new spoilers: Spoiler! Which Gossip Girl Character Will Get Thrown a MAJOR Curveball in “The Princess Dowry?
We know Monday’s all-new episode of Gossip Girl will revolve around the fallout of CeCe’s death, and the maybe-loophole in Blair (Leighton Meester)’s marriage contract… but what might be on deck for our favorite lonely guy – zing! sorry! – on the Upper East Side, Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick)?
A lil’ tweet that went out from the Gossip Girl writers on Tuesday may give some indication. It reads, “We LOVE Chuck. Monday throws him a major curveball.”
Now, given the fact that we know “Hurricane Georgina” is about to hit town, it seems likely that G could be unleashin’ some fury on Master Bass (she does say it’s like she took down the whole UES!). She could easily become privy to some sort of family secret, and tell Chuck, and then he’d have to deal with it…

People wanting Dan to be with Blair because he's "better" and it's a "healthy relationship", go find some bland family show to watch and leave us twisted romantics alone. Normal is boring.
This is Gossip Girl! It's supposed to be scandalous, exciting, glitzy, dangerous, and a bit dysfunctional. Chuck and Blair FOR THE WIN!!

@junior Well, it has been repetitious.

@lila. It's because in common sense alienation means crazy. Assimilation, I don't know. Sometimes a behavior is abandoned. Assimilation = adding. A recent german study shows a relation like Dan and Blair has more chance to last. On other hand, Chuck and Blair repeat the same pattern over and over. In psychological clinic we have a sentence : the repetition of the event makes the symptom.

@ Junior : funny I was about to say projection but I checked on a psy dico and it didn't seem to fit !
Yeah alienation maybe but it sounds so negative (even if not justified!) ...assimilation maybe ? OK lol no psychology anymore !
Ahhh that thin line between friendship and love when it comes to male-female relationships...I feel you!

@Lila alienation : it's when we give up a behavior. It's a little more complex than that. The better example is the one you gave with Blair being more Brooklyn.
Now saying you've the same kind of relation with your man. Its projection. I should stop the psychological analyze. Unfortunately for me, if I do the same. I'm sad. I said the same as Dan to a girl (can't be friends). She said no ... so ...
Fuck this shit

I don't even care about this show anymore. Each week I watch it, I get more and more irritated. Blair deserves no one. Dan is a fucking chump. This is bullshit.

@Lila and Dair for ever. I am definitely a romantic. I found a clip of chair the other day on YouTube episode 3x09. It made me laugh because Blair said to Chuck, If you ever loan out my lingerie again I hope you'll like me in flannel! And now I can just imagine her staying over at dans wearing his flannel tshirts for pjs!
Lila
February 23rd, 2012 5:08 PM
@Junior : definitely...but I's rather call it identification...this is the exact same type of relationship I have with my man (not in Brooklyn though :) )

@Lila ... You are a romantic. What you're talking about is called alienation in psychology.
Step brother-sister ? I don't see how it's disturbing. They do not live under the same roof. It's not like they are doing it in the next room while their parents having sex too.

THE SCRIPT IS GREAT . . . other than the fact that DAIR took way too long to happen and things just aren't scandalous enough and I want Bad Boy Chuck back.
I love Gossip Girl and would have stopped watching if the writing was not good enough to keep me interested. I think it is ridiculous that so many people watch each Monady night and then get on these boards to complain about the writing. The writers should not be concerned with you comments if you are still tuning in to watch. I love the GGWriters, and they have entertained me most Monday nights for years.

@ Dair for ever and K : Im all with you on that ! I wanna see Blair turnin a bit Brooklyn when she's with him ...walking by Dumbo holding hands, sharing moments at the museum Dan holding her shoulder...like the cool bliss relationship every girl dream of !

@Zoran At this point, they shouldn't separate, we don't need more back/forth crap. The writers damaged Serena/Dan severely.
Are you really surprised at the writers? All they've done is wreck relationships and ruin characters.
@ALF I wouldn't be surprised, of course the writers would drag this crap out.

I agree that the script was bad. There is no question of incest, they were relatives of the law and not by blood relation. If Lily and Rufus are not married then it would allow Serena and Dan to be together, then simply let them divorce.

NAH ! Louis will be caught doing nasty things with Esthée. Of course, Blair will be behind that. Then, bye bye marriage.
Blair and Dan enjoy old movies. They will do a remake of old porn movies from the 70's. Blair (she's kinky) dresses as Dorota. I leave the rest to your imagination.

Regarding the relationship between Blair and Dan think that now is the wrong time. They are meant to be together at the end of season 4 because it was right time for it, because in this way Dan will punish Serena because she went for Benn, a Blair will punish Chuck because Rejna. It is stupid to erase nearly 5 years of relationship between Serena and Dan and Blair and Chuck.

Anywho I agree with those posters that think Blair will be *this* close to getting the annulment and then Georgina-possibly with the aid of Ivy and Chuck?- will reveal the Dair kiss. The Grimaldis will then take the deal off the table since they probably don't want Blair to go public with any new relationship. I mean Louis was humiliated just a mere 4(?) episodes ago by Blair's proclamation of undying love for Chuck, I am almost can't blame him. I do anticipate that the dowry will be magically taken care of or outright forgotten within the next few episodes though.
What I don't get is why William is at the brunch? He had to sneak out of NYC after giving Lily fake cancer in season 3 and now he's just back? whaaat? Well if crazy Uncle Jack can come back with sins forgotten then what the hey. Oh this show! lol

@Tha Phoenix They deserve to be unemployed so we can have better writers.
@ALF Josh Safran is terrible.
@Zoran That's called terrible writing, the writers ruined them and making things disappear isn't going to help. It's disgusting because it just feels incestuous, it's like hooking up with a 2nd or 3rd cousin twice removed.
