@michelicous11 I agree about Serena. Guess the writers are finally adding her also to the list of characters showing some growth...it remains to be seen how consistent they will be...

I think the writers should dare to have Chuck and Dan realize they are meant to be together. I mean come on, Dan went right over to go for a walk with Chuck and monkey because he wanted to make sure they were okay. That's more than Blair did for Serena.

It's kinda sad how passionate we get about GG! I can even live with the all-over-the-place writing that the GG writers dish out but it's that one remark from Safran where he said that they may make a character do something one minute and then do the complete opposite next - that really bothers me about GG. When in effect you're saying that your characters can be turned into automatons any minute, it bodes ill for all people invested in seeing this show to the end. Sigh! I guess that's what we get for being such tv fanatics :)

Nate? Forget about him, seriously right now his friends are accessories to him. Dislike him. Blair? Well she's getting out of her confusion little by little and glimpse of her former self and a new (hopefully improved) one is emerging. Just dangerously slowly. Dan? Well the lonely boy is finally tracking down his manhood. About time though he is flirting with manipulation and being an ass honestly. He is just COLD to Serena a bit more than necessary. I mean she is family what's up with leaving CeCe like that?! And the video? Arggh, another character assassination. Ivy? I think I liked her the second most right after Serena. Don't care what anyone says she isn't here for the money and has everyone against her now. Lola? She's playing hard to get with her family too now? Wtv, don't like her too much.
That felt good to share. (2/2)

The royal minder missing the whole time put aside, this episode was good honestly. So much character growth. Serena? Omg, I had lost hope in her character, she's the ONLY one who hadn't done some major soul searching or progress. The Serena portrayed in Inside was nowhere to be seen. She was rightfully pissed and handled things in a mature way when Blair finally came to terms with her feelings. It was so refreshing to see. Chuck? He did fall into his bad habits but overall he did learn that being a good man doesn't apply just to Blair. So that's one huge step for him even though I was pissed he didn't reciprocate Dan's support (I mean he didn't know about the video when he sabotaged him). (1/2)

@ Uncle Jackass - and I thought only I was looking at stuff like that! ;) Well, having been a Chair fan for a brief while I get it and I know they far outnumber the Dair fans :)

@Meep - sure and by unscathed I meant that Dan and Blair have shown some emotional growth and maturity. It by no means signifies that they have somehow become perfect or unsullied beings (as no human can be) - far from it - we are all aware of Blair's shortcomings and Dan's as well - and we still love them. Whether knowingly or unknowingly, that's what the GG writers have ended up doing, in MY opinion.
The point is, Blair and Dan are able to go beyond their high school personas and high school preoccupations, to seek something more adult in nature. I see them growing and maturing together, while someone like Chuck still remains stuck in the pettiness of high schook hijinks.

Chuck all the way. He changed for her. He was willing to let her marry Louis if that was what she wanted, he let her go at the end of season 4 to let her be happy. Even though he loves her he was able to put her happiness above his own. Dan is pathetic and taking advantage of her while she is hurt and vulnerable. He is doing what Chuck was able to give up for her happiness. And Dan is responsible for her current loveless relationship and then swooping in and taking advantage of it. Dan always thinks he is a better man than everyone else but he has done his share of betrayal and especially to Blair now when Chuck is past it and being a better man for her

@anonymous hmm her grandma is dying and they aré supoosed to be 21 Now..what serena did when she was 16 is not right either but Blair is supossed to be different than Serena..you can rationalize her behavior however you wish its still insensitive what she did..there time and place for everything this was not the time or place to give dan a smooch..Blair ruined.
