@Lorrie--you're most certainly NOT alone in the thought that the judges are being far, FAR too nice. The only truly negative comment I heard last night is noted in the review and was directed at Hollie. Otherwise, our lovely panel spouted rainbows and sunshine all night long.

I agree with most of what you said. However, I did like Hollie's performance. I do think she connected with the audience. I think Elise did a great job with Whole Lotta Love. She shows great diversity. I think she could win this. Deandre got on my nerves. I felt like falling asleep until Elise's performance. I just don't understand what's going on with the judges this year! Is it me or are they being too nice. I mean every performance can't be crazy and beautiful. I miss Simon! At least he was honest with the contestants.

@Bruce--Just to clarify, Skylar is my favorite of the other girls in the competition who are her age. Elise is at least 8 years older than Skylar, Jessica, and Hollie and Elise's age shows positively in that she understands who she wants to be as an artist. Skylar does, too. Jessica and Hollie are talented but seem to me to be playing at being stars like this is a high school talent show. Elise is my top favorite girl.
@ Terrie--I think what hurt Colton's performance for me is that I DO know that song. And I LOVE that song. And he didn't really have the big moment that makes that song so powerful. DeAndre most certainly did better in the trio.

Skylar is ur favorite???...there's no doubt that shes the weakest overall performer of the ladies...she is as irritating as Deandre...Phillip...not much to say re that kid except he's ready to be on tour right now.. first time I heard him sing I told my wife that he was going to be a star...but Elise.. dear sweet Elise... what a heart this lady has.. what grace... and what sophistication in her voice and singing..I really love that lady and hope she gets everything she wants out of her American Idol experience...her Led Zepplin song was extraordinary...what a performer!...aloha all

I completely agree with almost everything you wrote. Especially the part about Deandre...he has to go. His voice is annoying although you should have also commented about his annoying hair flips.
Colton should definitely join him in bottom 3. Was bored listening to him.
Glad Elise is finally getting some credit. Was disappointed she landed in bottom group couple of times....good singer...good entertainer.

i agree with Steve, one of the best nights I've seen from Idol. This is the most talented cast top to bottom since season two. you're resentment towards jessica sanchez is bizarre, she has a flawless voice.

I do agree that Colton going first could hurt him......but I don't think his performance was bad. I didn't know the song he sang, but I think he did a damn good job!
Deandre was HORRENDOUS!!! Couldn't understand half the words he was saying........ He did better in the TRIO............
Everyone else, yes even HeeJun, was pretty solid. I was REALLY impressed with Elise. I think HeeJun will be in the bottom three BUT I think Deandre goes home this week.........
