    @TinaTrina
    I'm annoyed with the GG writers and the GG storylines at the moment. And I have too much free time obviously;-)
    @ms. m
    I think that GG had and still has a lot of potential to be a great show and I think that the writers are wasting that potential since s3. And I think a lot of people agree with me on that no matter which couple they're rooting for.
    @Dr. Holland
    Sorry, I really didn't want to scare you. I hope that I'm wrong! But like I said since the chenny storyline I'm expecting the worst from the writers.

    @Dr Holland That's because Revenge is a superior show compared to Gossip Girl, Victoria Grayson is what Blair's character should've been instead of this whiny, insecure, pathetic being.

    @Mel. and @dover The writers aren't even trying, in 1 of the interviews, they even whined about fan complaints and how much they enjoy pissing off their fans as if they were a bunch of immature idiots.

    I agree with ms.m about the writing for every character. I really loved Season 4 Dair, they brought out the best in each other and added value to who they were as people just by being with each other. The whole Blair and Louis thing really brought her character down to a low point. I can only hope the writers will bring Blair's personality back to the core of who she is and even better as a person. Like Gossip Girl said evolving is a tricky thing and you can't change w/out changing the world around you. I think she really needs to evaluate where her life is at this point and decide who she is going to become. I love Dair and think Dan will play a major role in this process. However, I am not a Chair hater and if she decides she still loves Chuck after going through this then so be it. I really don't have much confidence in the writers, so I guess we will all see where this goes, but I'm selfishly hoping for DAIR.

    Totally agree with Dover here: "The possibility of Cherena happening next hasn´t even crossed my mind until you came along! Please don´t scare me so much! This couple´s always been sacred to me. They achieved the impossible and overcame their history and hate and became friends. In my head they´re as much siblings as Eric and Serena are. Especially since Lily is often a better mum to Chuck then to Dan or even her biological kids."

    Nothing more to add here, Your Honor! Always loved the Chuck and Eric brotherhood as well... miss Conor Paolo but don't blame him for jumping from the GG ship at all.

    TinaTrina, and you're right here along with us. :) The lady dost protest too much...

    @dover, @dr. holland, @ilovechair reading your comments i have to say i wholeheartedly agree with most of your sentiments. though i jumped ships...from Chair to Dair...i don't like that Serena and Chuck don't have story lines outside of 'reacting' to Blouis or Dair. in S4 when Blair/Dan had a seat at the Chuck/Raina and Serena/Ben show, they both also had the W mag internship storyline. It was relevant, well thought out, and made sense. Serena yo-yo'ing with her career/love life and Chuck waiting for Blair aren't real substantive stories b/c they've been told and retold over and over. There needs to be exciting new stories for EVERY character. Not just a few. Overall that's my biggest complaint about the writing.

    @dover
    You're right,they seem to enjoy torturing us. For the rest of the season I'm hoping for the best, but I'm really expecting the worst!

    @Anonmymous
    Totally agree, it's just my opinion & I feel like the gossip girl writers have completely lost the essence of this show. The characters are dull and have no real purpose anymore.

    In fact their writing has become disgraceful.

    @Ilovechair:At times the writers DO seem pretty determined to frustrate fans, so...

    @dover
    I'm sorry, I didn't want to scare you. But when I read the interview with Schwartz, Savage and Safran, they said that C and S would deal with Dair together. After the chenny storyline I'm expecting the worst from the GG writers. So that's the reason why I came up with this. But I could be wrong and I really hope that I'm wrong!!!

  11. dover

    @TinaTrina: Yeah, I know! It´s just that I just caught up with gg again and have a lot to say about the changes that happened. It´s my current obsession and I´m a little frustrated with it.

    @ Ilovechair: The possibility of Cherana happening next hasn´t even crossed my mind until you came along! Please don´t scare me so much! This couple´s always been sacred to me. They achieved the impossible and overcame their history and hate and became friends. In my head they´re as much siblings as Eric and Serena are. Especially since Lily is often a better mum to Chuck then to Dan or even her biological kids. So no, no, no! When Chuck and Serena hook up, I´ll consider nothing sacred on Gossip Girl anymore! Dan and Blair are pretty much inevitable, even though I still don´t see it. Like you said, they´re great frenemies but I don´t see any romantic spark there. Their banter, although very amusing, reminds me more of siblings or very close friends rather than lovers.

    lol. The same people here writing essays all over the place. LOL

    Dan always did and said what he believed to be the right thing. Now he just runs after Blair like lapdog and never disagrees with her. In the meantime he treats Serena like crap and still judges Chuck at every opportunity he gets. That makes him totally unlikable for me. It doesn´t matter that the guy is nice to you if he doesn´t treat your friends fairly.

    Lily and Rufus were bound to get together at some point but that doesn´t mean that they should be so terribly boring as they are now! And I miss Blair´s parents! And Eric! They should have introduced some characters to hate in the place of Jenny and Vanessa. Maybe that´s why the hate is spilling all over the place

  15. dover

    @Dr. Holland: I agree with so much of this. I find most of the characters so unlikable right now. I love that Chuck is a good guy now. But I wish the writers would show that good guys can also be badass and make him more snarky, arrogant and flamboyant while helping people and doing the right thing. An ambitious business man, not a love-sick puppy!

