@Zia...Thank you no new cast members. Drugstore candy, I think that's what I'm getting for the next 5 years or so, love that whole scene.

I was hoping for a little more of Catherine, but I am satisfied that she was there and that they showed she is more then just a roll in the hay. Michelle has incredible chemistry with Alex, you can tell he is so relaxed with her, never had that with Lauren. I think someone should have told Catherine that Steve was in the hospital. I liked that Steve got assigned to her ship. I really hope that they show her more often, not put her on the team, but I would like an episode next season where they have to help her out of something. 5-0 owes her big time.
As for another team member.....PLEASE NO, it really does not matter if it is male or female, its too early in the series to do that. There is so much more to explore with the original 4. Recurring and guest stars are fine, but not team members for years to come.

I loved this episode. I'm so happy that we are getting quality episodes. I loved the going back and forth of the story. I agree with Jim G. worked very well in this story. Drinking game for running suspects sounds good, we will have to try that.
Lori is gone and I'm glad. Unfortuneatly the debate will live on for another couple of weeks, but hopefully it will end.
Kono looked amazing, I loved her line, "nothing says love like drugstore candy", yeah we have all been there. There was lots of action, loved Chin kicking some butt. The governor acting like a jerk, I'm wondering how that plays out, although he did come thru for Chin, albeit to not cause an international incident rather then letting Chin off the hook. We shall see if there are any consequences.

Since PL says fan reaction doesn't dictate what happens on the show, I have to ask - why was the Weston character introduced at all? To be fired "dramatically", since the Governor couldn't fire any of the core 4? If so, it was a waste of screen time during 15 long episodes. He wasn't even really mad at them in the end. If Weston's whole existence on the show were erased, would ANYTHING have changed at all? Did she contribute anything, ever, to the story? Everyone hated Jenna, but come on - her story was good, it made for a good episode, and her exit was dramatic. Weston's exit was "that's it?".

@sarah......I did not know Autumn Reeser had a pilot, but that probably won't be for a while. The credits for 2.17 have her in that episode as Danny's girlfriend. So if her pilot sells, then maybe we see the end of her, but right now, they have her on H50.

I forgot to add that the Five 0 team will keep breaking the rules, they seem to bring that up every few episodes then they do some sort of punishment and then it is forgotten for a bit etc etc...but that is part of the show they get things done and it wont always be by the book
I love Alex Oloughlin

I dont think that people disliked Lori because they want Kono and Steve together I think they disliked Lori (like I did) because she can not act and the lack of chemistry with her and Steve...she was also just super annoying!
For weeks now I have said that Alex was way to thin, ever since the episode that the got kidnapped and the snot kicked out of him when Jenna Kaye was killed. I still think he is super hot but he really needs to gain some weight
Also it is very interesting that Lauren German was following Scott Caan on Twitter and was talking about him and posting pics, then weeks ago she stopped following him I wonder if there is bad blood since she was kicked off the show

I feel that the last 2 weeks they were trying to push a Steve and Lori relationship on us, with the whole running scene last week and her tripping and hurting herself and Steve carrying her down the stairs and the way she looked at him made me want to puke and then last night her confessing her feelings for him, to me was so unnecessary and awkward you could tell Steve had no interest in her at all and it was just very odd. Then he goes to Catherine's hotel room and says he will do his reserve training on her ship...I like them together! Even though I want him all to myself..LOL
I guess they are still having Gaby in the picture BUT we have not heard anything recently that indicates Danny is dating her AND Autumn Reeser just booked a pilot so she wont be on...SO I say sign me up I will be Danny's new love interest...mainly so I can be on the show with Alex..

This was a good episode, but way too much Lori. Thankfully I can take consolation that she won't be on any more! (I hope!) Love that Catherine is back! Seems the balance has been restored to the show and I am looking forward to the rest of the season. (As opposed to dreading seeing Lori again.) Kono and Catherine both looked amazing in their gowns and Steve looked so happy and relaxed with Catherine. Steve and Danny were back to their bromance, Chin looks like marriage agrees with him, and even quirky Max is back. All is right with Hawaii Five-O again. Good Bye Lori!

So happy Lauren German is gone!
She was brought in for the Kono story line and then when it was resolved I guess they decided to keep her on as a love interest for Steve BUT from day 1 it was obvious there was not chemistry between Alex and Lauren so it could not be forced upon us that Lori and Steve would make a believable couple. Then I guess they wanted to see if it would work with 5 members of Five 0 and I also think that they wanted to see maybe they could have Lori and Danny be a couple and that is where we got the handcuff scene months back. Alas there was no chemistry with Scott Caan and Lauren German either.

Lori needed to go. Every time they add a woman to a show that has a terrific 'bromance' going on, it ruins the show. (Human Target, anyone?)
As much as I liked Grace Park on BSG, it really feels like she could leave this show, and nothing would change--she simply isn't intrinsic to the dynamic between the other characters OR the plotlines. Even the story arc with her being undercover was a snooze-fest.

