Jay Ryan Cast in Beastly CW Role

The CW has tracked down a Beast for Kristin Kreuk's Beauty.

Jay Ryan - most recently seen as a murderous security guard on Terra Nova - has been cast on the network's updated version of Beauty and the Beast... which is really an updated version of a 1980s drama that starred Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton.

As opposed to the ABC remake of the famous fairy tale - which will feature Ruth Bradley as a princess and Darius Campbell as her unlikely suitor - the CW pilot will actually have a procedural element to it and take place in modern times.

Sounds... interesting, no?
