Even in season 1 the plots were fairly predictable. This year, we just wait until it is on demand, it has become almost like House. I was able to predict which organ was going to fail first. Bring Wo Fat back and get down to using all your characters like in the old 5-0. This show is fast going the way of CSI:Miami for me, not willing to waste the hour.

I like Scotts dad last, but I Don't want him returning. I think he would demand to big a roll, he thinks he's still a big star. We would be right back to having time taken from Kono and Chin. In fact Chin could've taken last night off.

@Lena - You are not in minority regarding Papa Caan. Read my review.
@martinelli.......I have tried to give comment on your Blog but for some reason I do not get a approval from LJ or WorldPress :(

I loved this episode! Perfect balance of drama and comedy. LOVED James Caan's character! As far as the storyline with Grace, I just hope they keep her young for as long as possible. Not like on some shows, one season they're 6, then the next they've suddenly aged to 16.
I have to admit though, I'm missing some of the intense fight scenes between McG and the bad guys!
OHHHH!!! What do I miss the Champ-Box this season Aldo I love some light comedy episodes so now and then it is time to get back to some drama because they are the most strongest episodes for me.
I personally only liked this episode for the McDanno banter and one liners that's all but seriously the crime cases get weaker every week they sure need better writers for that one. The humor is great but I watch for both.
Maybe I'll be in the minority here but I thought James Caan overpowered the show to much he was almost in every scene even in the interrogation room. Hope this was a one time appearance for James Caan I know the character of Tony Archer can become a recurring one but having him on too often will take away from the core4 that we faught too hard to get back.

give me a break they look to much like each other they should of mad him some long lost uncle that way it would of been mor realy
I found it mostly really corny with some good bits (when JC actually played it straight instead of overacting). Heavy handed overall, and the last pizza scene was way too much. As was the scene with Danny being so stupid as to equate a 10 year old boy with a stalker - like, don't trust Grace's smarts (which are, apparently, better than Danny's in this case.)
As for other episodes this season which were far better: the first one; the North Korea one; the "international incident" episode. In case one needs a reminder, check the first season for a consistency in character establishment and development. And see this season, with a few exceptions, wandering all over the map in terms of those critical elements of a series. Maybe I should have just followed Martinelli's "no comment" contribution but turning this show into a comedy hour will do more to kill it for me than Lori could ever have done.
LOVED IT. I am soooooooooooo hoping that "Daddio" will be making a LOT of return visits.

Have to agree, best episode this sophomore slump of a season. Still love the show, will still watch, but I desperately pray it gets back to the fun, exciting popcorn fest it was in its first season!

We will see if the producers really got the message as it looks like they have by getting rid of the blonde and not having O'Quinn on every show. I am glad J Cann was on as a guest but PLEASE don't turn it into his show. The fab 4 are the show.

Favorite moments were, Max having an aneurysm over his dead body being missing. McG saying, "pretend I'm an idiot" and Archer saying "OK" and nothing else. "bookem muscles". The plot had some twists as well.
Danny got a little too overprotective there, but considering what happened to Grace in a previous episode, I think we can cut him some slack. He will absolutely be cleaning his gun, when Gracie's dates start showing up in a few years.
Again it was a fun episode, relax, they won't all be like this. And they have not been like this most of the season, so I think they are making up for it now. Its different then other shows, and I like it that way.

This was another great episode. Loved James Caan, I hope they have him come back a couple of times a season. Loved all the one liners. The cargument with all three of them. McGruff, Magoo, Muscles, hairdo. Very funny. I have seen most people on other sites liking this, but there were those who complained about it being another comedy. Please people, we have had very little of this in the previous episodes. Let us have some fun. More drama will come towards the end I'm sure. Especially because of all the problems with a certain previous character, lets please just enjoy this. It flows so much better now. James Caan added to the episode, he did not detract or take over, he blended in well.

Dreadful episode.
What has 5'0 turned into. Some lame comedy hour. I remember Alex saying he only wanted to take the role if the show stayed in the vein of the original show. Its pretty unrecognizable now. I'd take Lori anyday over the horrible James Caan character. What's up with Danny telling Grace that 10 year old boys have motive and are evil. Nice way to turn your kid neurotic.
The only good thing about this is that Alex looked a lot better this week.

I agree with everyone! This was my favorite episode this season and probably one of my favorite episodes of the series. James Caan was awesome. I loved the banter between the 3 three of them in the car and then when he met Chin and Kono. I loved him on Las Vegas as well. He was actually the reason I watched the show. I hope they have him back.
"Did anyone else expect some sort of nod to Scott and James being related? I really thought we would get some sort of inside joke, but that wasn’t the case."
Since father and son look and sound so alike, that "inside joke" persisted throughout the episode.

I'm glad Dennis Miller was only in the episode for a few minutes. I can't stand him anyway and the character he played on the show managed to totally annoy me in just that short time.
The rest of the episode was great! They even managed to work in Kamekono. His guy is their guy! That was awesome. And the last scene was my favorite. It was nice to see Danny and Steve relaxing for a change. I'd like to see more of that sort of thing, preferably with the whole team next time. An the group hug was totally cute!
They left it open so that they can bring Tony back in future episodes. I really hope they do. The was by fary favorite episode of the season.
