We all know, true die hard fans myself included obviously, love Andy as a character and what he brings to the table, we are all hoping Andy and Erin get together and
When they finally do the office adds this crappy character who honestly S^%*'s why is Nellie Bertram even in these episodes clearly fans don't like the character, I too felt angry that Andy was replaced, my honest opinion Andy reminds me of Michael, best example I can think of is when Andy get the tattoo to please the office crew that's pure genious, nard dog rules Nellie Bertram in one word "ewwwww"

Coming from an Aussie who is a fan of the US Office AND the UK Office, a person who loves and understands British humour, I can tell you that The Office is not being watched in this household while this bloody awful character is on it. Nellie is just horrible. Unfunny. Ridiculous. The storyline is just stupid with her in it. Like others, I loved David Brent's hideous awkwardness. I "get" British humour, I probably like it more than American or Aussie humour. But I love most of the US The Office characters, and tolerate the ones I can only take in small doses. Nellie is just a weird stupid experiment gone horribly wrong.

This is probably the end for this show. Every time I see C. Tate I think of how annoying she was on Doctor Who. She almost destroyed that show too but thankfully they were smart enough to jettison her after only a few unremarkable episodes. Too bad for the rest of the actors.

OK. I am so sick of all this Nelly hate. She has single handedly made the show BAREABLE. I can literally count the number of times I have laughed at the office this entire season on my two hands. I would have stopped watching if it WASN'T for her. Everything Nelly says is hysterical and brings back the same craziness that Michael used to bring. SHE NEEDS TO BE ON THIS SHOW. I'm sorry, but all of you people have insanely questionable taste levels. I hope to GOD that NBC doesn't bow down to your ridiculousness and change the only good thing the show has going for it right now.

I have watched and loved the office from the first season till now. It was amazing how the writers kept the show interesting and funny after Michael left however Nellie is a real annoying character. I keep expecting her to go away and it doesn't seem to be happening. She isn't funny at all. She is like fingernails to a chalkboard. I am glad I am not the only one who doesn't like her.

I started watching the show on my DVR, and as soon as I saw Nellie, I turned it off and deleted the whole episode. I won't waste time next week setting the timer. Give me a shout when Nellie is no longer a character.

+1 to ditching Nellie. She is not funny and quite annoying to listen to.

GOD i hate that Nellie character. And i see that the writers are trying to make her more likable with moments of "not being a bitch" but she is just so annoying. Like someone trying and failing to be michael scott in the early season. She has no likability, and i literally dont want to watch the office anymore because i dont want to see her ever get "accepted" by the office or be officially in charge.

I don't find Nellie funny at all. I hope for her sake that she is less annoying in real life than she portrays herself on the show.
While Steve was a hoot when he was on the show, I never believed (and still don't) that he was entirely responsible for the success "The Office" once had. The social interactions of the employees, the pranks, etc. are all things that WE can relate to in our own crazy lives. When Steve left, NBC had a perfect launch pad to introduce some fantastic new plots. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, they decided to invent a most idiotic story line which frankly has not been funny at all. I agree wholeheartedly with the comment that Will Farrell's filler is more entertaining that what Robert California and Nellie have produced.
Dunder-Mifflin needs to be acquired by another company -- get a new CEO, fire the annoying Nellie and get things back on track. Maybe the new company sells more than just paper? Maybe the new plots will actually be funny and no

I literally fast-forwarded through every Nellie scene this week. I will stop watching if remains. That makes me sad, but it's true.

Catherine Tate is an excellent addition to this show and should have been added after all the interviews took place. Her comedic genius and impeccable delivery are key to keeping the Office going. Others may dislike her now, and even cringe at the sight of her character, but the acting weight she brings to the show is something that Ed Helms lacked. It was unfortunate how they decided to terminate the character of "Andy", and it may have been better to keep him on the show, but Helms has a growing film career and so has likely left the show for good reason. Tate's character is still fairly new and so still finding footing with the other characters and audience, but given Tate's potential, I think the Office can come out shining in episodes to come.

I too find the Nellie character extremely annoying -- to the point that I'm not even going to bother watching the show anymore until I hear that she has left - permanently. This latest episode I saw was supremely disappointing. It is utterly sad to think that the interim shows with Will Farrell are much more entertaining that the crap the writers have given us these past several episodes.
What needs to change?
1) Ditch Nellie
2) Get back to the mockumentary theme -- doing real semi-office work with the pranks
3) Get rid of the non-stop perversion -- homosexual themes, penis jokes, etc.

Andy is boring as f***. Like or hate her, Nellie makes the show more interesting, just as Michael Scott in the beginning. They'd be stupid to get rid of her.

I've hated the Nellie Bertram character since it started in those Florida episodes but today was the first time I googled "Nellie Bertram awful" to see if other Office die-hards like myself agreed and I am so happy that such an overwhelming amount of them do! When she walked in the door to take over Andy's job actually made me angry! Even worse, the fact that all of the other characters are accepting it makes me even more mad!
Perhaps the writers are just setting up a monumental episode where she's kicked out of Scranton to justify things but in my opinion it's a risky move because I'm having a hard time even watching lately and I'm not the only one.
She's absolutely not funny in what she says or her delivery. Her presence is unnecessary and annoying. I hope to God NBC is seeing these complaints because I really want to enjoy The Office again.

I agree with everyone here. The office may have jumped the shark with this ridiculous character. The office is off DVR until Catherine Tate is gone. What an awful, awful decision.

Make that 12 out of 40. Nearly 4 to 1 people agree that Tate is the worst thing that ever happened to The Office.

12 out of 38 comments were even mildly positive to Nellie, and i was generous in what counted as positive. This comment officially makes it 12 out of 39. Ultimately, there were more threats to stop watching and demands to cancel the show than there were people in favor of her sticking around. The people have spoken, and I agree.

Nellie Sucks, period. I was hoping Andy would sneak in and move all her stuff out of the manager office and we got to see her blow up in anger when he refused to leave. Then poof, she would be fired or at least gone. That would have made for a much better solution and a funnier episode. She is a terrible character and really brings the show that I have loved for so long to an all time low.

Please all i ask, is GET RID OF NELLIE. Her character has single handedly ruined what i thought could have been a half decent season of the office, from the first episode she was in, we have seen NOTHING Good come from the show. Her humor is awful, During The last 2 episodes, This and Welcome Party. I literally was forced to stop, and skip certain parts she is in. I find myself every single time skipping the times she is involved in the show.
I FINALLY THOUGHT, they killed her character off with the end of Florida. I was thrilled to see they saw how much of a casting error they had made. I can assure you, Nellie was the last mistake the office could have made and they have sealed they future with season 8 being a terrible failure of a flop, and the show will now die off leaving a bitter taste left over in all of us viewers mouths.
Bravo Nellie, You killed The Office.