Very good ep, looking forward to the rest of the season. If I had any complaint it is I thought Loris exit was a little awkward, that being said I think it was the right way. Ep worked just fine without a big name guest star, let the core 4 carry the show and fill in with added characters, they don't need a big name.
Now for my complaint, not about the show but the review, please no male team member for Kono, no, no, no. I have have wanted a relationship for Kono since the start, but I think it should be a Catherine type role.
I am so glad to see Lori gone. If she hadn't been I would have been. Also glad to see Catherine back. I agree that Lori's "confession" about her feelings felt contrived. Enjoyed most of the episode. Looking forward to the rest of the season now.
I wonder if there are going to be repercussions to the handling of this case from the governor as the show rarely seems to follow up on that, except for Joe getting kicked out of the Navy. The team has broken just as many rules this season as last. We know why they got away with it last season (immunity), but there seem to be very few long term follow ups to their actions. Even on shows like Leverage where the show is about people intentionally breaking the law they have consequences to those actions. That rarely seems to happen here.

I was indifferent to Lori. They tried to make her human by showing her tough side but then would ridiculously try to show the softer side throughout the season with her getting clocked in the head, tripping while running up those stairs which of course paved the way for Steve to carry her down. I think I laughed out loud at that precious moment.
But in any event, I think with her gone, the comments board and the story line(!) will hopefully keep the focus back on plots, story arcs and the talent on hand. I really miss the snappy dialogue and keep-you-guessing moments which first got me addicted in the first season.

@kaydee...I personally hope they have learned from this mess not to bring on a fifth member to the team. It did not work with kay and it def did not work with lori. They need to leave the team alone. Dont try to fix what is not broken. I am all for bringing on some new temporary characters but no more leads added please!!! It is all about chin, kono, steve, and danno. Perfection.

Oh and I forgot to add, AOL needs to put more weight back on. It has aged him. He is still gorgeous but a little less so. I hope he starts to take care of himself more, all he would really need to do is add to his diet to keep up with his workout. Maybe he will see what we are seeing and do something about it. He needs to be healthy to keep up with this show.

I love Steve and Catherine together...now that is chemistry. I also like that she has a career and is not a member of the team. Last season had the perfect amount of interaction between Steve and Catherine and in a couple of other episodes she was talked about as helping the team. Don't want a soap opera...just enough romance to show that all the team members have a personal life. The Lori character never fit in..she never had any chemistry with anyone on the team. The endless time that was spent on this character threw off the entire chemistry of the show. The stupid handcuff scene meant that we were short-changed with Chin and Malia's wedding. She was in 15 episodes and contributed nothing. She could have been fired at the end of Episode 2 for the same reason as in Episode 16.

Loved loved loved this episode. I thought it was done very well and I enjoyed the suspense aspect of it. I felt like I did not know what what around the corner the whole episode. That is what H50 is all about.
Really happy they let lori resign and not end it in a way that we will have to hear about how unfair the treatment of her was in her final episode. I thought they handled her departure well and it would make sense she needed to go. Even she said her feelings for steve clouded her job. Right there you know it is time to go. Not safe for the team if one is falling for another. I am glad she sort of brought it on her last day, she should have done that sooner.
Overall I was pleased with this episode and am really looking forward to the rest of the season to focus on the four stars of this show. Bring it!!

@kerry - Catherine was being transferred so it would be more a time apart. He told her he'd vacation there (Mumbai) so they could see each other (she said she'd like that). Didn't sound like a break up to me.
Even with Lori gone the war will continue for a while. Quirky was a good word for her but her acting was not good and, to me, the only one she had any chemistry with was Max guess cause he's quirky too. Her departure wasn't abrupt but forthcoming because she was only signed on for 12 (then extended to 16) episodes.

Also, I have to agree that Alex is getting too thin. I was saying that to my husband last night. That is the result of training for extreme endurance events. I have friends that do that sort of thing and it makes them look several years older than they are.

I thought the episode was very good. It was fun watching them work a crime scene all dressed up. I certainly will not miss Lori but it was a nice parting gesture that she gave the football tickets to Steve. The shocked look on his face when she (inadvertently) admitted her feelings was priceless. I'm glad she owned up to her failings. Chin and Kono were great and I loved when Danny spoke Russian. Love Catherine, sorry she didn't have more screen time, but hopefully she will - Steve needs some good loving! I even liked the Governor (not a favorite of mine either from his Judging Amy days) when he rescued Chin! IF they decide to bring another character on hopefully they'll consider the dynamics of the personalities and find someone as capable as the originals and not just because tptb have a soft spot for someone. Love this show - keep up the good work.

I REALLY didn't like what they did with this episode. Maybe I missed something, but didn't they have Steve and Catherine break up for good a few episodes ago? I took it as a "tying up loose ends" so that he and Lori could get together without him looking like a player. I really liked the Lori character. She was quirky and it seems like they were building up her and Steve getting together. They had a lot of chemistry - something that Steve and Catherine DON'T have. Her departure seemed very abrupt to me.
