I have watched this show for a long time and Im sorry to say I dont know if I can keep watching it. Yes it has gone downhill.... but with the colton ordeal that about hit it south with me.

  2. Anna

OMG! Colton on Survivor just displayed the most disgusting behavior against human beings that I have seen in a long time. Shame on you Colton. I would have expected more from a person with his education. You may be proud to be gay but you have not right to be proud of your humanity.

Like everyone here, I have never been so disgusted by someone on Survivor as I am by Colton. I am also disappointed in the rest of the men for allowing that to go down. I do not know why they did not vote Colton out. I have been very disappointed in the overall casting this year, and it it getting harder every week to watch. On a different note, I cannot wait until Bill has a show in my town. I will go to the show and support him 100%! We all should!

Just watched this show and I am left with such a vile taste in my mouth. So this is entertainment these days? The one gratifying thing about reading down through all these posts is that not ONE person has said anything good about that little worm of a "man".

Colton can go to hell! He is playing on people's hesitance to attack him for fear of being called homophobic. screw this pathetic excuse of a human being. i speak on behalf of America and we do not tolerate such lowly, empty, self centered, despicable people. the other men on that tribe are absolutely spineless. i cant all those fully grown able bodied men stood by with their tails tucked between their legs while that queer worm viciously launched ad hominem attacks on Bill. i think this kid mistakes people's kindness for weakness. Go to hell and rot there Colton. America HATES U!!!

I too feel very annoyed with this season. My first thought is how did coltons personality even make it for casting. I'm just bummed that my husband and I are so disgusted by what we've seen that we do not even want to watch the rest of the season

  7. Breal

I have never been so profoundly disgusted with the production of this show.
    1. The men should have never been allowed to interrupt the natural order of the show
    2. Colton's remarks should have faced more criticism by Jeff
    3. The integrity of survivor as a family show has been ruined
    4. The game has devolved, its no longer about the social aspect, and its frankly not appropriate for the family

I hope the producers realize what a mistake they have made. I am no longer interested in watching survivor as the integrity of the show has been comprimised. This move by the men is not in accordance with the game. As a fan of survivor since season one when I was middle school, I am very sad that I can no longer see the show in the same light.

If anyone has information on how to send a hard copy letter to the producers. Please post that info, and I encourage everyone to communicate their dissapointment and disgust.

I can't believe that none of the men didn't just vote off Colton ! Bill you are the best , thank you for standing up against Colton ! This is the first time I'm considering not watching the show again!

  9. Phelix

I am embarrassed for Colton, he will be a very lonely human in this world. So hateful.

Family entertainment? As a mother of 3 boys who love the challenges & enjoy the villains (we love to hate) for their funny, scheming plots, I was embarrassed to watch--not entertaining, nor suitable for family viewing. Colton was not scheming to win $1M, it was an attack on the majority of the population, "the tired, poor, huddled masses yearning to breathe free." Shame on CBS for crapping on our dreams! And if done for ratings, more shame. I hope CBS offers witness protection to the villains. I hope Colton has no aspirations for a political career, he's going to need a back-up plan! I hope every hit comedy show gives Bill a chance to become a wealthy, beloved comedian. He deserves it for his class and grace.Wouldn’t you be scared to go against someone who could manipulate a team of "men" to give away immunity because one member couldn't tolerate the presence of another human being a few days? Giving away immunity to punish betrayal? That's just sick for so many reasons.

I'm actually glad survivor showed this foolishness. Queen colton is the only person that has disgusted me after all these years. The level of racist ignorance of that child is abhorrent. I am embarrassed for even witnessing that.

  12. CM

Colton should be embarrassed... no, mortified by his disgusting behavior. Something tells me though that this pathetic man child is not capable of self reflection and believes everyone else in the world has the problem. It's too bad the Survivor executives gave him a platform. They should issue an apology to Leif for sure. As for Bill, what respect I have for someone that shows humility and understanding even while being berated and abused. That is called agape and I wish myself that capable. Hope he catches a break in his comic pursuits.

My husband and I watched the last 30 minutes in complete disbelief. Between the eye rolling, the overly flamboyant gestures and the intense display of bigotry and hatred we saw we were both floored. I am absolutely disgusted that no one on that men's team stood up to him and said anything while he went on his rampage. Bill was definitely the bigger man and didn't stoop to Colton's level.
Where was the rest of the team's spine, dignity and class as human beings? We kept watching and waiting for someone to say anything, but to sit silently and then vote out the object of such a vile rant was absolutely disgusting. They should all be ashamed and kicking themselves for their part in all of this. Why in the world wouldn't you listen to that "conversation" and then pull your head out and vote out Colton???? I'm completely baffled.

