@V Goodbye.
@JDM No, Dan is not Chuck. If it was so, she would've already gone back to him instead of stomping all over his love and then saying that she's not in love with him.
Louis/the dowry isn't an obstacle anymore and Blair is still making up excuses.

As much as I love GG. Yeah, I'm a super big an of this show. Srsly, I've supported you for a couple of years. But this is too much, this episode sucks. Last week, I was a Dair shipper already, but when I saw the Promo for the next episode, I just realized. Nothing can beat Chair. They're really are PLATONIC. Uggh. They remind me, of Izzy and George of Grey's Anatomy. They thought they are perfect for each other, because they're best friends but sadly, they do not have Chemistry. So, I guess same goes with Dair. At the end, they'll just let go of one another. I'm just hoping Chuck would never give up on Blair. Ohh please.
Dear writers,
If you don't have anything good to write, try hiring VD writers.No offense but they are way so much better.

@ll
Yeah but even in the books, Chuck and Blair were both those villains you love. So they still had a lot in common which made them make sense as soul-mates, despite their random timing of their hookup. Their brief encounters in the first few episodes had heaps of on-screen chemistry.
But when I look at Dan and Blair over the older seasons, the episodes where they have encounters only made me wish they were better friends, not lovers. Quite like Chuck and Dan actually. I loved the episode in season 2 when Chuck really opened up to Dan and Dan punched someone for Chuck.

@ll Then they're both random, the writers already ran out of ideas a while ago with the whole stupid Royal crap.
Serena/Blair go through men like they go through clothes.

btw, i fail to mentioned doesn't anyone her love any of the lily and chuck scene and the dorota and serena scenes?
lily and chuck really is like a mother and son. lily's always there to comfort and support chuck no matter what he does. and chuck really does love lily like her own mother.
the dorota and serena scene was adorable. serena and dorota are two charcters that live at the same house but didn't have much interaction but watching dorota comfort serena the way she does with blair was just refreshing. if i have a help like dorota i definite wouldn't let her go. she just genuinely cares about them.

@Anonymous What wouldn't be so bad? Anyway, I believe I can happily go back to being a silent member (at least or now) since I have put my message across. Heading to the gym now but looking forward to reading more discussions :) Cheers.

And to Chuck lovers who think Blair is awful for not being in love with him, who wants to be in love with anyone, who will sleep with someone, just to get back at someone else?
JDM
February 28th, 2012 11:32 AM
She just wants a safer version of (what she had with) Chuck, dammit! Oh, and predictably enough, I suppose that once it gets out that Jack saved Chuck's life coupled with awful sex with Dan, she'll be going back to Chuck and they'll live happily ever after.

@Where's Waldorf Dan/Serena were never torn apart by their families, the writers threw a wrench into the whole relationship when they made them step-siblings and Rufus/Lily are still married, which makes them awkward.
It's not nearly as random as the Louis thing where suddenly he's so in love with Blair after she showed her true colors in Paris, she's been shown to be untrustworthy and it was really obvious she was cheating on him if she had to take a paternity test.

@Give me some dair
You're the one who is obviously confused. You see, even Chair was random. You didn't realize that? The writers took Chuck's character from the book and decided to experiment by pairing him up with the most unlikely characters of them all--Blair. When resulted in an explosion of fan reaction, they decided to go with it full-force. There was hardly any buildup for those two allowed before it even happened. Dair IS random in the sense that they've run out of ideas, and this one is the only one that hasn't been done yet. Tell me this, which one is better? Serena jumping from one man to another or Blair doing the same? Get it now?

@kavern It rally doesn't make much of a difference, they're losing more viewers than gaining new ones, they don't even care about the ratings, viewers, or the fans for that matter.

@Give me some dair
Sorry I should be a bit more clear. I mean it's random that out of all the characters and guest stars, Blair Waldorf and Dan Humphrey are hooking up. But timing wise it was not random, it was coming. It wouldn't make sense if they never gave it a shot seeing as they kept the idea floating around for the whole season.
@kavern
Yeah actually I noticed that too. It was like that in Season 2 as well. I don't know I just feel kind of bad for how things turned out. They were romantic in that "lovers torn apart by two opposing worlds" kind of way. The writers said in an article that they were inspired by Romeo and Juliet with Dan and Serena. Whether or not anyone thinks it was done well is up to them, but I'm just pointing out something I read.

@kavern The writers are just making things up trying to cause drama because they don't know what to do. Ivy already played her part and I guess Charlie is Nate's next guest star hookup.
@Lolita Some people are taking things too seriously.
the best Episode CLiffHanger ever!!!
BEST SCENE -->
1.Georgina Sparks Tag Team with Blair Waldorf!! that's hilarious!
2. CECE's WILL for IVY DICKENS!! (we all here love Ivy Dickens, hope she is being a good girl and have a good family with Lily VDW and still being a regular cast in season 6)

Hey guys, by the way... Dair is a funny experiment just let it grow and develop, we all know that Chair is endgame. I really enjoy Dan and Blair together as well as Chair, so I don't have any trouble with that. Some people are too agressive around here. THIS IS JUST A SHOW!!!!

also is it just me or lola seems to think that she's above all upper east siders but remember last season when they mentioned she suffered an unknown mental illness (i guess it was swept under carpet) and when she get to taste the pros of having a very wealthy family and having your trust fund she'll step down of her high horse and become one of them.
as for chivy, the writers did find a way to let her stay but i just don't see anymore use for her, i mean she's done her purpose and if what she wanted was to have a real family she shouldn't have kick rufus and lily out the people who took her in while she was conning them.

@kavern The writers ruined them and made it so awkward and they haven't recovered with Serena pining after him and Dan ignoring her.
@JDM Blair's such an annoying drama queen, leading Chuck on, going through her loveless marriage with Louis to become princess.

@francene The problem is that the writers can't handle on/off relationships, so they constantly have them go through the same crap over and over again, all while ruining their characters.
@kavern I'd say it's the opposite, they're losing viewers, not that it matters, they're down to 1 million viewers so far.

I think Blair's just caught up in the feeling of someone loving her and actually taking care of her, but she'll soon get BORED. I mean, if the promo says anything, it's that there's no passion. Loads of intimacy and commitment but NEGATIVE passion, and how's that supposed to work?! CHAIR ALL THE WAYYY! (at least THAT was a first time worth remembering)
