It's looking more and more likely that the ninth season of The Office will be the last for this sitcom.

The signs are all there: Mindy Kaling will soon film a new Fox pilot; talk of a Rainn Wilson spinoff continues to heat up; and now sources confirm that the series is seeking a new showrunner because executive producer Paul Lieberstein is planning to focus his time on that new Dwight Schrute project.

Yes, B.J. Novak (Ryan), already a producer, could easily receive a mini promotion, but an insider tells TV Guide about season nine of The Office

"It's likely to be written for some of the characters as a last year. But if a couple new characters are introduced or other story ideas emerge, you just never know."

Ed Helms and John Krasinski are on the verge of signing new contracts, but both will also require breaks to shoot upcoming movies: The Hangover 3 for Helms and Promised Land (with Matt Damon) for Krasinski. Indeed, almost everyone appears to be moving on.

Are you ready to do so? How do you feel about The Office this season and are you prepared to say goodbye in a year?
