NCIS Scoop: Cote de Pablo Teases Tiva Trip to Colombia

at . Comments

What will happen between NCIS' Tony and Ziva when they go to South America together next month? Cote de Pablo (Ziva) shares some insight on that very subject in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Cote notes that on one of the last trips Tony and Ziva took - to Paris, in Season 7's "Jet Lag" - the pair gave conflicting reports about the nature of their interactions, keeping viewers guessing as to what took place.

That was exactly their intention, she says.

“The France trip was really great, lots of fun. But Michael [Weatherly] and I had our own agenda. The way we played scenes was that something definitely happened, even though it was never addressed,” she recalls.

On the show's next new episode, airing April 10, the pair takes a trip to Colombia to work a case alongside a longtime friend and mentor of Ziva’s, played by guest star Karina Lombard of The L Word fame.

According to de Pablo, during the course of the episode, this character from her past, who viewers will meet for the first time, seeks to instill in Ziva the realization that life is a series of important choices.

“In this particular episode, I can’t say that much happens, but at the end, there’s definitely a moment where you may take a closer look at the way DiNozzo may feel for Ziva,” she teases.

With three episodes left for her to film this season, de Pablo says she’s not sure how the events from this episode will influence the end of the current season - or the 10th season starting next fall.

“That’s a really good question and I talked about it with [EP Gary Glasberg] and the writers. I think they have a little bit of information they’re not giving to me,” she says. “We’ll have to wait and see.”

Oh Michael, you think KATE was respectful to Tony?! And Dead Man Talking is a perfect example of how Kate was perpetually snarky to Tony! And after that episode, she never missed an opportunity to shove it in his face that he "tongued a transvestite", including SWAK, when the guy was DYING of the plague! And you claim to be a Tony fan? Sorry, but no one will ever convince me that Kate respected Tony. Sadly, they've written Ziva since season 7 to be snide and self-righteous to Tony (and Tony only),despite the fact he forgave her for the nightmare events of sesaon 6 and risked his life to avenge her "death". Too bad, because I used to love Ziva and Tony together. Now I just hope she realizes her faults, just as Tony has been doing all season, and starts treating him better and accepts the fact she isn't as perfect as she thinks she is.

Loving the way path the writers are taking this season; realistically growing Tony and Ziva's relationship to a point at which it can last. Don't get me wrong, I love sexual tension, but real love can be just as (or more) fulfilling for the audience. Lots can be done with the storyline! I hope this episode continues to bring them closer together. Actually, I'm really looking forward to this episode for multiple reasons. Jimmy Palmer's best man!? How can this episode be a disappointment!??

Tony & Zivas chemistry is what made me a die hard NCIS fan however waiting 7+ years to see them finally realize they belong together is a little too much. Looking forward to this episode, hope it doesn't disappoint. Don't want to have Gibbs & Ryan monopolizing an episode Tiva fans have been looking forward to. This is supposed to be a Zivacentric episode, lets make it that. Hope all of the Wendys, EJ, Jeannes & Rays are all gone for good.

Can't wait for this one. Big fan of Katrina L from her days on The 4400 so I'm looking forward to seeing what Monique is like. And the whole idea of Tony and Ziva .. :-)

So Baic NCIS is going to become House and we all saw what happen there well Tiva you got what you wanted NCIS taken off the air Thank A lot now what are we going to do on Tuesdays

It just make me miss Kate more there a woman who respect and care about Tony like last night they show Dead Man Talking and Tony and Kate were throwing out Theory's of why so many money in 100 THAT WAS PERFECT THAT THE REAL NCIS. "Now its Tony your a dumb ass your worthless I am a better agent then you go kill yourself Gibb hate you your going to die alone"-Ziva If you guys like that fine but just like when CSI gave into their shippers want they become a couple its Bye Bye Tiva and then NCIS is screw because they wont have a fanbase. Because they don't care about their REAL fan base anymore and the one who only love Ziva will quit ounces they get their dream of destroying the show That why I love criminal minds they listen to their Fanbase and told the H/P shipper to shut Up!!! when the H/P shipper first starting appearing and fucking up the show. Last season end perfect these season was perfect till "Newborn King" "Housekeeping" THEN it became Dawson Creek with Guns

I am looking forward to this episode. Finally, someone from Ziva's past who is not affiliated with Mossad. We might just get a whole new POV on one of my favorite characters. And I am anticipating a few moments of TIVA. Which, to me, is always a good thing.

Looking forward to this episode. Monique sounds like a very interesting character. Plus, Tony and Ziva getting some "alone" time? Bonus. :)

I think it's gonna be good to see a mentor from Ziva's past who, from the sounds of it, might have been a healthy influence. Also looking forward to a Tiva trip :)

hi tiva seems like its going to be a great episode.Aimee loved your comment as i see most people like the tiva connection and for those who dont thats ok as well everyone has there own opinion its just that some people write nonsense and i cant be quiet.

Tony: One other question, I know you're an expert in English history. And I was just wondering, have you ever heard of Archibald Drummond, the 17th Earl of Trent?
Ducky: The Earl of Trent. No, I can't say I have. Why?
Tony: I was just wondering. Thanks.

McGee: All right. Well you should probably know that Abby and I used to date?
Bishop: Ew. Like, each other?
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: Wait - isn't that a violation of rule 12, never date a....
McGee: It was a long time ago. After we'd broken up, one night I went to her lab. Found a scribbled piece paper; a list. Potential boyfriends had to fulfill certain conditions by a pre-arranged date or else, goodbye.
Bishop: Such as.
McGee: Things started off relatively normal: opening the door for her, flowers, putting the seat down. Then around number 8, it gets uh...
Bishop: What?
McGee: Does she know you have these?
Bishop: Does she know you have these?
McGee: Yeah she wasn't happy when she found out.
Bishop: These are all very specific.
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: These ideas apply to you?
McGee: No those rules weren't in place when we were together. At least I don't think so.
Bishop: What's with the two month cutoff? Abby's sabotaging herself. I've seen stuff like this before. We have to talk to her.
