NBC Announces Return Date for Community, New Spring Schedule
Matt Richenthal at .We'll try to contain our excitement as we report this, but... NBC HAS ANNOUNCED A RETURN DATE FOR COMMUNITY!!!!!!!!
The sitcom, which the network yanked off its schedule in December, will once again fill the 8 p.m. time slot on Thursday nights, beginning March 15.
Community will take over the spot currently occupied by 30 Rock, which will shift to 8:30 p.m., and be followed by The Office and Up All Night in their regular positions.
Parks and Recreation, meanwhile, will then go on hiatus until April 19, returning at 9:30 p.m. and taking the spot of Up All Night once that sitcom completed its first season run.
NBC will also debut a trio of new comedies this spring:
- Bent (March 21), which stars David Walton and Amanda Peet and is described as “romantic comedy about a womanizing, surfer dude contractor and his beautiful, no-nonsense, type-A client, who work together to remodel each other’s lives as they renovate her Venice, California home.”
- Best Friends Forever (April 4), which features Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham as, well, best friends forever.
- Betty White’s Off Their Rockers (April 4), a Punk'd-like hidden camera series.