  14. Janice

There have been several times during the last 24 season that I have felt like writing the producers for some reason. But not until tonight did I sit down to write something. Bill, should you be able to read this, I humbly admire you. To be so accepting of someone. Even someone who could put you down so much, and trample on you. Despite all of your best efforts to reach out and talk with him. To accept him for who he is, even when he is completely repulsive. I hope that my children grow up with your understanding and forgiveness. Your lack of judgement. Heck! If only I could be like that! B/c as I write this, I am guilty of it too. Even those of us sitting on our comfy sofas at home are so repulsed by this man. And, frankly, for those on his tribe who are too afraid to go against him and stand up for what is right. But you rise above it all. I wish you happiness, love, and peace. You deserve it. You are a commendable human being.

I was absolutely shocks with the names Colton called leif. This guy is worse than Russell and should he booted off the island ASAP

  16. IdolHater

I think the idol is a bad idea. Before it used to be a challenge to find the idol with clues...it would take skill to find it. Now it seems the contestants basically know the places to look and they find it within the first episode. The idol creates an incredible inequality in the game i.e. Colton would've been long gone by now if he didn't have the idol. There is no social strategy to Colton's game. He luckily received the idol from the women's tribe and that is the one and only source of power. The best seasons of survivor are ones in which the social game takes precedence over everything else. Here, gimmicks are winning out.

I completely agree with ckinsobe and all the other posts on here. Colton was and is just completely offensive and the fact that all those other idiots sat around and listened to him and STILL agreed to vote out Bill is just amazing. How dare his ridiculous comments even be aired. What a TOTAL turn off from Survivor - which I have always loved watching. Roll on next season. With this bunch of halfwits, this one is going to be a total DUD. Time for a new casting crew.

And all credit to Bill who held his head high and went out with complete grace. (Which just made it all the more annoying to watch him leave.)

Colton is not a 'villain' or a 'bad guy'. He's just an offensive, immature, unpleasant person.

  18. Linda

It is interesting to me that Colton finds it completely OK to refer to Leif as a "munchkin" and an "oompaloompa"....but it anyone referred to his sexual orientation with a "label" everyone would be up in arms...It is shocking to me that this pompous idiot isn't disposed of....make him play the idol and then boot his obnoxious ass off...My mouth was hanging open through the last half of this episode, Colton's eye rolling and over the top flamboyant behavior has set gay rights back 5 years. Shame on him...he is ruining the season for me.

  19. Chris Lambrite

Whats up with Colton calling Leaf a umpaloompa to his face . I cant believe they are letting Colton run the show WTF . What would happen if any of them called that spoiled queen something towards him being gay . Leaf should have dropped him before he got to loompa.

  20. hmmm

Colton is playing in Russell's footsteps - intimidation and contempt but trading physical menace for arrogant flair. The poorer players are scared of him but the better players are thinking about how they can get to the final three with him there as a zero vote sideshow.

  21. pietem48

Colton was the most disrespectful arrogant snob. I thought our society had taken care of these kind of people long ago. His spineless teammates should have know enough to have surprisingly voted him off tonight. Hope they get the gutts to get rid of him soon. We'll see.

  22. abc

Its a shame Bill went home for no other reason than a despicable, rich, spoiled immature kid was afraid of the "scary" black man.

But you know what's a bigger shame? That nobody stood up for Bill. Not in camp, and not in tribal, either. Colton's comments made me furious, but the rest of the team's lack of response just made me sad.

I'd like to think that if I was in tribal, I would have had the guts to tell Colton to shut up, and ask the rest of my tribe to just vote Colton off right then and there. After all, it was his ridiculous idea to go to tribal in the first place, just so he could get rid of his personal enemy who he has no logical reason to hate other than racism.

Overlooked in this episode were the insensitive comments Colton made to the camera regarding Leif. Some of those comments made me cringe as well.

  23. nct

Was that Colton or Rush Limbaugh we saw? For me tonight SURVIVOR ceased to be entertainment and became an appalling example of bigotry and intolerance.

I hope that CBS will reconsider the advisability of allowing villains to heap abuse on people for dwarfism, their professions, or their racial backgrounds.

  24. amanda

Yes!!! You are dead on with everything I wanted to say

    Rank: Extra

Everything about the second half of this episode was completely absurd. Colton's arrogance, disrespect, and offensiveness (to Bill and to Leif too, it should be noted) is purely despicable and I wish he was the one going home tonight -- that might have justified their giving up of immunity, for Colton is truly the "cancer" on their tribe. Anyone with such blatant disrespect for the dignity of others shouldn't be allowed on television.

The fact that the men all gave in to Colton's absurd plan is further proof of the casting department's horrible job in recent seasons. They are probably high-fiving themselves over Colton (he makes for interesting tv) but have failed to give this game people who are willing to play it and play it for the long-haul, not in such an impulsive, naive way.

Grading this episode on the decisions of the people in it, your one star makes sense, but grading it on its quality as an intriguing, dramatic, entertaining hour of television, it deserves five.
