OK is an evolution of characters in the series. But neither did I, and probably even you, we wrote the script for this series. Writers are maintained over the past 4.5 seasons the story of Dan and Serena, and Chuck and Blair. If they wanted a change and evolution are supposed to do that before and not at the end of the series. My opinion is that the only reason why they now Dan and Blair together, because the actors Blake and Penn can not act love scenes. And probably actress Blake Lively left the series at the end of this season?

As for Serena and Nate, their love was not real. Serena was with Nate because the guilt feelings and that she owes something to him. In addition to Dan, with all the other guys with whom Serena was, was because they felt that she owed something. With Nate, because he lost his virginity to her. With Carter as he helped her to find her father. With Aaron it was like a little school in the summer was married to him, and he kept the ring. With Ben because she felt responsible because he was in prison. Only with Dan she was because she genuinely loved him, and on her, without remorse.

I completely disagree with you. Dan and Blair have not been a sudden occurrence albeit I don't think it has been written that well this season mainly due to how erratic they have made Blair. Dan had not been alienating Blair - she has been managing that all on her own and you know something I actually like the fact that he tried to give her and Chuck another chance but after it didn't happen fought for her himself. And as much as I like Serena - she is a bit of a flake. I don't want to see them all end up with the same people otherwise there's zero evolution and that is monumentally boring. Cripes I would hate to think of myself back with my first love.

Actually you are wrong. Blair and Dan are in love, only 1 or 2 episodes. In season four, their love did not occur because the Blair chose Chuck. During the 5 season Dan is in love with Blair as Serena in him. However, Dan spin their feelings towards Blair, isolating it from Chuck and Serena, to manipulate her. In 10 episode this season, Rufus told Dan to express their feelings for Blair. However, Dan did not do, so he organized to Blair and Chuck to be together. After 100 episode writers have turned upside down in a series of events and it is now the case. This is now a new series, which has nothing to do with first 100 episodes. I am a big fan of Serena and Dan, and I think that this is now totally sucks!

Seriously so everyone but Dan and Blair deserves to be happy?? They've all done fairly reprehensible stuff at times so none of them on that basis deserve anything. Dan and Blair have been building up for ages. Chair got dull, Derena became a no go once they got a half sibling and Dair is an unlikely, yet interesting pairing. Me, I just watch the show and take it as it comes. Yes this season hasn't been great but it was the Louis storyline and the obligatory angst of Chair that did that. Used to love the back/forth of Chair but it was just one time too many and am over it. I hope all the characters end up happy but I guess that's just me.

Exactly! Look they had a chance to make Ban work in Season 4. Chuck and Serena kind of deserved to lose Dan and Blair back then. But nope, they didn't continue it! And I was fine just going back to dying for Chair and being sad at their parting in the season 4 finale. But in comes 5x01 and it's as though we've been set up for a Ban season. It didn't work! It's not like 2x01 Chair! We longed with all our hearts for Chair after those bitter-sweet, heart-breaking scenes between them in the season 2 premier. It's not the same!
Even if the writers create this interesting story line for Chuck without Blair while trying to create sweet Ban scenes, it's still not going to make most of us jump ship to Ban. History always ties us back to Chair and Derena!

I just hope that Chuck's going to have a real interesting storyline (Jack's return, Bart's flashback), something else than Blair. I read all the comments, and I think Chuck can be, and is Chuck Bass even without Blair! There were a wonderful couple, but people can't always play games.
For Dan, I don't agree with all comments. I think Dan judged the NJBC in the previous season, because he was not a part of this world, and envy those people. But now he actually is, and since he gets that, he stopped judging everybody around. I actually enjoy the whole Dair stuff, because it's refreshing, and they have a lot in common.
And like other people said, people change!

Nope, not happy with Dair. What was the point in bringing up Serena's love for Dan? What was the point in Blair saving Chuck and feeling dead inside without him? What was the point in having Chuck still love Blair? What is the point in all of this if they're just going to end it with Dair? It's not fair at all. So many ships crash and burn if Dair become the endgame couple. On top of that, Dair isn't pulling me in enough to want them to win. They don't have history on their side.

@Zoran You're absolutely right, the basic rule is to give viewers what they want and what they don't expect. Dair is the best way to go about it. Just imagine if it would have been Derena and Chair all over again. Would that be interesting enough? There is no development in that - but with Dair the producers can do a whole range of things. Surprise us. Enjoyable indeed.

seriously?! The TV line's interview looks more legit than this. It looks like a fake interview. Sorry TV fanatic but it seems to me that you're bias to one couple :/

I’m not sure if I do want a Chair endgame either. Chair has been destroyed. As well as Derena.
LOL @ Dan was the only one who accepted Blair the way she is. Hell yes, dumbest saying ever.
If Chair will be rebuilt, I would be the happiest person ever. But if not, I want Chuck ending up alone or with Ivy maybe. Haha.
Serena and Nate should get together, she deserves so much better than being knocked down by Dan (and her "BFF".) And honestly, is there anything better on the UES than Nate Archibald?
Chuck dying? If Chuck would ever die, it would be in the SERIES finale.

Safran not at all interested in what the audience thinks. He makes his story not caring about the audience or audiences for the series. For this situation in the series he is only on the guilty. He and the writers made the story from three seasons, and he gave the audience a false hope that maybe Serena and Dan, and Chuck and Blair to be together at the end of the series. He had no balls to finish the series in season 4, but has consistently continued to reach the 100 episode. And never mind that in the way he will destroy the series. Now look at the crap out of love between Blair and Dan, at the same time last season, they could not be submitted. This all reminds of the series Dosons creek. I do not know who was the producer of the series, but look how it ended so will this.