    Blair´s evolution was about overcoming her insecurities and being a little less pretentious. Another important thing was that she was willing to let go of her make-believe fairytales and that her friends were more important than appearances. But this season she abandoned her friends so she could become a princess. And now is again running from her problems. Serena stopped Blair from fleeing to Paris in season 1 and now Blair again attempts to flee from her problems! I thought she was a bigger person now then in season 1!

    I love Penn. I really do. I know he's shooting a movie that requires that long hair, but good GAWD, cut the hair already.

    I want nothing more than for season 5 to end already because Penn's movie will be well into post, and he can cut that hair!!! I prefer it short, not super short like it was a la season 1, but maybe season 2's closing and season 3?

    @dover I like Dair as frenemies because I think that on an intellectual level they do have a connection. And I enjoyed their banter, that was a nice change in s4. I was against a dair romance from the beginning. Not just because I'm a chair shipper but because it is too ooc for both of them to fall in love with each other. Watching the dair kiss just confirmed my opinion. It really was an awkward kiss and in my mind they are better as friends not lovers. But the writers want to make them happen so they destroyed Blair's and Dan's character in order to do it. The old Dan would have laughed at the pact with God. But this lovesick puppy version of Dan even supports that. I loved that Cherena bonded as friends or stepsiblings when they plotted together against Lily and Thorpe in s4. But a Cherena hook up,please no!!! The writers let chenny happen, most likely dair will happen, so why wouldn't they let cherena happen too? I shudder at the thought!

    I miss Serena's CRAZY bad couture outfits, breathy plans that won't work in a million years, falling for a different guy every other week, and just... her Serena logic. I miss little J trying so badly to out-Queen B Blair, and failing miserably every time, then trying to take the fashion world by storm at age 15. I miss Vanessa being the character you most wanted to punch, but the one who'd actually SAY what needed to be said or DO what needed to be done.

    I miss Rufus and Lily panting after each other when he was married to Allison, then when he was married to Bart. I want more and more Cyrus, because it's just "not enough." I miss Dorota and Vanya -- they were so adorbs. I just really miss the old Gossip Girl!

    Dover, I miss the scandal, the gasps, Gossip Girl's sometimes outrageously hilarious commentary, people MOCKING the guest stars instead of taking them seriously, Eric being the Voice of Reason on the show, and the annoying antics of Little J and trashy V.

    I miss Blair being so fabulously put together and flawless until I wondered if she were real and not just a porcelain doll. I miss Chuck's whale sweater and fearless ability to wear pink and especially the scarf. I miss remembering that Nate is the only guy on this show who actually knows something about sports. I miss Dan wanting so badly to be a real writer, and showing his insecurities about whether or not he had the talent... I used to root for him SO much. (cont'd)

    NO!!!! Blair!!!!!!! Y U NO SMARTER?!
    (i've spent too much time on 9gag.)

    Why is she playing match-maker with Derena?! Haven't we suffered enough?!
    - Serena bed hopping and all around bad decision making or ability to stick to one - check.
    - Chuck losing all his mojo and becoming a sad sap - check.
    - Dair epicness being teased yet never going there - *snuff* check.
    - Queen B long forgotten - check.
    Why in the world must we go through Derena AGAIN?!
    Do you thing the writes are trying to get us to leave the show hating it's guts?

  22. dover

    @Dr. Holland: This whole season has been annoyingly repetitive. “Blair has a problem, so she whines to Dan about it then goes to Chuck to tell him she loves him. Chuck sulks in his apartment. Serena and Nate are unimportant or whine about something. Rinse and repeat.” I expect the rest of the season to be the same, except now with Serena pining after Dan also. Serena´s and Nate´s buisness storylines were the only new thing, but they had to take a backseat to the relationship drama.

  23. dover

    @ Ilovechair: I think everyone´s characters have been destroyed in order to make Dair happen. Blair I don´t have to talk about, but Dan´s also been reduced to her lapdog and Chuck´s just pining after her. Meanwhile everyone else has to take a back step to let their love drama unfold. I blame the writers. Dair was a nice change and certainly interesting (though I just don´t like them romantically together) but they rushed everything. Now the characters are just poor imitations of what they used to be and what we loved about them. And, God, I hope that Chuck and Serena won´t hook up. Though I´d like to see them bond as friends.

  24. Dr. Holland
    Rank: Leading Character

    Dover, I agree. In the more successful seasons, Serena and Chuck drove plotlines. Fans loved them or hated them, but no one was indifferent. Now they're just set dressing, sitting around pining or stalking a neurotic Blair or a passive Dan. It's really ineffective storytelling.

  25. dover

    Well, Dair continues, I can deal with that. What I can´t deal with are Chuck and Serena pining after our runaway lovers. Please give them some separate, happy storylines?? Pretty please? That´s all I want this season, nothing more!
