I was re-watching the wedding episode and the episodes before it and I'm convinced that there is more to Blair's feelings than she's letting on. I'm almost certain that she still has fears about her relationship with Chuck, whereas there are none when it comes to Dan now that she has Serena's blessing. Somebody got hold of the script for episode 19, and they revealed that Blair opens up about a lot of things in that episode. I'm expecting it to explain her weak, uncharacteristic behavior and her rejection of Chuck a little better. I know that this person isn't lying because this spoiler was released way before the episode 17 was aired, and they said that the episode 19 script mentions the fact that it didn't matter to Blair that Dan sent the video to Gossip Girl.

@ sasha, Anonymous: Because Blair has NEVER been confused about her feelings before?
I do think the writers could have done it more smoothly, but this is hardly that out of character

I have nothing personally against Dair, but I think for all their careful building up of this particular pairing, the writers really screwed the pooch by having this epic limo scene with Chair where they're ready to run off together and raise a baby, to suddenly Blair cuts Chuck completely off and falls out of love with Chuck and into Dan. That's bad transitioning, bad story-telling. I like Blair and Dan, but Chuck has every right to be like WTF? I felt bad for him when he was telling Lily that he didn't die in the accident but it felt like he did. That was sad, and Ed Westwick did a good job playing that scene, he was confused and devastated and hurt. Like a lot of Chair fans.

Ok, I'm sorry...but I just watched the last clip of Dan and Blair in "The Princess Dowry" and I felt sick to my stomach...I just can't even believe in this one little bit...their chemistry is not even CLOSE to what her and Chuck have...she's such a fool leaving Chuck behind for this...not to mention hurting her best friend in the process...I am Team Serena and Team Chuck. I hope they each find other perfect people and Dan and Blair can suffer in their mistake. Blair's going to have to work for it if she wants Chuck back.

This Dair business is lame. How many wks has it been since Blair was declaring that she loved chuck "more and more everyday" while in tears? For those of us who actually see some talent in this show Dan and Blair as a couple is a cheap turn that lacks any story or substance behind it. they were also the last 2 characters who hadn't slept together - come on you really can't come up with something more interesting? Ick. Perhaps the writers are finally played. It's sad.

Well, Dan and Blair may seem boring to some (let me guess) Chair fans...I personnally love their witty lines...and no doubt they're creating a buzz , since the start of their relationship each TV fanatic post makes 200 comments or more.

@Anonymous - I am just upset with Blair and Dan. Chair was the reason I watched this show and yes I agree, Gossip Girl is shit now. As for me equating the show to real life I am aware it's a silly thing to do but then again this entire forum is a testament to the fact that TV is a form of vicarious living. It's sometimes hard to not equate TV with real life and Gossip Girl is certainly not a show based on aliens! Also I agree that real life is mostly about multiple relationships but those relationships are developed over time. I just find it hard to believe that after multiple years proclaiming this great love you jump on to another person in less than a week! If they wanted to make Dair believable, the writers should have given it at least a season, two episodes and Chuck doesn't have my heart anymore - ridiculous!

Well, I don't know how long this relationship will last (hopefully not to long), but it's sure that the writers will destroy everything, like they always did and like @Anonymous has already said. It's a shame, because you really can't get used to something, that it is already over! (see all Nate's relationships, for example)
Anyway, I think that after this relationship, the writers shouldn't let Blair and Chuck get back together, not yet at least. In fact, even though I'm a huge Chair fan, I think that they should be friends again, in order to discover all over again their true feelings, the ones of the first two and a half seasons, and not to jump into something obsessive and unhealthy. Because I'm sure that the writers would be able to screw things up and that would really piss me off...
I had never thought that I will ever be so emotionally involved with a fictional couple, let alone a TV couple with this intensity. I am so glad that my friends don't know about this as I will never hear the end of it. All these years I have teased them about their various ships, happy to be emotionally detached and just enjoying the shows, I am happy to be done in by this awesome twosome of Dan and Blair.

@ramYy I wouldn't say they have the advantage considering they only just recently started and have had only a handful of scenes in only the last 3 episodes. They've already lost a lot of fans after the writers ruined their relationship and characters in the previous seasons. Well, they don't really care about fans or the viewers or even the ratings/demos, all of which is suffering, even for a terribly failing network like the CW, it's bad by any standard.
Seems like Dair fans have the advantage... But Dair is definitely not the endgame. It brings some excitement into the series, even Chair fans are getting themselves to like Dair. They might already have lost Chair fans who lost their hope in Chair's future, but they'll lose Dair fans if they bring Chair back. Right now I don't know what to think. I convinced myself Chair is endgame, but that doesn't mean I love GG right now. Dair is... ruining something for me.

@Rel Well, I'm not really a shipper, I just hate the way the show has become Season 3 and onwards, where characters and relationships left and right were destroyed and it's only gotten worse since then.

@Laura The writers made it repetitive and stale, not to mention wrecked them with the whole hotel incident and the broken glass incident.
@Nawty~Angel Then don't watch the show and drop it.
@chucks girl I wouldn't put any stock into any of Blair's empty words.
"I love you, but I'm not in love with you". "I told Chuck that he doesn't have my heart anymore".

I think they just need to add new characters, and get them involved with them- like they've done with Charlie Rhodes. I was liking the whole Chuck and Blair story line and wanted them together. But now the story lines getting a bit old.

@Yesnomaybe No, but Dan and Serena are step-siblings, so that would be much closer to incest. They've ruined the relationships. In real life, people have multiple relationships and if it doesn't work out, then they move on with their lives. The 'love of your life' thing is unrealistic and is more fairy tale-like. Real people don't make repetitive, grand love proclamations. What's ridiculous is you trying to equate Gossip Girl to real life, it's an awful show that used to be fun and interesting before the writers ruined it.
@Endgame So that's where most of the Chair fans are gathering these days.

@Shae True. The sense of security when they are with each other makes me jealous. They are so open to each other and embrace the other's imperfections. The way Dan says at the hospital"No it's not awful, it's you. It couldn't be awful." just tells you how perfect they are for each other. I hope that in time everyone will be able to see that.
