Leigh and Christina are on point - they've over hyped it and nothing G could do would be as delicious as her entering the UES during season 1 and how she got Dan to turn on Serena. It was delicious.
The OMG moments will probably be little waves instead of surges haha. we'll see. Dan should just tell everyone the truth about Georgina, as for the video, i highly doubt that Dan sent it in after all. i think Georgina sent it in to Chuck to get him to react and scheme with her. They'll probably reveal Eleanor sent the video in from Dans phone (clearly since he doesnt lock his computer he probably doesnt lock his phonelol))
i'm glad this is the last episode for a while. hopefully things are clearer the next half.

I don't get all this hatred towards the characters from all the haters here. I have been a fan of GG from season one and it is my all time fav show along with Prison Break, 24, Castle, Fringe, and Mad Men. All of these shows have their strengths and weaknesses. The strength of GG is that it's main characters are very likable, it has great one liners and such outrageous plots that they are invariably very funny. I think that the show has never lost these three qualities and that's why I have always enjoyed them and as long as the show has them, I will watch it. I believe that its true for most of the fans. I have enjoyed chair and derena and i am enjoying Dair because at the end of the day its not about the ship. Ships are there to serve the show, not the reverse.

Ratings : You forget the international sales. I'm curious. How many nationality are on this forum ? I pretty sure the episode is available on the next day through tv channel online store in most countries. Sometimes tv show has low rates in the US but has huge amount of followers outside US.

And got to agree that the GG storyline at the moment has become very tangled. And some of the parts of the plot are total opposites of practicality. But still, if there's anything that's keeping me stick to the show, it's the DAIR storyline. It's like a breathe of fresh air. Also, the marriage/pre-nup thing with Louise was totally unnecessary.

I love Dan and Blair! I love Chuck and Blair as well and I won't mind which get endgame, they both are different in their own ways. But right now I think it should be Dan and Blair if Chuck and Blair really want a chance to be together. If chuck and Blair get together now it would be too soon and boring, what would happen after? it would be the end of GG. Dair are different and I love it. I felt sorry for ChIvy, it was wrong but come on Serena has done MUCH worse. I don't really know about Lola/Charlie, sometimes she seems good but other times she seems like she is doing something wrong :S. Chuck needs to be with other women right now, I think it would be healthy. The more he keeps chasing for Blair the same thing will happen over again. Georgina is hilarious! but i agree she is not as bad as she used to be but i still like her. I LOVE DAIR AND CHAIR! but Louie has definitly got to go. And right now it's DAIR!
Gossip Girl Round Table was fun and interesting, now you have all the same thing to say, has the same opinion about everything.
Before it was satirical and lightweight to read ....

i personally HATED this growing "thing" betwen Blair and Dan....it's completely unworthy and the writers have done everything they could to just ruin Chair for good..!all this time i have been watching this show and i was completely focused on that epic love these two characters shared....for almost five years...Luis's character didn't give me any threat ever...cause it was obvious that Blair would always want Chuck...now how could they ever bring a potential relationship or love between Dan and Blair up?it's insain!and it messes things up too much....is Blair a "fool girl" ? she sure is!

@ cb: well, you do have a point and a good one at that. Luckily for me, I have never pretended that I'm gonna stop watching the show, but like you I have read several comments from others saying that. The Nielsen ratings were traditionally important because shows and TV networks survive based on advertisement and with ratings so low which company would want to buy advertisement space during GG time slot? However as you say, the show always ranked higher in online viewership and I wasn't aware that this episode ranked that high on iTunes. I personally cannot influence the Nielsen ratings because I'm not in the USA, also I don't use iTunes to watch this show. That being said, it's my opinion that bad criticism doesn't said anything good about this show right now and even many recapers and prestigous sites like CNN and the Huffington Post don't have good things to say of this show lately.

CW makes it's money from itunes and big deals with companies like Netflix. Right now, Cross Rhodes is ranked 1 on the itunes TV shows chart. Who cares about ratings (they've never ever been close to IDOL or dancing with the stars) and some random person's opinion on their tumblr account. The fact that the tumblr author mentioned by @pty wished they had done crosswords instead of watched Cross Roads, yet still had time and the energy to write an 870 word post about how much they hate GG right now, says something. The producers of GG realized long time ago they could play off this chair/dair fan war, and just look at this site and how many people comment now compared to last season. Some of these articles have over 250 comments (maybe they're from 5 people ranting back and forth but regardless people are passionately involved). Wet paint, Vulture, TVline, TVfanatic, GGWriters, the Huffington Post are just a few sites that regularly write about every GG episode.

1. I'm going to choose Lola threatening Ivy with the Police and Felony Identity Theft charges because......YES PLEASE!!! Can we get some reality up in here? And take Carol down too?
2. Dan's the Man of the Moment in the absence of Louis. I don't know that that's winning in general, but it's definately beating Chuck.
3. It was Just Pathetic! I never really thought Good Chuck would stick. And I thought Chuck had trouble getting it up with women who weren't Blair.
4. I'm still thinking she's the real GG so I'm still loving her. Ask me again if she's not.

Blair, as annoying and as pathetic as she has become, still doesn't deserve to be treated like a piece of property/prize to be won, just because she doesn't seem to have much self-respect in herself anymore doesn't mean she deserves this.
@BFLY Well, seeing as how Blair likes that stuff, otherwise shouldn't have done those things in the 1st place.
@ply I hope it does drop below the 1 million mark ASAP, but knowing the CW they'll probably pull pathetic excuses out of its' ass trying to justify renewing this piece of crap.

Why shouldn't Dan and Blair go for what they want? There's no moral quandry here. Serena and Chuck have taken whoever and whatever they wanted while trampling all over Dan and Blair. So now these two get together and shove it in their faces. I say hell yeah.

I don't get all this hatred towards the characters from all the haters here. I have been a fan of GG from season one and it is my all time fav show along with Prison Break, 24, Castle, Fringe, and Mad Men. All of these shows have their strengths and weaknesses.
