@ Meep - well, it isn't so difficult to make predictions re. GG. If you've been on this forums for even a little while you would have been cognizant of how many GG predictions have been made, correctly, on these very forums.
So based on the past actions of the writers, I think they're just toying with us all by doing the Dair bit, and very soon, for some convoluted reason (perhaps it's a superstition or perhaps they really don't believe in character growth and development but prefer emotionally stunted heroes and heroines) they will end the show with Chair.
Of course, I love Dair so would never want that to happen. One can only hope...it's like the never failing mantra - hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.

@Uncle Jackass They're terrible friends, they're constantly fighting/arguing with each other and then there's some quick resolution after 2-3 episodes.
@jenny Blair put herself in that position. The relationship with Louis was already a sham when she cheated with Chuck behind his back and humiliated Louis in front of everyone. She chose to be in a loveless marriage so she can be a princess. There was nothing between Blair/Louis, she was lying to herself, so she can leech of his royal title.
Chuck didn't let it go, he's still pining after Blair, and he pulled that stunt with Dan's 'plagiarized' manuscript after he supposedly 'changed' and Blair had to tell him to stop.

& my thoughts exactly ! i was truly hurt when i saw that scene, serenas face was heartbreaking .. idk how much longer of this i can take.. im honestly counting down the days till may/finale.. because anything is better then the shit that is happening now.

Okay so i could ramble on and on how much i hate this episode but it wouldnt change anything, the real point that needs to be stated here whether what "team" you root for.. WE all have to keep in mind that blair is married here.
Yeah for some stupid reason louie is away in monaco were in any other occasion i would be happy with that but not now... blair is vulnerable as ever and i hate to say that but dan is more taking advantage of that then being a friend.. Chuck is no saint either but he WAS atleast trying to respect that.. he offered everything for her happiness and she still turned him down.. Dan is a pretty big part of the reason blair is in the sham she is now.. he thought if he sent that video it would be just collateral damage for c&b but in truth he ruined anything that was ever between blair and louie..Chuck was gonna let it go and look what happend?

This was actually a nice episode. At least this episode with the previous one has some good continuity. I watched it through and through. I'm just going to exhibit glaucoma for the first 13 episodes of this season. After watching this episode I do miss Chuck as a villain sometimes.
P.S Blair betraying Serena in reality is very very common in "Guy World." We even call it "Betray Five."

@sarab The writing for the show is inconsistent, especially with the stupid Louis crap that's been dragging everything down.
@Adriana Yeah, instead, she should just have drunken sex behind her back and leave for boarding school without telling her best friends anything like Serena did back in Season 1.

@Dair forever How do you know that? Maybe nobody will be paired together as couples. Dan will go off as a lonely boy book writer, Serena and Blair will continue living together as well as Chuck and Nate while life passes them all by. The last episode will actually be the death of Gossip Girl and the death to any relevance these kids had. Life for them begins after the curtains close, now how lame was what I just wrote?

What a flippant way to dismiss Chuck’s unredeemable, abominable act! I’m not having any of it. Ed Westwick is all kinds of awesome, agreed but Chuck, who was always a boor, has now become a bore. I used to kinda like him but not any more.
Yes – you know what, adults do change their mind when presented with enough justifiable evidence, unlike immature people who cling on to something once they have made up their mind that only that is right. Much like how people cling onto Chair and will dismiss every evidence of how great Dair are together.
The writers sort of butchered all characters equally through the years – and despite that, the ones to emerge unscathed through the ruins are Blair and Dan. One could never get bored of them - they are truly made for each other.

I love how most of the fans agree that Blair's character is ruined. Many Chair fans like them because of Chuck and I as a Dair fan like Dair because of Dan.

@Robin Blair already spends her own money because she's already rich, she doesn't need money from other people. Dan is already set because Rufus married into a wealthy family.
@bbking Blair's just not worth it.

I had to replay that kiss multiple times before I had my fill of it and am still gonna go back for more…DAIR FTWWWWWW!
Despite my exultation at FINALLY, after FIVE seasons, seeing my favorite pair together, I know that in the topsy turvy GG world, somehow the video or something else will be exaggerated beyond all rational proportions in order to break up Dair and make the show end with the by now completely insipid, uninspiring and cold as a dead fish pairing of Chair

I believe this is not about dair chair or serena and blair or whatever. The point is, week after week (in this season) the writers had come up with storylines that lack of creativity and common sense AND reality!! They also forget about what they wrote a week ago and make their characters act in different directions. SERIOUSLY the show is going down and I'm so sad about that!!!! :(
