It's always so "interesting" the way many Tiva fans feel defensive about opinions that don't match their own, and admonish fans who aren't devotees of the Tiva idea. They tell us (as if they are actually convinced that they know) that we - must hate the show and should just quit watching it. How dare we rock the boat in the sacred little pretend tiva world! This whole - my way or the highway attitude - is such a testament to a rather curious intolerance of any opinions but their own. I think "tiva" is at this point, mostly just a ploy to entice, hang on to, and tease the younger viewer demographic. The cute "chemistry" between Tony and Ziva, IMO has been MIA for several years now. I can live with the fact that some fans want to see these two really pretty actors become a really pretty couple, but for some, the actual evidence of their past behavior doesn't even come close to adding up to something resembling a caring, mutually gratifying, mature, or loving relationship. NCIS has been especially great lately. I love that they're finally letting the characters develop and grow! The way they have been writing the Tony/Ziva aspect feels really steady and natural, realistic. Hope they keep up with the awesome writing! Although I do think a little more McGee development could be nice.

I love NCIS. And I love TIVA. I have seen TIVA since the moment Ziva walked into the squad room in KILL ARI and asked Tony if he was "having phone sex". I have faith that the writers of NCIS can have Tony & Ziva in a committed, romantic relationship without it being the center of the show. Michael & Cote have an amazing chemistry which carries over into their portrayal of Tony & Ziva. Gibbs' rule #5 is "Don't waste good". Michael & Cote and Tony & Ziva ARE GOOD. Please don't waste this. I can't wait for this episode.

[continued] Just because they're becoming closer friends and trusting each other more doesn't mean the show is turning into a soap opera. It's still a crime show and solving a case every week is still the main focus of each show. Each character has been getting their time in the spotlight, and the team interactions are still fun, amusing and entertaining. But, the show has been going on for 9 years now and in that time, characters and relationships change, just like in real life. You should either embrace the changes and enjoy the show and the characters for how they are, or if it's not something you like anymore, instead of complaining about it just stop watching!

Sounds great, so proud of Ziva she is such an awesome character and has done a lot of growing! I don't know how people can say that there is no chemistry between Tony and Ziva - did you SEE the end of housekeeping? They still got it! I also don't know why people would bother watching the show if they dislike it so much and if all they're going to do is make negative comments. The reason people tune in and watch the show is to see the relationships between the characters and the way they all interact wiith each other. That does include the tony/ziva dynamic. Just because YOU may not like the tony/ziva developments doesn't mean the show is a "joke" or that their "chemistry has been killed". The tony/ziva dynamic is, like it or not, one of the reasons people like to watch every Tuesday. The characters have done a lot of growing this year and that includes the tony/ziva friendship/partnership/relationship/whatevership. Just because they're becoming closer friends and trusting each other mo

I hope this finally means we're moving forward with TIVA. Enough of teasing and games, enough of the 2 steps forward, 50 back. If done right this could bring an incredible new angle to all of the characters. Bring it on!

Oh, I can't wait to see this episode! Ziva has come a long way from her Mossad days and her emotional breakdown in Aliyah. She's growing up and learning that it's ok to show emotions now. The way she and Tony talks now are so open and honest. Ziva and Tony have been through so much thick and thin in their partnership, and this has only strengthened it.
How interesting that I'm just now hearing that Cote de Pablo hates crime stuff....when she's been doing crime stuff since 2004. That doesn't sound or look like someone who hates crime stuff. :-) And she does a pretty awesome job of wielding the gun.
Oh, I guess most people don't realize that most crime/drama shows do have romantic pairings and have always done that. This is not something new. As long as they can balance out the the crime along with the relationships of characters as another commenter said, you'll see that the job is done right and this is the reason for the huge viewer fan base for NCIS, consistently every week.

awesome I can't wait to see tiva moment I know they won't get together and go back to the dance they do when the go back to DC. Janet is right if you don't like NCIS why do you watch then if you hate everything about. am not saying everyone has to like Tiva it's fine if you don't but some fans on here don't like anything about it tho.

Don't think Tony and Ziva have chemistry. Just don't see it now Gibbs and Jamie Lee Curtis's character oodles of it.
I love NCIS. It is funny, intriguing, quizzical, curious, and most of all entertaining. The boy can't always get the girl or the electric attraction is a fizzle - I'm in for the adventure where ever this ride goes! Keep up the good work NCIS.

I just wish if tptb feel the need to attract younger viewers by playing up the UST of these two characters, that they will keep it in subtext, and not make the anvils so overt. The last few Tiva endorsements by third party characters were so forced and awkward. I personally don't see romantic attraction between the two characters anymore. I think it got killed somewhere between seasons 6 and 7, when Ziva betrayed the team, attacked Tony, tried to have him removed from the team, and then was written to do nothing but insult, look down on, and snark at Tony for the following seasons. Do they even like each other? I sure can't tell. I wish the writers would remember that some adults who aren't straining to see a viable romance consider this entire line of thinking soapish, cheesy, and unrealistic.

I think the crime, mixed with characters, mixed with relationships or lack there of, and all the other components of NCIS give it a HUGE viewer base, and contribute greatly to it's success. While one may watch if for the crime stuff another may enjoy the flirting on occasion. Well rounded show is what it is!

I just do not see the point of making NCIS a CRIME show into a soap opera if Cote de Pablo hate the crime stuff on the show why the hell did she join in the first place

@Lexie, I'm afraid they will do that too. But I'm hoping that since they have gotten rid of Ray and Wendy they will keep them moving forward. This season has been about decisions and growing so I'm hoping by the finale they have taken two steps forward and no looking back
