front and center should have been the name of the episode. Damon's quip about the kiss was perfection. As was Elena, kicking a guy while he's down. Know wonder Damon and Caroline our fan favorites. The writers treat them with such care and accuracy.
The Bad - Bonnie's reaction was ridiculous to say the least. I recall (Not with great accuracy mind you) her almost burning down the house when she learned Elena had dinner with Damon. Also, considering later she informs her mom of her Grams death.

I think that Claus his mother had another child in Europe, where they came from and she looks exacly as Elena and knows a way to kill Claus and all originals forever.

I feel that everything that happened and with stefan leaving and turning bad and such was for a reason. If you noticed he said, theres something different about you. your stronger, tougher. You've changed." she needed to change in order to let go and in order to realize who she was. She is a stronger person now and I think they could still have a relationship it would be different but thats because shes changed, she knows what she wants know and who she wants to be. she is not scared of whats out there any more and she knows what she has to do in order to protect the people she loves.

I think the biggest moment of the show was Stefan and Elena and their moments together and how deeply hurt Stefan was when Elena told him about the kiss. I am so happy he apologized to her about the car and the bridge and Elena forgave him. Hopefully now she can forget about Damon and see that Stefan still loves her so much and has been doing everything to protect her. Stefan is sooo right when he told Elena that she is too good for Damon as that is so true. However, I think Elena is not too good for Stefan, as they belong together. Stefan punching Damon for kissing Elena was so great, as Damon deserves it so much and Stefan should have done much more than just a punch for his brother betraying him after everything Stefan has done for Damon. Overall, Elena and Stefan are awesome and they need to keep this great love going.

The good thing, Elijah is back..But i agree with you Matt..The season has no direction where they want to go, except of playing with hopes of the audience in what direction ever..Let`s start with the obvious, Damon and Elena. I`m not a shipper, but the building of them was awesome and they gave the audience what they want since season 1. And now, puff, everything back to Stefan? Well, i haven`t a problem with these direction but that makes all episode before like, well, nothing..And Stefan and Elena, why tearing them apart, letting him hurt her so deeply, when they make a reset in a minute..Than poor Katherine which only use is to blow in sometimes..Not to use such a great character is really stupid..Next part.. Tyler and Caroline, together for, let me guess, 5minutes and than a move to Klaus/Caroline?..Really?..And Bonnie, is she capable of anything else than to be boring, and spreaking her spells..

But this sounds worser than it is. It`s just that i don`t want to destroy them my fav tv show.My hope for the next episode:
- more brotherly bonding with Stefan and Damon.(They are my facorite
couple) and Klaus and Elijah
- more flashbacks, i`m a totally sucker for the awesome tvd-flashbacks
- more strong and consistent storytelling like in season 1+2
- Stop teasing Damon and Elena, when this will never happen, just to keep the most part of the audience wanting it..these playing with 75% of the fans of the show sucks..
- Damon getting out of these Stefan and Elena stuff. I want somebody who cares about him. He`s great, adorable, funny and sweet. No more building of something that never happens. Maybe let him and Katherine fall in love again, leaving Mystic Falls and let them destroy or conquer the whole world.
- Rebecca taking care of Klaus, and i mean not for good.

I was bored throughout. I didn't care about Tyler and Caroline (would have loved more of Klaus and Caroline picking up from last week). Bonnie deseved screentime but my attention was elsewhere. Ric is a complete idiot.Fell is psycho. I loved Stefan's reaction but for once I didn't care about the Stefan/Damon/Elena triangle. And most likely the coffin holds the key to killing Klaus.In fact I was mostly bored.but all of that changed the minute Damon got that gorgeous smirk on his face, dangled that lovely dagger and I jumped out of my seat because I just knew....ELIJAH!!!!when I seen my favorite Original BAMF grinning away with a bloodied hand and that ridiculous new hairdo I may have actually squealed. Nothing else in this episode mattered because ELIJAH IS BACK!!!

I think that the protected casket includes Klaus' mother. She was a witch before she turned vampire, or just stayed a witch. A Original Witch, maybe that's why the casket was protected.
@lauren:yes u'r right,the way she said it made it seems like she took the blame upon herself since she knew she participated in the kiss but to me it sounds like she was actually talking about the finale kiss coz she said "i kissed damon" not "damon and i kissed" coz that was the time she actually kissed damon by herself and to me i think she felt like she betrayed him and she wants him to know exactly what is going on between her and damon so that he wouldn't heard about it some where else,but what matters now is that she told him about the kiss which ever one she meant.

Forget Stefan & Damon she should go be with Klaus since they cant manage kill his ass, HELLO he's the hybrid, make friends with the toughest kid on the playground that's what I would do...cuz its pretty early in the show to have a villian like this so something worse than Klaus is bound to make an appearance...so I say make more hybrids while Elena is still human...

You both could be right. She could have been talking about the kiss when she thought Damon was dying but I doubt it. Especially because the porch kiss was mentioned earlier in the episode. (When Damon told Bonnie that they kissed) Plus I don't think that Elena would have felt guilty enough to want Stefan to know that she kissed Damon when she thought that he was dying. I mean he WAS dying. And it was more like a goodbye, I know you love me kind of kiss, at that time her heart CLEARLY still belonged to Stefan. But the porch kiss had her rattled enough for Bonnie to ask what was up with the two of them. So I'm 99% sure that the kiss that she was telling Stefan about was the porch kiss. And can I just say that YES Ian Somerhalder is SMOKIN hot but there was more chemistry between Stefan & Elena when she was pulling shards of wood out of his chest than there was when Elena & Damon kissed. I don't see the magic. Stefan & Elena belong together.

@Holly, @Stefelena, I think that Elena did not word it correctly because she knows that she participated in the kiss and felt something. I feel that it would have been more deceitful to blame Damon as though it didn't even happen. She was owning up for her side of that kiss. If she had not felt anything, it would not have something she would have brought up. She wanted him to know because she did feel something. Think about it, if you were a married woman and a man grabbed you and kissed you, you would say that he kissed you because you do not want to take any responsibility for it. What Elena did in this case was tell Stefan in a way that said "I was just as involved".. the technicalities are not important, it is what is she said when you read between the lines. She was confessing that she kissed Damon, not that Damon kissed her or felt something for her. IT was about Elena's feelings and letting Stefan know.
Elena : I just want to kill her. It's that simple.
